Chapter 59 - Condensed Fury

Chapter 59 - Condensed Fury

“You…ha…fight well, Lord Zafar.” Death Duke Iaren’s chest rose and he let out a sigh of relief. “You are worthy of receiving the title of Lord.” Iaren stood tall but his shoulders were streaked with black blood, his helmet was slightly dented and his sword chipped with one arm broken.

Lord Zafar however, laid on the ground, his breathing ragged and raspy, his face a splotch of beaten pulp, his right arm was severed, green blood still oozing from the wound, his proudful great sword was snapped in half.

“The…King…will not…forgive you!”

“The Goblin King is nothing in the face of Death.” Iaren spoke coldly, slicing the goblin Lord’s head. “The Goblin Empire will become dust in a few days anyway.”

Iaren turned to the other side, unsurprised to find his master’s sword buried deep in the Beast Lord’s chest. “Ha…Ha…Ha…That was a fight…worthy of death!” Roogon was bloody, his fur matted bright red, his arms were severed and did not regenerate. Death Sword Alataus wasn’t looking too good as well, his face was scrunched in pain, he gripped his side, black blood oozed from the wound.

“This is your end Roogon.” Alataus grinned, and the Beast Lord noticed the Death Duke walking over, “Heh! There will be war! It’s a pity I won’t live to see it…”

SLICE!

Roogon’s head flew off into the distance.

“Now that the disturbance is gone, we have to move before the other empires arrive.”

“Yes, master.”

“His highness said the item in this dungeon would be the key to controlling the Monster Realm, we have to obtain it no matter what!”

“Of course, master.”

The pair silently leaped into the dungeon, breaking through the door and entering the same hall Han Ling and Aiko were in. Iaren scanned his surroundings, spreading his aura around to feel the area, “It’s strange. I don’t feel anything.”

“Wait.”

Alataus drew his sword, stabbing it in the ground before a little orb of mana sunk into the ground, pulsing throughout the dungeon. “I sense a monster.” Iaren spoke in a surprised tone, “Where?”

Alataus pointed up, Iaren looked to find a giant fist falling down on the pair.

The Berserk Gorilla Kong has respawned, he raised his fist to check the smashed enemies but found nothing under his fist. Instead, his fist didn’t rise when he lifted his arm.

GUWAHHHHH!!!

“What a loud monkey.” Alataus chuckled, slashing towards the ground, the blood on the blade splattering on the ground. “Iaren, kill it.” Kong noticed the ominous dark mana chilling his spine and he turned, just to see a black-armoured knight in a stance.

“Yes, master.” And he thrust his rapier forward, a powerful bullet of black mana firing right at the chest of the Gorilla.

Kong’s eye rolled back, his giant body falling back, landing on the ground with a loud thud. A hole was in his chest, the blood still gushing from the wound.

“Hmm, not bad, but a little bit more mana should do it.” Alataus stroked his chin, a small smile on his face. “Understood, master.”

“This dungeon is quite simple, its perfect for training.”

Little did he know, a purple light flashed in the final room, leaving nothing behind…

“Hu…hu…hu…” Han Ling gripped Aiko’s hand tightly, plopping on the ground with Aiko’s limp body next to him. After using a skill after a secret art, Aiko fainted immediately after she saw the mission complete, all energy sapped from her mind.

Han Ling himself already drained his last bit of mana to set a master-servant contract with Kapul, to allow him to heal inside his body.

“That was close.” Han Ling chuckled tiredly, he thought of the Heart of the Sacred and grinned. “That was just the second-best item, I’m glad I got the best one before Alataus and Iaren arrived.”

He pulled up the item on the interface and grinned.

“I wasn’t expecting such a high level, but I’ll take it.”

Han Ling gripped onto Aiko’s hand and thought of Storm Haven, but he opened his eyes and he was still inside the forest. “Huh? That’s strange, I thought I had enough mana to blink?”

A chill ran down his spine…

“This…”

Han Ling whipped around, Obsidian Hollow flew through the air, clashing against the tip of a spear. He grunted, shoving the spear away, the assailant leaping through the air and landing lightly on the ground. “Kekeke, I didn’t expect you to dodge that, interesting… kekeke!” A pale-skinned woman swung the spear, a dangerous smile on her face, and on her back were bat wings.

“You shouldn’t have killed Alvarez, little human. The Lord is quite mad that her son is dead, kekeke!” Han Ling’s eye’s hardened, “You’re Duchess Delia, the Blood Witch.” The smile on the woman’s face disappeared, “Oh? You know of me? It doesn’t matter, you’ll die now anyway.”

Han Ling felt another chill on his spine, and he activated Hollow Burst, hearing a grunt of annoyance behind him. He turned to find a slim, handsome, pale-skinned vampire, black bat wings on his back. “Demon Duke Drazen… The Bloody Fury…” “Hmph! For a human, you know a lot, but it won’t matter now that you’re against two dukes.”

A blood red sword appeared in Drazen’s hand, ominous red mana oozing out the blade. “Your head shall be a gift to the lord.”
