After clearing the wolf den, he obtained a Serene Silver Loot box, which caused him to frown. That NPC said the first piece of the Imperial set was in this dungeon… Was it fake? Han Ling scanned the room, combing through every little corner that he could. And he was rewarded with a stone that sat on a table.
Han Ling picked up to the stone and forced a bit of mana into it. Cracks formed on the rock and the calcite cover fell off, revealing a glowing black marble, with a god string strewn through a little hole at the top. The black marble was glowing darkness, it was a strange thing, like light around it was being absorbed by the black stone.

1st: ???. Killed 28 Ice Wolves. 12 Ice Goats.
2nd: Boulder. Killed the Ice Bear…
The parties all laughed weakly, even without killing the main mission objective, Blood Mask still gains the first place. No wonder the monster vanished after giving us orders.
Once everyone got out of the closing gate, they realized an entire team disappeared. When Kinuko asked Han Ling about the missing team he just shrugged saying they probably died trying to level up.
After the successful clear of the first B rank gate, the 5 guilds move to tackle the second B rank gate in Tokyo. However, Hunting Dog’s did not participate in the attack as they had lost their team in the Imperial B rank gate. Hunting Dog’s guild leader himself made the announcement, but Han Ling knew he was fuming.
The Hunting Dog’s guild leader, Hito Jamon was not a man to take an insult. Hito sent his members to kill and steal from Han Ling, but he sorely underestimated his power, causing him to lose his top combatants, putting at the lowest place in the 5 guilds.
Over the course of a week, Japan’s 16 top aces defeated B-rank after B-rank. Even the state of Nagoya, which was deemed a loss was taken back with Han Ling’s overpowered abilities.
In the third week after Sovereign’s Battleground, Japan became the first group in the world to clear a total of 7 B rank gates a week. It was an unprecedented record that even superpower countries like China and US could not achieve.
All cameras were then focused on Japan, on the 16 aces of Japan. The 4 players from each of the top 4 guilds became celebrities over the week, they became the first players to become Level 23 and were close to gaining their elements. But strangely, Han Ling was nowhere to be seen on the news or any announcements, as if he was a ghost story. After cleaning the dungeons of Japan, the 16 aces spread out to other countries to aid in dungeon clearing. Even China has asked for aid on a high levelled B rank dungeon.
Sakura Guards sent Atsushi, Kinuko, Shiki and Karin. But on the private plane, there was one additional passenger. Kinuko sat with her team and chatted happily, but they would sometimes glance at the man sitting in the corner of the room, checking a blue screen in front of him.
Han Ling smiled inwardly, the Dark Wrath set was perfect for the current him, with his monstrous health and speed, his attack finally arrived at a decent level along with his other states. He had never cared about his defence; offense is the best defence as they say. He checked his stats again.

Han Ling glanced at the group of 4, Kinuko read a book, Shiki was playing with his phone, Karin was asleep on Atsushi’s shoulder along with him. He smiled inwardly, what a great team…
Han Ling raised a hand and a purple hole appeared in the air, he reached in and pulled a rock the size of a tennis ball. Han Ling stared at it, the stone in his hand was a Sword’s Heart. An item that can increase the grade of a sword by one.
After a lengthy consideration, he decided to use the Sword’s Heart on Obsidian Hollow, the blood element on the Bloody Baron’s Blade, would be insignificant in the future, while his true element would only increase in strength.
Currently, Bloody Baron’s Blade was akin to an excellent weapon, but the Obsidian Hollow would be considered an OP weapon. With the sword’s heart, it would become a cheat weapon. Han Ling excitedly used the sword’s heart on Obsidian Hollow.
[Sword’s Heart has been used on Obsidian Hollow]

The sword was pure black, the handle didn’t change but the blade itself was carved with strange markings, lined all the from the handle all the way to the end of the blade. The colour was no longer just obsidian, it was pitch-black, similar to the handle but at the same time not. Think of it this way, it was like a black hole, sucking up all the light around it.
Han Ling admired the sword for a while before placing it back in the void. A sword mind would take a while to wake up, so it was not an issue for now.
But the excitement in his heart continued to burn, he was itching to try out his new sword. Since the trip took quite a while, Han Ling decided to open up all the loot boxes and check all the rewards he obtained.
After 30 minutes of opening and sorting things out, only a couple of items caught his eye. One was the three Rare elemental skill books which would be very useful, another was a piece of rare helmet that has thorns on it, reflecting a large amount of damage onto the attacker. A couple of rare and uncommon techniques or skills appeared, but none that Han Ling really needed, so he kept them to sell to the guilds.
But as he opened the last Serene Silver loot box, a golden glow illuminated his mask and his eyes widened.
[Active Skill: Holy Smite (Super Rare)]
Ability: Call forth a light sword from the heavens that strikes a 10 by 10 meter space, dealing 600% of player’s holy damage to enemies. CD 10 minutes. Mana Cost 100.
Han Ling gasped out loud, causing Kinuko to look up from her book, staring at the masked man with a look of confusion. He stared at the girl for a few seconds, and she turned away face flushed. He stared back at the skill book in his interface, blinking a couple of times and then pinching himself to see if he was dreaming.
What a terrifying skill! This was the same skill used by those of the Holy Empire! When NPCs come to the world, one of the strongest empires was the Holy Empire, controlled by an extremely powerful Pope. Han Ling remembered following him into battle, the man cast Holy smite on an undead dragon, destroying it in a single strike, the battle was a massacre, humans killed undead faster than culling chickens because of that man. And that skill was now in his hands…
He suddenly stood up and walked towards Kinuko, the girl staring at the approaching man with a flushed face. Then he asked an unexpected question, “What’s your Holy Damage stat at?” Kinuko tilted her head slightly before flicking her finger downwards, checking her interface before answering, “Its about 142 right now why do u ask?” “Put all your attribute points into Holy Damage.” Kinuko frowned slightly and was about to refute when Han Ling spoke, “Trust me.”
Kinuko tilted her head slightly but trusted the man who saved her life twice. She put all her stats into Holy damage, bringing it all the way up to 185. Once the holy glow disappeared from her body, Han Ling pulled the Holy Smite skill book out of the void space and gave it to Kinuko.
When Kinuko saw the skill, her face paled, pupils and hands shaking. Shiki noticed his sister’s reaction and came over, grabbing the skill book from Kinuko’s hand, but he too succumbed to the shock when he saw the skill.
When Kinuko tried giving the book back to Han Ling, the latter just raised both hands saying, “It’ll be much better in your hands, its for healing me when I was low.” With that comment, Kinuko could only stare at the man, and bowed deeply, thanking the man with all her heart. Han Ling smiled gently under the mask, petting the girl’s soft hair before sitting back in the corner.
Kinuko held her head, feeling the warmth of that hand on her head. Shiki blinked at his sister, watching her face slowly redden. Han Ling was completely oblivious to what Kinuko was feeling and used the other three elemental kill books, gaining two rare skills and one technique.
[Active Skill: Void Flux (Rare). Activates void energy outside the user’s body, able to move small objects with a thought. No CD. Mana Cost: 10 +1 per second.]
[Active Skill: Void Eye (Rare). Places a void eye on person the player chooses, it spies on that person for an unlimited amount of time. It is difficult to locate once placed except for the player. CD 1 hour. Mana Cost: 100]
[Technique: Less Consumptive Flow (Rare). Decreases mana cost by 5 for all skills, as well as increasing mana regen by 10%.]
All very decent abilities, the void eye would be very nice for scouting or spying. It didn’t take long for the plane to reach Bei Jing, and the five were greeted by one of the top guilds of China, Jade Dragon. A beautiful, pale, elegant woman stood at the entrance wearing a kimono embroidered with dragons.
“Greetings fellow players, my name is Xue Yu a level 22 Swordswoman from the guild Humble Sage, pleased to make your acquaintance.” Atsushi and the others bowed and gave their introductions, but when it came to Han Ling he was silent. As the silence drew on, Kinuko flushed before bowing, “I’m sorry but he doesn’t like to mention his name and level, please excuse him!” Xue Er smiled gently, “That’s fine, there are people who wish not to speak of their levels.”
Kinuko breathed a sigh of relieve and Xue Er then explained the situation, “The B-rank gates in China have been increasing, and even with our top combatants, we won’t be able to clear all of them in time before they break. And a B-rank outbreak would be terrible as all the gates are in busy districts of Bei Jing that must remain open.” Xue Er turned to the group, “Hence, I implore you to aid us in this issue.”
As the alliance was made, Sakura Guards as well as Han Ling entered the first B-rank gate in China…
