Chapter 70 - Heavenly Law

Chapter 70 - Heavenly Law

It took another week for everything to settle in the Goblin Empire. Well, it couldn’t be called an Empire anymore. The Civil War caused countless issues, splitting the once great empire into many pieces.

Worst of all, Gobio was forced to pay the Thunder Sword Alliance a hefty sum for their aid.

All in all, it was a complete victory for Han Ling.

He sat on the peak of a mountain, pulling his stats up.

After breaking through level 90, Han Ling had reached the Swordman’s rank of Lord. It had became extremely difficult to level up after 90, he had to kill two Empire’s Kings to level up to 93.

He smiled helplessly, at the same time thinking back of when he was level 93 in his past life.

“A lot has changed… Back then I was just a representative of Japan… Now I’m the hero who gave the Alliance a complete victory.” After the Goblin civil war, Narukami announced those that have contributed much to the war.

Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings.

However, Han Ling asked to refrain from announcing his name, Narukami asked why but the young man stayed silent, a small smile on his face.

“A name is earned, not given.”

And sure enough, people talked of a young man with purple black wings controlling the skies and wiping out armies in an instant.

“Black Wing.”

The name he earned, wasn’t given, but earned.

“They sure can be creative…”

Han Ling chuckled to himself, till his smile disappeared. “Now I have to move to the next part of the plan.”

“In just at least a year, the Cultivation Realm will embed into the current realm, coming with it, the War of Sects… Because of that war, the demonic cultivators grew extremely quickly, dominating over the war and standing against us…”

“I’ll have to stop that, and to do that I have to cease the Sect War.”

But as far as Han Ling knew, nobody was capable of actually travelling between worlds, until he remembered his wings.

[Wormhole]

* After reaching a certain speed, a wormhole will appear with the Player’s location in mind.

“Hmm, it doesn’t say there’s any restriction…”

Han Ling decided to test it.

With a powerful gust, he disappeared into a purple crack, appearing on the other end of a place he had in mind.

“It works…” the place he had in mind was in world he once travelled to in his past life.

Using the same skill he returned to the mountain, his heart beating quickly as he thought of the possibilities of this strength.

“I can travel to all kinds of worlds to collect the strongest items… Knowledge really is power! Haha!”

This means its time for Han Ling to leave.

He quite literally left a note to Narukami and Aiko, saying he’ll disappear for an entire year.

Then proceeds to travel to the Cultivation Realm, where all the most powerful Cultivators of the Nine Worlds live…

>>>

Han Ling emerged from the wormhole, soaring in the sky as he gazed at the ground below.

Sure enough, it was the Great Tree Forest.

Then ‘it’ hit him.

The clouds darkened in an instant, gold rays of lightning boomed above the clouds and a voice boomed in his mind.

“OUTLANDER! WHAT BRINGS YOU TO THIS WORLD?”

Han Ling recognized that voice, “The Heavenly Law?”

“Oh you know of me?” Immediately, the voice in his mind softened, “Good, then you know what would happen if you dare invade this realm.”

Han Ling bowed his head, “I have no intention of invading, I only seek power.”

“Power? You are already chosen by the void, with unfathomable power, you have already slain 3 king rank monsters, which not many in this realm can achieve. What more power do you want?” The Heavenly Law listed his feats and Han Ling pondered for a while.

“For I believe this is just the beginning for me, I travel world to world in search of power, and I stumble upon this world, where there is no mana but there is qi.”

“You recognize qi?”

“I have heard of stories.”

The Heavenly Law was silent for a while, “Outlander, do you wish to master qi?”

“That was the point of arriving here.” Han Ling nodded, head still bowed.

“The process will be painful, I will have to create a Dan Tian for you as well keep your mana heart stable.”

“I have handled that kind of pain before, and I can do it again.”

The Heavenly Law glowed bright, before arcs of lightning slammed into Han Ling. His eyes widened and he unconsciously gasped, searing pain flowed all around his body. He could feel that familiar flow of qi entering his body, swirling around his gut, where his Dan Tian would be.

“GAH!”

A mouthful of blood coughed out his mouth, eyes turning a deep purple.

All of a sudden, purple specks of dust appeared, embedding itself into Han Ling.

“Void Specks! They’re changing him?” The Heavenly Law’s voice was the last thing Han Ling heard before blacking out.

>>>

“What is this? The heavens are angered?”

Cultivators all around the world saw the powerful storm in the Great Tree Forest, clouds swirling and swirling lightning slamming down into a person like a pillar of gold light.

“Who is that man to invoke the wrath of the heavens?” An old man muttered, a rogue cultivator.

“He must have done something terrible…” Another old man said, taking a great sip of his wine.

Then a boy shouted, “He has black wings!” The cultivators took a closer look, and saw the young man in the sky had jet black wings, pulsing a bright purple, not unlike the light of amethyst.

Suddenly, a bright flash.

The clouds parted, the wrath of the heavens disappearing in an instant.

Cultivators all around watched in shock as something had pushed the Heavenly Law back.

“Quick! Go find that man!”

The cultivators leapt into the air, leaping from tree to tree in their Featherweight Breathing.

“Find that man!”

“He must be an angel from the heavens!”
