Han Ling was lucky, the next room contained a swarm of ants, each almost level 70 with some of them at level 100. But…
“Who exactly is the boss?” Aiko crumbled under her breath, watching the teen soar in the air before throwing purple orbs into the swarm of ants, followed by a thunderclap and a burst of lightning that bounced from one ant to another. Even though she grumbled under her breath, Aiko couldn’t help but gape at the power Han Ling has.
“What a powerful AOE spell…”
Han Ling suddenly stopped in the air, raising Obsidian Hollow in the air, pointing straight at the sky. It was the perfect time to test out Han Ling’s new art.
Over the past few days before heading here, Han Ling had been brooding over his created element, trying to figure out how it exactly works.
He took one of the previous top players as a reference, in his past life, he sparred against the fifth rank player, Berserk King Throne and learned much from that one battle.
Throne was one of the first players to create their very own elements, shooting him up into the top ranks in an instant. The element ‘berserk’ works this way, his attacks shake the very particles around him, so fast that mana fluctuates around him. His element makes the mana ‘berserk’ creating tremendous power three or four times than normal.
Throne had mastered his element so well to the point he could force enemy elements to overload, even tempering his own to a perfect state of either attack or defence. Hence why he was known as the Berserk King.
Another example is Child of Death, his element wasn’t created but there’s some logic behind it that allows him to master it, Death Aura is basically a zombie mana wave, it corrupts normal mana and transforms into his Death Aura.
Han Ling spent an entire day testing, even accidentally blowing up a portion of a forest nearby, still he had an idea of how to control his element.
The clouds rumbled and an enormous pillar of lightning hit the sword, wrapping around it like tendrils of roots. The blade transformed, turning into a flaming purple sword, sparks of lightning licking at the edge of the flames.
“It worked…”

Han Ling looked at his sword in awe, the power emitting from the blade was tremendous, as if staring in the centre of a storm. “Wow…”
Then he looked down at the ants, back to his sword, then at the ants again.
“Hehe…”
Do ants shiver?
“One way to find out.”
Zoom!
Han Ling landed smack dab in the centre of the ants, his eyes glowing bright as the burning sword flickered.

[Void Spark Sword: 1st spark. Thundering Wrath.]
He held the sword with two hands as if it was a heavy blade, spinning on his heels in one fluid motion, the sword sliced through air.
And the thunder and flames followed.
BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM
A storm of flames washed the ants like a tide, burning them to ashes before they could even shriek. Han Ling watched in awe, his mana spreading out like the ripples on water. Everything in a 10 meter radius was burned to a crisp, only ashes floated in the air.
“T-This…” Aiko openly gaped at that ridiculous power, he killed dozens of level 70 monsters in a single strike! This is unprecedented!
Aiko gulped down dry saliva, “Just how strong is he?”
Han Ling had a mixed expression of happiness and annoyance on his face, “Its definitely powerful against groups, but the mana cost is high… I’ll have to find a way to make this more efficient.
“I’ll finished them all first.”
The sword burst into flames, “Void Spark Sword: 2nd Spark. Buzz Ripple.” His sword hand turned into a blur, creating a few afterimages around his torso before a satisfying shing sounded, the purples flames suddenly died out, like a cold wind blew by, snuffing the flame out.
But then the ants around him suddenly burst into flames, then the ones behind those ants burst into purple flames. In just a few seconds, every single ant exploded into flames with the sound of a thunderclap. Silence followed the staccato of thunderclaps.
“Tch… It really eats mana…” His new sword technique is an extremely powerful sword art, but it eats mana at an extremely high rate. “I’ll have to improve this when I get back…”
Obsidian Hollow burst into light particles and he sighed, slightly annoyed at the sight of a half empty mana bar. He turned to Aiko, head tilting slightly at her expression of shock, “What’s wrong?”
“Han Ling…”
“Hm?”
“Why do you gain power?”
“Eh?” Han Ling chuckled at that question, “The strong survives, the weak die. Knowing that, how could I not become strong?” Inwardly though, “The monsters of the future are stronger than you can even imagine, I’m the only person who knows the calamities, I can only protect humanity if I’m strong.”
“…” Aiko silently stared at Han Ling, sighing lightly before walking sitting down on the ground. “What are you doing?” “You’re out of mana right? From an attack so powerful, its understandable if you’re out of mana.” Han Ling just silently sat down, pondering on what expression Aiko would have if she found out he actually only used 25% of his mana on those two attacks…
They rested for only 15 minutes before moving to the next room, if Han Ling’s deductions were right, the Beast Lord Roogon and Goblin Zafar would be fighting Death Sword Alataus and Death Duke Iaren, it would be a tough fight for both sides but Han Ling would already be gone before they even realized someone is clearing the dungeon.
Luckily for Han Ling, the next floor is another swarm of ants, this time Han Ling saved his mana, using only [Ignite] and [Energy Barrage] with a few swings of his sword to clear the stronger enemies.
Soon enough, they reached the fifth room.
[You have entered the lair of the Void Wyvern, Kapul]
“Void Wyvern?”
Wyverns were the speed kings of the sky, in the air, they were unbeatable due to their immense speed. Even the dragons were unable to catch up.
“Luckily its in a cave…”
“Then again… A void creature?”
In all Han Ling’s time in this world, there has never been a single void being, the closest was the Night Spark Hawk since it absorbed a Void Speck.

“Wow… The quest wants me to subdue this beast…”
“What? Subdue it? You got a quest like that?” Han Ling accidentally spoke out loud and Aiko overheard, her body shaking slightly as she read words ‘Void Wyvern’.
“A-A Wyvern-n and one of the 11 Greats as well…” Aiko gulped down a mouthful of dry saliva, “Even for a dungeon, this is too much…”
“WHO DARES WAKE MY SLUMBER!”
A great voice boomed across the hall and from the sky, a giant winged beast crashed onto the ground. Han Ling struggled not to blink out of there, his hand trembling slightly at the monstrous power in front of him.
Great black wings with a wingspan twice the length of a football field, a head as large as a bus, great black horns protruding from his head with yellow beady eyes glared straight at Han Ling.
CRACK!
Kapul stomped on the ground, “So, a Void Prince? Interesting, do you plan to subdue me, little one?” Kapul’s slit-like pupils glowed red and Han Ling felt like the world was squashing down on him.
“Gah!” He gritted his teeth, struggling to even stand up straight. “Shit!”
[Wings of the Void]
FLAP!
The purplish-black wings sprouted from his back, immediately dispersing the pressure on top of him. “Oho! What magnificent wings! Wahaha!” the Wyvern threw his head back, a great booming laugh echoed the hall. “Now, why don’t you try and subdue me.” Kapul formed a human like grin and opened his maw, great purple torrents of flame rolling in his mouth.
“Aiko!”
Han Ling grabbed her hand just in time to feel the heat roll off his back. “T-That was close.” Han Ling blinked a few meters away from the fire breath but the ground where he was standing was charred black, the stone turning into ash before his eyes. “H-How do I even face such a monster…”
Aiko was extremely pale, her hands trembling terribly, “W-W-What do we do?” Han Ling bit his lip, “It’ll be difficult, but I have an idea.”
Han Ling leaned closer and whispered.
