Violet Horror

Violet Horror

We ran and ran, continuously looking forward without wanting to look back. But their screams and cries forced us to turn around, discovering a horror we never thought we would experience in our lives.

Even though it was still daylight, the darkness could be felt so strongly, relentlessly chasing us. Our backs felt as if they were touched by a cold wind, indicating that she was still there, watching from behind the shadows, waiting for an opportunity to come and kill.

The number of lives lost became uncountable. We couldn't even retrieve their bodies to give them a final tribute because the bodies were no longer intact. They had transformed into several parts.

We had heard rumors about other races in this new world. But who would have thought that they were capable of doing unimaginable things like what is happening now?

We hid in a room, hoping that she wouldn't find us. But to our astonishment, we saw her penetrate through thick iron walls and grip the head of one of us, before tearing it apart like a piece of paper.

The horror we witnessed with our own eyes cannot be explained. It takes great effort not to vomit at the sight that we know will continue to haunt us every time our eyes are closed.

Running and running again.

Breath feels tight, vision blurry, and the heart feels like it's about to explode. However, we continue to push ourselves to keep going, or else we'll become part of those who are now gone.

We don't want that.

The reason we joined Vulture was to secure a future when the creatures they mentioned would come attacking. Who would have thought that we would be faced with death instead?

I wish I could give up, I wish I could stop moving. This body can no longer bear it.

I want to stay still, accepting the impending death.

The sound of those footsteps echoes in our heads, giving us a palpable sense of fear. When its sharp claws touch the surface of something, every hair on our bodies stands on end, knowing that we are the next target.

Just a few more meters before we escape from this narrow and dark alley. There is a light visible ahead, illuminated by a warm orange color, giving us a new hope to keep moving and fighting for our lives.

We can't give up now, not when we can still survive.

We quicken our pace, causing our already hard-working hearts to ache. But we don't care. Safety is our top priority.

She sounds closer and closer.

I can even feel her right behind me, preparing those sharp claws to tear this body into small fragments.

But!

I believe I can do it! I believe I can survive! Just a few more steps!

I can feel that breath right behind my neck, sending shivers of fear down my spine. I grit my teeth, gather every last ounce of courage, and push my body forward, leaping towards the light where people can already be seen walking.

Just a little bit more! Just a little bit more!

As soon as I felt my body hit the ground, with people startled around me, I could finally breathe a sigh of relief. Hurriedly, I turned around, looking towards the narrow alley where those violet eyes stared at me intensely, pulling the last of us back into the darkness and disappearing.

I could feel my heart pounding so loudly that it drowned out my hearing. Gasping for breath, sweat drenching my body. People approached, concerned by my pale face. They asked if I was okay, but I couldn't quite hear them because I realized one fact.

I survived... I survived!!

I stood up, leaping joyfully without caring about the reactions of those around me. It didn't matter if they thought I was crazy. The important thing was that I survived!

I hurriedly made my way to the predetermined meeting place in case we managed to escape from her. On the way, I hoped that some of us had also managed to escape.

It couldn't be that they all died, right?

Our numbers were significant, although not comparable to Vulture. It was unlikely that she could hunt down all of us, no matter how strong she was. This wasn't a fantasy story where the villains always succeeded before the main character brought about a change.

I am the proof!

The building was already in sight, an old dilapidated structure of a former factory. If I'm not mistaken, its name was Fortzeit. The front door of the building was slightly ajar, indicating that someone had entered inside.

However, as a precaution, I pulled out my pistol, gripping it tightly with both hands, and prepared to enter.

Slowly, I pushed the door open, took a deep breath, and pointed the pistol forward. I quickly lowered it when I saw a figure. They were wearing the same clothes as us, so I approached without worry. Forgot to check the surroundings because I was too happy to see one of us still here.

I called out to them, but they didn't turn around. Instead, they stood there silently, like a statue. A sense of suspicion started creeping up, making me become wary of my surroundings once again. However, the building was too dark and only had minimal lighting from the broken windows above. It only illuminated the center of the room, where I currently stood.

As I got closer to them, my finger ready on the trigger and I turned their body around, felt so lifeless, as if they were no longer alive.

I was startled, falling to the ground with the pistol slipping from my grasp. The figure in front no longer had a face, but rather a bloody mass of flesh with empty eye sockets.

Empty, as if death itself was staring directly at me.

My whole body trembled intensely.

Then, the figure appeared behind the corpse.

Its violet eyes watched me, never blinking.

As its two hands emitted purple flames, I could finally see other corpses hanging, just like the one in front. They floated high in the air, moving slowly as if inviting me to join them up there.

It approached.

The echoing sound of its high heels made my heart beat rapidly, to the point where all I could hear was the call of death. Its right hand gently touched my head, then gripped it tightly.

The last thing I could witness before feeling my soul being sucked away was its smile.

A terrifying smile devoid of any emotion.

Sarah watched the body fall to the ground, creating an echoing sound in this empty building. Now, one group had been destroyed, leaving only two remaining. She did everything to help Zent, hoping he wouldn't be too angry. After all, she did all of this for him, so she couldn't be wrong, right?

Sarah walked out of the factory without turning back to observe the horrifying creation that would become a hot topic among the people in the city in the next few hours. The conversation that would eventually provide information for Zent to track her down and ask her to stop all of this.

Sarah knew that Zent never liked violence and only resorted to it when truly necessary. Or when their opponents deserved it.

Didn't those people behind deserve it? After all, Zent had done the same before, so she had every right to do it too.

Why was it okay for Zent, but not for her?

That's what kept repeating in Sarah's mind until she arrived at the next location. In front of the Blood Reaver group, who still appeared relaxed because they hadn't heard the news about the other group. It didn't take long for them to run like the previous group.

Sarah was so impatient watching them run begging for forgiveness.

She licked her long, blood-stained nails, grinning widely at the people in front of her. The prospective next corpses. She would create the most beautiful masterpiece from those bodies, far more beautiful than her previous creations, to make Zent happy and look in her direction.

Not far behind, the mysterious man smiled with satisfaction as he saw his creation begin to move as desired. He wondered why it took Sarah quite a while to start fulfilling her purpose, almost disposing of her if she still hadn't moved.

But seeing her like this made the man feel so happy. Especially, imagining Zent's reaction when faced with Sarah.

"What a beautiful plan! A MASTERPIECE!!" he proudly exclaimed, then laughed loudly, unaware that Sarah was now temporarily staring at him before descending to begin the slaughter.
