Seong noticed that they didn't take the bus like the other students but instead opted for a car with the same RR logo as before. However, this car was considerably more modern. Its exterior exuded a futuristic design, and the interior featured a large screen and a comfortable couch. Seong took a seat at the end, with Amelie in the middle and Minjun on the other side.
Curious, Seong asked, “Don’t you need a driver?”
“Not for this car; it has an auto-drive feature,” Minjun replied while setting the destination on the screen.
The car began moving after Minjun pressed a button on the screen. After about 20 minutes, the car came to a halt at their destination. Minjun opened the door, and all of them exited, finding themselves in front of an apartment.
Seong, puzzled, asked, “Why are we at an apartment? Weren't we going to get some coffee?”
Amelie clarified, “We are going to get coffee, but it's going to be from my house.”
They stepped into a two-story apartment that felt surprisingly sparse, resembling an ordinary house with a couch, a TV, and simple carpeting. Making their way to the kitchen, they discovered a sleek professional coffee machine awaiting them.
“What would you like to drink? Minjun can make any type of coffee,” Amelie said.
Seong replied, “I'll have a cappuccino.”
Minjun expertly operated the coffee machine, and Amelie and Seong patiently waited. After a few minutes, Minjun handed them their coffee, and they all started sipping.
Seong took a thoughtful sip and praised, “This is truly the best cappuccino I've ever had. You've got a real talent for this.”
“Thank you, but I don’t think it's talent; it's more about practice,” said Minjun.
Seong inquired, “Is there any other reason you invited me here?”
Amelie responded, “What kind of person do you think I am to have an ulterior motive for bringing you here?”
Seong answered, “Exactly that person.”
“Okay, you're right. I wanted to warn you not to trust everyone. Like today, why did you follow Yun-Hee's plans, which put you in more danger than herself? In a theoretical sense, she used you, and if I wasn’t there, it could have been much worse,” Amelie said.
Seong responded, "I'll consider your advice, but just because her plan posed more risks for me doesn't automatically make her a bad person. She asked me, and if things escalated, I would have intervened," his voice carrying a hint of frustration.
“Ok, no need to get angry about it; it was just advice,” Amelie said.
The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.
Minjun added, “You should also be careful of people in our group. Just because they are in our group doesn’t mean all of them are good people. They will try to tear you down if they feel inferior to you. For now, they won’t harm you because Amelie is there, but after, you have to handle yourself.”
“I will, thank you for the advice,” Seong said.
Amelie asked, “What did he do that made you accept his advice?”
Minjun replied, “I didn’t disclose his friend's name in my advice, unlike you.”
“I was just trying to make him understand,” Amelie responded.
Seong said, “Amelie, I know you were just trying to help me; you don’t have to worry.”
“I am not worrying,” Amelie said.
Seong said, “I shall go if that's all.”
“Ok, Minjun, drop him,” Amelie said.
Seong replied, “That isn’t necessary. I can just take a bus or walk.”
"There's no bus here, and it's a 40-minute walk in ice-cold weather. So, are you still up for walking?"
Seong replied, “Amelie, please tell Minjun to drop me.”
All of them had a laugh, and then Minjun dropped Seong.
After Seong got out of the car, he said, “Thank you for the coffee and advice. Also, to Amelie, bye.”
“Bye, and thank you for making Amelie laugh; it has been a long time since she has,” Minjun said and left.
Seong wondered what he had meant by that and headed to his dorm to find Eun-Jeoung there. She asked, “Why are you so late today?”
“I just had some coffee with some friends,” Seong replied.
Eun-Jeoung said, “You seem to have made a lot of them.”
“It seems I have,” Seong replied.
Eun-Jeoung asked, “You want to eat in the cafeteria today? I don’t feel like cooking.” “Sure,” Seong said
Both of them ate at the cafeteria and then returned to the dorms and instantly went to sleep.
Seong woke up earlier out of excitement. He quickly got ready and woke up Eun-Jeoung, who was still asleep.
"It's 7:20, I was supposed to get on the bus right now. Well, I can't do anything now," Eun-Jeoung said.
After she got ready, both of them exited their dorm, got on the bus that went to the botanical garden and headed to their separate sections.
When he arrived, there were already seemingly ninety percent of the group there. Amelie approached and said, “Did you get home safe?”
“Yeah, didn’t Minjun tell you?” Seong asked.
Amelie replied, “Yeah, he did, but he could be lying, so I am making sure.”
Ara, who overheard this conversation, thought, 'He went to her house; I wonder what they did and who this Minjun might be. Maybe he's her butler or something like that.'
Seong approached Ara and greeted her, saying, "Hello Ara."
Ara was startled by the sudden greeting because she was deep in thought. "Ahh."
"Are you alright?" Seong asked.
Ara replied, “Yeah, I am. I was just deep in thought.”
"Oh, okay," Seong said.
Amelie asked, “What do we need to do today?”
“We just need 5 Bougainvillea and 2 Orchidaceae. We also need Strangler Fig, but we already have that from yesterday,” Seong said.
Amelie instructed, “Alright, everyone, listen up. Get going!” The group dispersed into the rainforest, including Seong, Amelie, and Ara. However, despite their efforts, they struggled to locate the required Bougainvillea and Orchidaceae within the allocated three hours.
Seong, feeling the pressure, couldn't help but exclaim, “How hard can it be to find two plants?”
Amelie, attempting to calm the situation, reassured him, “Why stress so much? The others have probably gathered them; let's trust in our teammates.”
Seong responded, “Fingers crossed.”
They proceeded to the scientist's location, and the scene was familiar from the previous days. Amelie instructed, “Please, everyone, place the plants on the floor just like before.” The group followed the instructions, creating a neat array of gathered materials.
Seong took charge, stepping forward to count the plants meticulously. After a moment, he confirmed, “We've got precisely the right amount. We're all set.”
Seong and Amelie approached the pharmaceutical scientist, who examined the gathered plants and provided them with the necessary injection. Immediately after, they proceeded to the robot and inserted the injection. The loading bar appeared and showed.
