The wind whistled behind me as i came upon my target.
*BOOM!*
I came flying in through the clearing at maximum speed. I slam into the rank 5 Mirror shard monster that looked like a bear with jagged pieces of mirror protruding from its back. After some experience with those things i learned not to even touch them since they apparently are very very sharp and some even had a kind of poison on them. I found though the best way to kill them was to just hit it as hard as i can.
Me and the other me have been hunting for well over an hour now and have gathered almost all the ingredients for whatever the mirror bitch wants. It occurred to me that she might be bluffing about killing my friends but i’m not taking that chance. The two cats who have been watching us are able to keep speed with us just fine even though we have a speed stat of 300 not to mention sometimes outrunning us completely even with Speed boost LV6 Active. If whoever this bitch is has pets like them and doesn’t mind putting them on babysitting duty i hate to think what else she has.
Me and other me had made a routine, find the monster or place we needed materials from, if it's a monster kill it quick with a few blows and move on but it was an item kill everything surrounding it, gather it and move on.
With speed buffs and our natural speed, same stats and a little telepathy magic we have managed to clear off 36 of the total 40 items with varying degrees of difficulty. Item #22 was a 100L of rank 5 Mirror shard Blood. Honestly does this bitch think that Demonic animals of the 5th rank grow on trees. I got that question answered real quick as soon as we went deep enough into the forest the prey got harder and harder until it took us both to take down a single target, but we did take it down very quickly. Compared to the trouble i had killing the rank 6 Stone Skin Demonic boar killing more rank 6 monsters with another me was incredibly easy.
For example, we needed to collect 10 corpses of rank 6 monsters(which was a stupidly ridiculous request). We were going to use the Dragon armor but then i suggested we try double teaming it with beastly form and if it didn’t work we switch. The monster we had faced was a rank 6 Mirror Bones Tyrant Lich. We killed it easy and took the entire corpse, no use in wasting perfectly good loot right? When we started putting items into the storage it looks like we shared the same storage space and they weren't able to duplicate anything inside.
Every monster here seems to have mirror powers of some sort like creating a mirror image of themselves or reflecting magic and there might be even more if we took the time to properly explore this place.
The weird thing is this entire dungeon is feels...off. I seriously wonder where Silva grabbed this mirror from because everything here is just weird. The ambient magic power is 10 times what it was in the earth fae capital! Considering that High fae like a High Elf or a Dwarf Chieftain need high amounts of ambient magic power to live or their power shrinks but what i’m wondering is why we haven’t seen at least signs of anyone else here like an old campfire or ruined city. HIgh fae would be like moths to a flame when in this place even i’m taking in as much of the magic energy in here as possible and there's still more coming.
It seems like this place is some sort of artificial dungeon with its own Dragons vein. Mana comes surges up from the Aether, the magical ocean in which everything exists, and fills the earth with its energy in the form of magic power. This power is used by many plants and and animals to grow and improve their strength but the problem here is the dungeon is too small. Elaborating on that, a Dragons Vein is meant to supply mana to a massive area! To give that entire supply to a single dungeon is incredibly wasteful, like supercharging a golf cart instead of an expensive sports car. So in the end all the monsters here are all bark and no bite, but it is surprising that such good materials come with such easy prey.
This should be the reason why the monsters all here are high in magical energy but low in survival skills. The toughest monster me and other me(I need a new name for her!) have come across is a crocodile looking thing that had razor sharp pieces of mirror glass sticking out its back like spines. The thing was only good for attacking with its physical powers and nothing magical or even like the Stone skin Boar. Now maybe it's because i’m comparing them to a Mythical beast but still they should have at least one good skill to defend themselves. On the bright side it makes our job much easier since we only need a few kicks and punches to kill a rank 5 and a few minutes of battle with the two of us, not even a rank 6 can stop us.
Currently we are on making “Drive-Bys” on rank 5 Mirroring medusas to gather the the 37th item Eyes of Maddening Reflection. They don’t petrify me or other me but when i stared at them to long other me came over and put them in the storage space saying that i had been staring for a full 5 minutes. Something i have noticed about all the materials we have gathered so far is that most of them are part of a monster's body. There are a few that don’t make sense like Lifeforce drain water but most of the others are parts of a monster's body like skulls, hands, legs or full corpses.
“She's building something! Like freaky fantasy Frankenstein!” I told other me using telepathy. We had been using telepathy for our more private conversations with big brother following us.
“That may be but are you willing to step out of line while she has Silva and Hyuna. I want to fuck her over as much as you, believe me...or you? But we can’t alert her that we're on to her. After we find out what she’s up to then we see if we beat the stuffing out of her.” Other me replied.
“Well she sure ain’t making puppies and rainbows.”
I disconnect the line as i plow down another Medusa. After a few minutes of running around killing hundreds of these guys we collect enough Eyes of Maddening Reflections. I was busy pulling out the eye of one of the medusa i killed when the other me came up to me.
“Alright that's the last of them, next we just need the dungeon core, Necklace of Wonder and Insanity and...The Final Boss...ALIVE!!” she shouted looking back at the list.
I pull out my own list to find she was indeed correct.
#39 The Final Boss(Must still be captured alive)
OK now she was being unreasonable. The rank 5 and 6 monsters were easier to collect than i thought but seriously who captures a dungeon while taking the final boss ALIVE! The Final Boss is the final boss for a reason. The average monster in here had been rank 5 so what is the final boss like? Not only that but what kind of boss is it? There are several types of bosses ranging from Spawner class like spider queens who summon hordes of minions to fight to Brawl class bosses like the original Minotaur who uses brute strength to crush their foes. That's not even consider the exit gate. Some dungeons are set so that you cannot exit until the Final boss is dead or you need a key off the boss or even needing the final bosses magic core to use as a key to escape.
While all of this is swirling around in my head the snowdrop the cat comes up to me. I try and shoo away the cat but suddenly the voice of the mirror bitch comes out from it.
“Oh good work, good work. Now all that's left is the Final Boss-” she was interrupted.
“Hey bitch, how do you expect us to even try and take it alive! Considering the fact that most of the field and mini bosses where rank 6 the final boss is either a rank 6 who spawns more rank 6’s or a rank 7. WERE NOT MIRACLE WORKERS!” Other me screamed at the cat.
“Hey what are you even doing with all this stuff. What are you making that requires so many high level materials!” I demand.
“Now now, with a temper like that heads could roll.” She said sweetly and a mirror appears with an image of Silva.
The pendulum was lower again and but she was awake and had a gag on her. The pendulum blade was halfway to Silva from where it had started.
“Oh i estimate she has a little under an hour left till...well” She says and the mirror shatters into a thousand pieces.

“Then how the fuck are we supposed to get the dungeon core without killing the final boss. And what the hell is this Necklace of Wonder and Insanity!” i said gritting my teeth.
“Oh that? You should find that easily. As for the boss...well use your imagination I don’t think i need to remind you of what will happen to your little friend, and even if one dies i can always use your goddess. I’m curious what would happen should she take a dip in the magma and die? Would her soul return to the heaven? To the underworld? Or maybe she would just stay there in an eternal burning hell. Not ideal for a goddess of ice i think.” she said this with a smile on her face.
Me and Other me and emitting a huge amount of killing intent when a notification comes up. We both ignore it and continue to fantasize about this bitch and how she would look with her head rolling.
“Oh enough of your silly games. I can play staring contest as well if you want.” she said.
Suddenly we were both blasted by a wave of killing intent much stronger than our own sending shivers down our spine. Scenes of death and gore passed by our eyes and i felt a twinge of something else inside this massive wave.
Madness
Everything around us in this dungeon had a strange theme of insanity and mirrors. Twisted creations and horrible ends, no matter what this dungeon definitely held some dark secrets.
Just as quickly as the killing intent had come it left leaving a bitter after taste.
“Now hurry along you two and bring me my things. Or stay and watch an execution. I hear the bloody ones entertain the most! Choose.” she said still giving us that goddamn smile.
“Tch, not much of a choice. Fine, but at least point us in the right direction will ya!” Other me demanded.
“Certainly, just follow these compasses and it will take you to the take you to the place where you can find the Necklace of Wonder and Insanity and the Final Boss.” she said.
In our hands a regular compass with a lid appeared and popped open. The needle danced around for a moment before settling and pointing to a path that led deeper into the forest.
“Hey, where are we going?” i demanded.
But the cat did not answer signaling the end of the conversation and reverting back to a normal cat. Me and other men looked at each other and silently signaled for telepathy.
“Hey you felt it too?” Asked other me.
“Yeah, whoever she is she's strong. The dungeon is called Mirror Asylum of the Queen, but which queen? The earth fae are hundreds of thousands of years old and that tinge of madness? What was that?
“I don’t know. But for now let's concentrate on capturing the boss. Maybe we can find some clues along the way. Uuughhh maybe we can just grab the boss with a spatial storage vortex like a ███████ Trainer?”
“You know that our luck won’t allow that.”
“...Yeah. You know your life is depressing when your friends are being threatened by a murderous queen and you know for a fact that lady luck doesn’t like you. Fucking bitch!”
“Which one. Never mind, fuck both of them! Come on let's get moving.”
We disconnect and i open my menu to find the new skill that popped up during the mirror bitches visit.

After a few minutes of running we approach a castle like structure made of shiny chrome and glass. The building is reflective like a mirror but sturdy looking. It had a wall wrapping around the inner side of the mouth with soaring tall towers and the inner keep stationed in the middle of three great towers.what really sticks out is the red. Red roofs, red wall paint, even at this distance i can see stained glass the color of crimson. What is more disturbing is the moat is filled with...blood. Even at this distance i can smell it making me feel a bit nauseous urging me to cover my nose. Really i’m fine with gutting animals but there must be thousands of liters to fill a moat that size!
“Well...I wonder what sort of depraved soul lives here?” i say out loud.
“...yeah.” replies other me just taking in the surroundings.
The whole castle screams oppression, fear and vanity. This is the first manmade structure that we have come across and it is creepy! Seriously if you have to live in a place choose one that looks nice at least. Whoever built this thing was as vain a as peacock and as wicked as scorpion...and we have to go in there.
Looking at other me’s face i can tell she's also not too thrilled about this idea but we have no choice. So we walk up the the great red wrought iron gates, the metallic smell of blood like old pennies was overpowering making my head swim, and when we were about to open them they opened up for us and what greeted us was…
