Shopping Trip

"Remember as much as possible and let's go!" yelled Jin. The group hurriedly absorbed the information in the hut and then darted into the rainforest. After about ten minutes of running, they felt they had put enough distance between them and the hut, so they stopped for a breather.

"I think we should research those symptoms, identify the diseases, and then find relevant materials in the rainforest," suggested Do-Yun.

Seong added, "That's a smart idea, but I noticed a part of the research is missing."

"Really? I didn't catch that," replied Do-Yun.

Seong explained, "All the symptoms given on the board were external symptoms. Shouldn't there be at least one internal symptom listed?"

"You might be right. I know a few diseases with only external symptoms. After I do my research, we can figure out if you are correct or not," Do-Yun said.

Seong agreed with a simple "Okay," even though he knew that diseases typically have a mix of exterior and internal symptoms, and it seemed unusual for a condition to exhibit only external symptoms without any internal ones.

"What should we do in the meantime? There are still two hours left," asked Dae.

Jin suggested, "I say we try to find another hut. Even if Seong is wrong, we have nothing else to go on. Let's divide ourselves into groups of two and start looking for a hut."

Ara and Yun-Hee both spoke simultaneously, expressing their interest in working with Seong. To avoid offending either one, Seong hesitated. However, Yun-Hee quickly made the decision for him, saying, "I'll work with Do-Yun."

So, the groups were Seong and Ara, Do-Yun and Yun-Hee, and Dae and Jin.

Seong and Ara decided to go in the opposite direction of the hut, assuming that other huts wouldn't be located nearby. After an hour of walking without any significant findings, Ara suggested a break.

"Hey, we should take a break. We've been walking for the past hour," she proposed.

"Sure, we can take a break," agreed Seong, who was also tired. They both sat down by a tree.

Ara initiated a conversation, "What classes do you have after this?"

"I've got social studies class and math, but they start at 4, so I've got a lot of time before them," Seong shared.

Ara responded, "Me too. I've got a social studies class at 4 today. Wait, you have social studies class at 4; who's your teacher?"

"Ha-rin. What a cranky teacher. She should learn to calm down once in a while," remarked Seong.

Ara, looking surprised, said, "We are in the same social studies class."

Seong, puzzled, asked, "How come I hadn't seen you in the first class?"

Ara explained, "I was sick on the first day, so I skipped the first class," and then added, "What are you doing after this?"

"I was thinking of shopping for clothes because most of them are worn out. If you want, you can come with us," Seong suggested.

Ara inquired, "Us? Is there another person?"

"Yes, my roommate I told you about yesterday. She actually proposed the idea to me," Seong explained.

Ara hesitated, saying, "I don't want to be a bother to both of you."

"You won't be a bother," assured Seong.

"If you say so, I will come then," Ara agreed.

"Good, we are going right after the assignment," Seong informed her.

"Okay, we should continue looking," Ara suggested.

"Okay," Seong agreed, and they spent the next half-hour searching. However, they couldn't find anything significant, so they started heading back.

When they had made it back, they found Yun-Hee and Do-Yun already there. "Did you find anything?" asked Yun-Hee.

Seong replied, "Nope, what about you?"

"We didn't find anything either," Yun-Hee said. All of them waited until Dae and Jin came back, which took about 10 minutes. "What took you so much time?" Yun-Hee asked.

"We started to head back a bit late," Jin explained.

Yun-Hee asked, "Did you find anything at least?"

"Sadly not, what about you?" Dae inquired.

Ara replied, "None of us either." Just then, group two came back. Looking at their faces, it was apparent that they had not got it right. With that in mind, everyone exited the section and started heading toward the bus stop. Seong and Ara waited a few minutes until Eun-Jeoung arrived.

"You actually waited?" Eun-Jeoung said sarcastically.

Seong said, "I said I would, and I even brought somebody. This is Ara, and Ara, this is Eun-Jeoung."

"Nice to meet you," Eun-Jeoung said.

Ara replied, "Nice to meet you too." It was as if two fierce competitors had met each other, but Seong was completely oblivious to this.

"Let's not waste time and get on the bus," Eun-Jeoung suggested. They all got on the bus, and half an hour later, they arrived back at the academy and started walking toward a shopping center.

While walking, Eun-Jeoung asked a question, "How did you both meet?"

"We met on the first day of the assignment," Ara said, and then added, "I heard that you and Seong were accidentally kept as roommates. Is that true?"

Eun-Jeoung replied, "Yes, it is." Then, both of them stopped talking. When they reached the shopping mall, Seong suggested, "How about we eat first, then shop?"

The trio indulged in a delightful meal at the kebab store, savouring the best kebabs Seong had ever tasted in his entire life. Once they finished, Seong excused himself, saying, "I'll go to the bathroom. Wait for me here."

"Okay," Ara and Eun-Jeoung said. While Seong was gone, Ara asked, "What do you think about Seong?"

"Why does it matter to you?" Eun-Jeoung replied rudely.

Ara said, "You know you're going to get yourself into problems if you keep acting like that in front of him."

"Oh yeah, how do you know I am acting?" Eun-Jeoung challenged.

Ara replied, "A cutesy girl."

"Think whatever you want." Before Eun-Jeoung could continue, Seong came back.

"Should we go shopping?" asked Seong.

"Yeah, we should," Eun-Jeoung replied, shifting her demeanor again.

They headed into a clothing store. Ara proposed an idea, "How about we play a game, and we all pick an outfit for each other."

"Sure, but I don't really have much fashion sense," said Seong.

Ara replied, "It will be fine." So, all of them went and picked two outfits. After 20 minutes, Seong asked, "Are you all done picking?"

"Yep," Eun-Jeoung said.

Ara replied, "Me too" and added, "Who wants to go first?"

"I will go first," Eun-Jeoung said, and both Seong and Ara handed her the clothes they had picked out. Eun-Jeoung came out wearing a light pink dress that was till the knee cap. It was simple, but she still looked gorgeous in it. "I picked this one out," Ara said.

She retreated into the changing room and emerged wearing a one-of-a-kind red and yellow dress. As she stepped out, the unique ensemble caught everyone's attention.

"Hey, doesn't that dress look really good?" a random person remarked. Another individual chimed in, saying, "I should get that; it looks really good."

"It seems you won this round, Seong," Ara said.

"A lucky round for me, I guess," Seong replied.

"I'll get changed. Until then, decide who's going next," Eun-Jeoung said.

Ara then suggested, "I'll go next if that's okay with you."

"Yeah, that's fine," Seong replied.

After Eun-Jeoung exited the dressing room, Ara went in and chose the same type of dress as Eun-Jeoung from before, but in a dark and light blue color scheme.

"It seems I've lost too. Where did you find this dress, Seong?" Eun-Jeoung asked. Seong answered, "I asked the lady at the front desk if she knew any good dresses for teenage girls, and she showed me these," nonchalantly, not realizing he indirectly cheated.

"You're a cheater, asking for help," Eun-Jeoung teased.

Seong replied, "You should be happy I cheated; otherwise, you wouldn't have seen these."

"But still, you cheated, so you don't win either round," Eun-Jeoung said.

Seong replied, "It's fine. I don't really care about this game."

Then Ara came out of the dressing room wearing a yellow dress with a floral pattern. "That dress looks really good," Seong complimented.

Ara then went inside, changed back into her old clothes, and it was Seong's turn to try on some outfits.
