War has occurred, explosions can be heard not far ahead accompanied by shouts and screams. The footsteps of people running, each firing their weapons with a chant of magic following shortly after. This place has once again become a living hell, a hell that will determine whether Elecya can rise or be forever destroyed.
Orders were given, sending the troops to the front lines, fighting at the risk of their lives while carrying hope. Hope not only for Elecya, but for all of us who are inside. Although they know death awaits, they continue to step forward with determination evident on their faces. There is no fear there, no worries, only a desire to win the war.
The pirates, on the other hand, are a bit different. They see this as a pleasure, something they do out of boredom. Their faces are not hardened with confidence like the elves. Smiles and laughter adorn their faces.
It's like playing in a playground, jumping, swinging while firing their weapons. Whoever kills the most, becomes the winner. The Captain stands not far behind, holding Glory. It shines brightly as it is being used.
Prince Alcya and Captain Varren are at the forefront, leading the troops into the battlefield. As someone who has just arrived, I immediately want to join and make a spectacle. That's why I ran there, leaped high, and entered the midst, slamming Glory right into the ground.
A massive wave is formed, moving the road, advancing like a tidal wave, swiftly instilling fear in the pirates as death draws near.
The war momentarily pauses, silently witnessing the power of Glory. It's unexpected that this transparent cube possesses such strength, despite rumors always claiming that Glory could never rival those who use magic.
They are not wrong, Glory is indeed weaker if used for casting spells. However, if used like this, Glory can become a tremendous force. And it appears that I'm not the only one who realizes this.
The pirate captain also uses it to fortify his crew, almost matching the physical strength of the Beastmen. According to Zhao and Wei, the Beastmen are bipedal animals with intelligence and their own governing systems, much like other worlds.
The Captain steps forward, pushing his Glory ahead.
Upon contact, my waves crumble and scatter, shattering like crashing against a reef. There he stands, amidst it all, a wide grin adorning his face. Perhaps he feels he has found a worthy opponent, someone who can finally make him enjoy the battle.
"Blimey! Never did I reckon to come across a wielder of Glory. I be Captain Helfar, and 'tis a privilege to make yer acquaintance, matey" he says while tipping his wide black hat.
"Arr, unfortunate it may be, but I be compelled to send ye to Davy Jones' locker right here and now.
Someone made me a grand promise if I collected ten o' them cubes. Yet, what if ye were to hand over that Glory willingly, and we part ways without the need for a tiresome skirmish like this?"
Upon hearing the offer, the elves are naturally intrigued. They would no longer need to go through dangerous fights to resurrect Elecya. The real question is, can they be trusted?

They are pirates, people who find pleasure in the suffering of others. They seem to care little about this war and see it as a way to alleviate boredom. People like that, who cannot value the lives of others, cannot be trusted.
That's why all of us were surprised to hear Prince Alcya's words, "We will give it to you, but promise that you will never set foot here again."
Varren approaches, urging the Prince not to do it because they cannot be trusted. "I beseech Your Highness to reconsider this. They could easily deceive us and make us lose the only power we have to defeat them.
And even if they leave, they can return at any time, considering they have already defeated us once. It is better for us to defeat them now, so they never think of setting foot here again," he explains quickly.
The troops nod in agreement; they have no intention of accepting a victory handed to them without a struggle. It would be a hollow victory without a purpose. Once they come back to attack, destruction awaits at the end of the road.
It is far better for them to defeat them now, to permanently drive away the pirates and build a strong relationship among the elves, so that if they are attacked again, they won't fall easily.
The Prince sighed, shaking his head in disagreement. "Do you want to suffer again? Do you want to feel pain and agony? Is all of this not enough for you?
It is far better if we resolve this now, peacefully without the need for war. Elecya has been severely devastated, and there is no need to inflict further wounds," he replied, then turned to face the pirate captain with a confident expression. "We will give it to you."
"I'm sorry, but this Glory belongs to me. Do I agree to give it to them?"
My statement surprised the Prince, who now appeared angry. "What? What do you mean, Zent? We are all here fighting for Elecya!" he exclaimed.
"Like you said, we are fighting together, but why are you deciding everything on your own? Moreover, your subordinate, White Leaf, doesn't want to stop here. As a leader, shouldn't you listen to their heartfelt desires?"
The Prince clenched his fists tightly upon hearing that.
Varren's words were true, Your Highness. Even if they leave now, they can return, and not just with one Glory but two. You has witnessed firsthand what happened with just one Glory. I'm sure Prince doesn't want two Glories in their hands."
"They managed to infiltrate because of the help of that foreign man!" the Prince denied.
"You have survived until now thanks to the assistance of Zhao and Wei. Without them, are you confident that you could have withstood the pirate attack?"
Upon hearing this, the Prince fell silent, so I continued.
"It is far better for you to defeat them now. If they return to attack, at least you will have the conviction to defeat them once again. Besides strength, you need hope, something that can keep the fire burning in your hearts even when you are repeatedly brought down. As a leader, you should be aware of that."
"Well, I didn't expect you to have such a side, Zent. I'm proud of you," Z shouted with a grin, shaking his head in disbelief.
Be quiet, Z. We are in a dire situation now. If the Prince still disagrees, I don't know what else to do.
"What else? Of course, by setting an example for all of them, showing them what we usually do in situations like this."
You mean... Ohh!
Prince Alcya remained silent, pondering the best course of action in this situation. However, what Zent said was indeed true. It would be far better to defeat the pirates now than to wait for their return with additional reinforcements.
But suddenly, from the side, the pirate captain conjured more than ten cannons, hovering in the air and igniting on their own. His subordinates cheered, grinning widely at the captain's display of power.
As each cannon was fired, I stepped forward, forming a large mana shield. Each massive bullet fell onto the road, crushing it with their weight. The pirates grumbled in frustration, seeing the captain's power being contained, which gave me a brilliant idea, one that I was sure would leave them shocked to death.
If Glory allows us to do something like that, then I will do the same. Of course, using weapons from my previous world.
Behind me, I formed five artillery pieces with loaded ammunition ready to be fired. Every pair of eyes looked perplexed at the foreign objects, but I knew the power that would be unleashed in the next three seconds.
"Farewell... FIRE!"
