Save Me From Her

Seong entered his dorm to see Eun-Jeoung standing in front of the window. She turned around, her tone angered, saying, "Let's meet in the garden. I wonder what happened, Seong?"

Seong was terrified for his life. He had never seen a girl with such a serious expression while her tone of voice was sarcastic. He quickly thought and said, "I couldn't find it in the garden with the number of people inside."

"Yes, that could have happened. But why didn't you wait for me after the assignment?" Eun-Jeoung said with a creepy smile on her face and her head tilted 45 degrees. Seong thought to himself, 'Are all girls this terrifying?' and replied, "I am sorry. I forgot to meet you after the assignment. I had plans with one of the members," not telling her that he asked her after he got off the bus.

Then her personality completely took a turn. "Who is it? Is it a girl? It probably is because you left me waiting for 40 minutes, but that's fine. How did the date go?" said Eun-Jeoung.

"We just ate, and that dumbass Sung bin tried to pick a fight with me, but other than that, nothing happened."

After hearing that, Eun-Jeoung said, "So it was a girl. That guy wouldn't try to pick a fight unless you were with a girl."

"Why would he pick a fight if I was with a girl?" Seong asked.

Eun-Jeoung explained, "Because I told him that you and I were dating."

"Oh, wait, what? You told him what!!" Seong exclaimed.

Eun-Jeong repeated, "I told him that we were dating."

"Why would you tell him that? He might try to kill me for you" Seong said.

Eun-Jeong replied, "Sung bin may be a hothead, but he isn't a dumbass. Why would I date someone who tries to break up my current relationship?"

Seong took a moment before he said anything and then asked, "Why did you say I am your boyfriend?"

"Because I couldn't think of any other boy at the moment when he asked me," Eun-Jeoung said with a cute face. She then added, "We cannot do anything now."

Then Seong said, "Yes, we can. Tomorrow you are going to tell him that it was a joke."

"I will but not tomorrow. We are in the same section for the next month. If I tell him it is a joke, he will keep pestering me until the end of the assignment, so I will tell him at the end of the assignment," replied Eun-Jeoung.

Seong said, "Okay, but he might pester you tomorrow because he saw me with a girl today."

"I knew my intuition is always right," she said and added, "What does she look like?"

Seong said, "Why are you so interested? Aren't you supposed to be my mad fake girlfriend?"

"Come on, don't be like that. Tell me; I might help you," Eun-Jeoung said.

Seong said, "No thanks. I'd rather not gain your help, plus it isn't like that."

"Of course, it isn't like that at the start; you're supposed to make it like that," said Eun-Jeoung.

Seong put an end to the conversation by saying, "I am too tired from all the hiking today. I'll talk to you tomorrow." Both Eun-Jeong and Seong ended the conversation and went to sleep.

The next day, the alarm was buzzing, and Seong took his phone into his hand, stopped the alarm, then got up to see Eun-Jeong waking up too. Seong said, "I am going to use the bathroom first."

"Yeah, that's fine," Eun-Jeoung said in a sleepy voice.

Seong got ready in 20 minutes and wore a light blue long-sleeved cotton t-shirt and brown shorts. Meanwhile, Eun-Jeoung got ready in 40 minutes, wearing a gray-sleeved t-shirt with a white hoodie over it, and then a puffer jacket on top of the hoodie, paired with denim jeans. Seong was quite surprised and commented, "Are you going to Antarctica?"

"Yes, I am. My section is an ice biome," Eun-Jeoung replied, then added, "What about you? Are you going in those childish clothes?"

Seong, offended, replied, "My section is a rainforest, and I thought to wear this so it would be easier to move."

"Yeah, you could wear something flexible with it looking nice," Eun-Jeoung suggested.

Seong said, "How about you try to make a good outfit with the clothes I have."

"Okay, I will," Eun-Jeoung agreed. She checked his closet, finding mostly old clothes. The only new pieces of clothing he had were in the wash. So, she picked out the best matching ones, a white t-shirt with black shorts, and gave him the flexibility he wanted.

Seong pointed out, "I am going to a rainforest biome where there is a lot of mud. Isn't a white t-shirt a bad idea?"

"Yeah, it is a bad idea, but unless someone puts mud on you or you trip, it isn't a bad idea," said Eun-Jeoung.

Seong agreed, "Okay, whatever you say."

"We should get going and after the assignment today, we're going shopping," Eun-Jeoung suggested.

Seong asked, "Aren't we not allowed to go outside the campus? How are we going shopping?"

"There's a shopping mall on campus, and everything there is free for students," Eun-Jeoung explained. "Didn't you read the email that the school sent you?"

Seong admitted, "I forgot to check my email. I will from now."

"You better," Eun-Jeoung said with a disappointed face.

Seong concluded, "Let's start heading out to the bus stop so we don't get late."

"Yeah, let's go," Eun-Jeoung said.

Both of them made it to the bus stop and got on the bus to the Botanical Garden.

"Okay, I am going to the section. Don't forget about the shopping, bye" Eun-Jeoung said.

Seong replied, "Yeah, I won't forget. Bye." Then Seong headed to his section to find the rest of Group 3 already there.

Seong said, "Hi, everyone."

All of them returned the greeting, and the second day of the assignment began.

They waited until all the rest of the Section 3 members had arrived and then formed their group, proceeding in their designated direction. As they walked past a river, Yun-Hee asked, "Seong and Ara, did you see anything on the robot that looked unusual?"

Seong provided a description, "The robot was silver-colored, with a human body configuration. Nothing out of the ordinary."

"Yeah, there was nothing special about it," confirmed Ara. Yun-Hee then explained, "I was just asking because I did a bit of research yesterday and wondered if it had any rashes or spots on it."

"Nope, it didn't," Ara responded. They continued walking until they spotted a hut.

"Hey, isn't that a hut over there?" Dae remarked.

Jin confirmed, "It is a hut."

"We should go and check it out; it might have some clues," suggested Yun-Hee.

The group started walking towards the hut.

The hut was surrounded by dense vegetation, almost as if nature itself was concealing it from plain view. The closer the group got to the hut, the more apparent it became that its appearance carried the weight of time. The structure seemed weathered and aged as if it had been standing there for a considerable amount of time.

They had finally reached the hut, and upon entering, a message popped up on everyone's phone in Section 3 indicating the hut's location.

"There must be a sensor in here," Do-Yun suggested.

Jin agreed, saying, "Yep."

"Let's quickly see what's in this place and get out of here before the rest of them do," Yun-Hee suggested.

The room contained a table covered with dust and a board that had notes on diseases, detailing their symptoms. However, a part of the information appeared to be missing.

Do-Yun observed, "Let's get the information and leave," but it seemed that the information on the board couldn't be removed.

"the information seems to be stuck on the board," said Dae.

Then Do-Yun explained, "We've got to remember as much as possible and leave, or our identity will be found out."

Ara questioned, "What will happen if they do?"

Seong answered, "If they find us here first, they will start to feel inferior to us and may withhold information they find, so we don't have a higher grade than them. It's better to remember as much as possible."

Just then, they started hearing people talking from outside the hut.
