Glory Hunt
A New Plan

A New Plan

"Now, what should we do?" asked the black hair as we all gathered back in the bar.

10 minutes earlier...

"Zhao Feng, do you realize how much trouble you've caused me? Not only did you wreck the bar, but you also attracted the attention of the Whiterangers? I'm lucky they didn't suspect me. Otherwise, this bar would have to be closed until the investigation is over!" exclaimed Euna angrily, stomping her foot and causing the entire building to tremble.

From what I could sense, although not as powerful as Zhao or the black-haired individual, Euna was not far behind them.

Zhao let out a sigh, tossing a bag of gold coins—not just any gold, but the purest gold from the Angels, so pure that its color was no longer gold but white, adorned with a symbol of wings and a halo in a glowing blue color.

Euna's eyes widened as she realized that she was now as wealthy as the elf king.

A gentle smile formed on her beautiful face. "Hoho... Thank you very much for the payment. I will ensure that you receive the best service and feel so comfortable that you won't want to return to your own worlds," she warmly said, walking into the staff room and disappearing, never to be seen again.

"I'm sure she's probably bathing with all that gold. In the kingdom of Elecya, there's no other elf who can match Euna's love for money. That's one of the reasons why she knows us so well, because Zhao always paid her more than necessary," explained black hair, shaking his head, unsure of what else to say to his best friend about their finances.

Both of them knew they were among the wealthiest people in this world. But the way Zhao used gold was excessive, as if gold had no value in his eyes.

Every time he was told, he would definitely speak like this, "Euna is an important figure, so we must maintain our relationship with her. Friendship is important, but business relationships are even more crucial. Without her, we would lose one valuable informant." It left black-hair unable to utter a word because he knew it was true.

After the issue was resolved, we entered our respective rooms, getting ready to enjoy dinner and, of course, looking more presentable. Which, in my opinion, those two didn't need to tidy themselves up because they were the type that always looked stunning no matter the situation.

I always envied people like them.

They could always look amazing while I could only manage to look meh.

Once we were finished, we didn't immediately head downstairs. Instead, they gathered in my room, which I myself couldn't understand why. Unable to refuse, they made themselves comfortable as if it were their own room.

And here they were.

Zhao Feng sat on the edge of the bed, striking his signature pose, crossing his legs and folding his arms. Meanwhile, balack hairsat on the sofa, exuding an air of elegance and intelligence. And there I was, sitting on the floor with a cushion pressed against my chest, listening intently to the conversation unfolding in front of me.

"Are you sure you want to infiltrate their weapon storage? You know that if we're caught, Shenzhen and Elecya will go to war, right?"

Zhao Feng nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. "I know, but we don't have any other choice. It's the best course of action among all the possibilities I've considered," he explained softly.

On the sofa, black hair became tense and restless, lost in deep thought. He glanced at me several times, leaving me wondering what might be running through their mind. "Actually, there is another idea. But I'm not sure if you'll agree to it," he finally spoke up.

However, without needing further explanation, Zhao Feng already knew what his friend wanted to say. "You want to ask Zent to infiltrate there, don't you?"

Black hair appeared surprised but nodded weakly, causing Zhao Feng to sigh once again. "Actually, I also considered that option. It's just that Zent doesn't attract attention and is unknown to anyone here. Whereas the two of us..."

Another sigh escaped his lips.

He turned to me and said, "Zent, I know this sounds sudden. But I think you're the only one who can do it."

I had anticipated it.

No wonder black hair kept looking at me with a guilty expression.

But did I refuse?

Of course not. "Alright, I'll do it," I replied enthusiastically, eager to get started.

"Are you sure?" Zhao asked with concern. "It's okay if you refuse. We still have other options-"

"Don't worry. I'll do my best and come out with that transparent blue cube," I interrupted, trying to reassure them.

"It would be much better if you don't reveal Glory to anyone. But I understand what you're saying," black hair replied, standing up and approaching Zhao, who still seemed unsure. "Just trust Zent, Zhao Feng.

Besides, they are destined to save the world, so it's only fitting for Zent to be prepared for situations like this," he said while placing his right hand on Zhao's shoulder.

He finally taking a deep breath and deciding that this was the path they would take.

"Alright. However, just in case something unexpected happens, we'll be around, ready to lend a hand. Come on, dinner is ready," Zhao said firmly, walking out of the room towards the dining area downstairs, where we had been earlier in the morning.

We followed from behind, keeping a few steps distance. "Just so you know, the gesture earlier was a sign that Zhao likes you as a friend. And for your information, he's the type who finds it very difficult to trust others. Congratulations, Zent, consider it your lucky break today. Stay motivated!" he shouted while patting my back.

Caught off guard, all I could do was smile and nod in agreement, silently saying to myself, "Thank you."

Downstairs, the room began to fill with visitors, getting ready to enjoy dinner while listening to the beautiful music of a singer who was not only lovely but had a voice as gentle as honey. It was so enchanting that it felt like it could carry you into a dream...

Suddenly, Euna tapped me lightly from behind, snapping me out of my reverie, with a wide smile adorning her face. "Don't let yourself get hypnotized by her voice. She uses magic to touch your soul with her beautiful singing.

Not harmful, but it can make you feel tired and drained later on. Just consider it the touch of an elf version of a Succubus," she explained cheerfully, then continued to bring a tray filled with hot food, its enticing aroma making my empty stomach growl in anticipation.

I walked behind her, unaware that she were carrying our meal and setting it on the table where the two inhabitants of the Murim world were seated. The black hair seemed impatient to taste the elf cuisine, which was infused with mana, providing a refreshing sensation akin to a rejuvenating morning full of energy.

Zhao Feng picked up a glass that appeared to be made of smooth white wood, adorned with delicate blue carvings in elegant patterns, giving it a mystical touch. He sipped the silver liquid containing specks of light, enjoying the drink as if it were a fresh morning breeze atop a hill.

He smiled softly, a smile that was rarely seen. But once it appeared, it was hard to forget.

"How is my latest creation, Silvermoon?" Euna asked eagerly, wanting to hear the opinion of the experienced Murim figure sitting in front of them, someone who was well-acquainted with alcoholic beverages. And squealed happily when Zhao Feng answered..

"Give me three to take home"

Knowing that Zhao Feng said that meant he truly enjoyed what he were drinking.

Dinner then commenced.

The room, once in chaos due to the battle, had returned to its pristine state without a single flaw, now filled with the delightful aroma of food in the air. Laughter, the clinking of utensils, beautiful singing, and the presence of people who felt like family filled the atmosphere. It made this evening not only enjoyable but also perfect.

"You're lucky to be able to experience this. What am I doing here?" Z complained.

Oh, just be quiet. I'm trying to be poetic here.
