Time for an info dump .OK guys i set out a Poll last time i posted a chapter and BOY did the results shock me. If you check it now you will find the results are near perfectly split down the middle as to whether or not i should make my backstories like this. Now normally you would go with the majority when conducting a poll but results are split for the first time, and then a guy in the comments(Can't remember your name just that you where rude) said something about flashbacks. Then i started playing Halo 3 ODST and well now i have an idea on what to do about backstories now. On the other hand i got a few PMs about the structure of the world so i just want to make this clear to prevent confusion.
Imagine a big blue ball that represents Ryalia. Now imagine another smaller ball that is colored red that represents the Fae dimension. The would normally never touch each other since they are on different planes of existence but are anchored together by fae magic. There is a black ball that anchored below to the big blue ball this is the hell dimension or where souls go to die. There are various different smaller balls of different colors anchored to the main ball Ryalia and around those are isolated golden balls tiny in comparison, these are the various realms of the gods and are independent of the main world. The empty space between the balls is a light blue color , this is the Aether AKA the magical sea in which everything floats. Worlds like where Fraxia came from are on land and do not have access to the magical sea.
In case you could follow that you might want to get a paper and a couple of crayons to try and draw it out while i try and get goddamn Photoshop to work. In the event that i do i will be making that maps of the continent and the surrounding worlds and various other things heck i might even make some portraits of elves and dwarves, although i assume you all know what a human looks like right? For those of you who want to know if fraxia will get her hand and leg regrown first off to you i say what would you think if you suddenly got your arm cut off and regrown, 2nd i would say wait and see and stop PMing me(I don't mind PMs i just dont like people with questions). And with that i wrap up this info dump.
EDIT: I changed the story summmary off of a PS fucking Vita which is insanely difficult to use to edit fictions as i can attest to, so please praise me.
Enjoy

The ‘metal’ that Durin had used to create his club he was going to call iron, but he didn’t know what to name the one that had refused to turn red yet.. He decided to name it after he conquered it.
The problem was he could not safely heat it because everything around him would turn to red and become hot liquid. He had found out that the metal sort of melted like snow or ice when heated to much and became a big puddle of hot liquid instead of retaining its original hardness. He found this liquid was easily shaped when poured into a bowl or something and allowed to cool, and he decided to investigate this more later. In the first place, he had tried moving outside and igniting his flames to turn the metal red but. As soon as the metal turned red he dropped and was very pleased that it had finally turned red until he looked around to find his surroundings on fire.
He quickly put out the fires and apologized to the queen for setting fire to one of her courtyards. He did not need to incur this lady’s wrath. On the bright side the metal had turned red but only for a second before he could drop it and start shaping it. He concluded that he needed a way to control the flames so they only heated the metal and not set fire to anything. He tried coming up with ways to control the spread of the heat from the flames when he spied one of the many small volcanos that dotted the underground landscape. He observed it after probing it to find the heat from the lava did not leak outside of the small mountain. He wanted to try dropping the metal into the volcano into the but realized he might not be able to retrieve it if he did.
He pondered this problem and thought to himself maybe he could create his own volcano he could use that and heat the metal. He went to the queen and asked for her assistance in creating a volcano after explaining what it would be used for. She told him he was foolish for trying to build his own volcano and that no matter the heat the ‘metal’ he had called it would not melt even with the heat of a volcano. The Devils had no name for all the rocks beneath the earth but this one was famous for getting in the way of tunneling and construction because of its hardness and inability to be destroyed. Not even the queen with all her might could destroy ‘metal’ easily and so places with the stone had been left untouched because no one had a way to remove them.
He was dejected at her refusal. He was sure that if he could contain and concentrate the heat inside such a thing that he would be able to melt it. As he always did whenever faced with trouble and aimlessly wandered the underworld searching for a solution. He came across a the soul of a woman being tortured in the flames of punishment. She however was not screaming like all the other imprisoned souls and just stood in the flames as if they were nothing but a warm breezes. He was curious about her and ordered a pair of imps to pull her from the flames so he could speak with her.
Reluctant to listen the imps challenged him on what grounds he had to take a prisoner of torture away from her punishment. He waved off the imp saying he was the queens guest and would ask that the two be punished for challenging them. They two imps quickly complied and apologized profusely for their transgressions but Durn ignored them.
When the woman was pulled out she immediately tried to run and was quickly recaptured. The imps wanted to throw her back in but durin still wanted to talk to her telling them he would take responsibility if she escaped. The woman could not remember her name because the souls of the dead are purged of their memories as soon as they are sentenced, but some memories remained such as a particular friend or the color of their shoes.
Out of curiosity he asked the listless soul why she would try to run. She had been been sentenced to the flames for eternity yet she still had such determination to leave this place.
“Even if i cannot remember who i was, i can remember that i must not give up. I will only succeed if i endure and never give up”
At this the woman suddenly started running again and made it far before the imp guards caught her again. She was dragged before the queen and sentenced to be once again have her memories purged in the River of Qualms even at the dwarfs request not too.
“I must make an example of what is to come of those who try to escape” she had claimed.
Along the way to the river she asked him why he bothered with her, and so he explained the circumstances around his life. As she was about to be thrown into the river she called out to him.
“Hey, i remembered my name” she said and shouted her name just as she hit the water and was swept away by the current.
He was confined to the metal chamber since he had been responsible for letting her escape and was to focus on finding a way to kill the dragon without any distractions. He continued looking for a way to melt down the metal that had refused when he realized that he might not need a full sized volcano. He began small using clay and bits of iron that he had shaped into rough cubes. He created a cave like structure and placed his fire and metal inside only to find the structure to collapse, but like the woman had he did not give up. After a year of trial and error he had made many advancements and created a massive structure that he told the queen could melt the unyielding metal.
He called the structure ‘The Great Furnace’. Unlike his first attempt he had created the one to have walls thicker than the length a man's arm and great blocks of a fire resistant stone used to line the great fire torture pits called Hell crust. The furnace itself was huge almost 20 meters in circumference and 10 meters tall. He could open a door and place inside whatever materials he . needed to melt and heat the furnace using flames supplied by his magic.
Inside he placed a large quantity of the rocks the Devils had claimed were indestructible. The queen and many of her retainers and advisors were present and waiting to see his results. Many Devils present were making bets on how the queen would punish him for wasting his and her time with this ridiculous claim.

He started the furnace and supplied his magic to 13000ºF when the metal started turning red. He quickly took it out and set it upon another one of his inventions. It was an iron block and a great hammer that he used instead of throwing the metal on the ground to shape it. He found that this method produced a much flatter surface with more control over what could turn flat and what he could bend. And so with this device that would be later named the anvil, forever would this be called the birth of blacksmithing.
He started pounding the metal and molding it to shape. Over the past year he had remembered the stone spears and blades that the hunters and warriors had sometimes used to hunt and protect the villages and small towns where he came from. They were crude and heavy things so most people prefered a mage to use basic magic magic to defend smaller settlements and spearmen and bowmen for larger towns.
The queen, who was startled that he was even able to change the shape of the metal, was now very interested in what the tiny person was making. The Devils who were betting against Durin were shocked that how easily he was able to manipulate it like a baker with dough and Durin wasn't done yet. He crafted the metal into a long metal stick with a flat edge.
He took one of the spears that were commonly used in the underworld made of Corrupt Ent wood and Hell Obsidian. This spear, which could easily pierce through the standard leather or wooden armor of the time period was stabbed at the flat of the sword and broke the spear. He next took out a set of enchanted leather armor made from Demon serpent scales and stabbed and broke that armor too. Everyone trembled slightly, to break enchanted armor was not an easy thing and more so he had done it in one stroke. The Devils were especially interested in the fact that that metal stick of his had taken a mere few minutes to create. The Devils had all kinds of thoughts of what they could do with such weapons, none in any way good.
“I call this the sword. While it has less reach than a spear it has a longer blade and is more durable than a spear. Your highness i’m sure if you armed a legion of Demons with these weapons then that dragon would certainly die.”
The queen debated the issue in her head. If such a weapon existed that even she could not destroy then there was certainly a danger in creating more. On the other hand if she were to invade the upper world she needed that dragon gone. While the queen debated this in her head the Devils were questioning Durin.
“How many of these ‘swords’ can you produce a day”
“How much want the blueprints to that great oven”
“These ‘swords will revolutionize warfare”
“What magic is this!”
“Can you make them bigger?”
Previously the Fae had used blades of water and fire in warfare, and Durin had observed them while in the company of his half sister and used that to inspire the invention of the sword. The blade in question was a one handed short sword that Durin could swing easily while a regular man might find it a little short.
The queen saw how her subordinates were going after the designs to the swords. She already knew that many of them coveted her crown and with these new weapons they would be able to take it by force. Of course there was some charm to her being in complete control of an army unmatched in firepower.
“Besides swords i can also use the same material to create armor, and arrow heads. The only thing left to do is to test if they can piece the dragon's scales.”
The queen was immediately ordered Durin to create enough swords and arrows to arm a squad of Imps.
“What do you call this material. It is unlike any stone i have ever seen.” asked one of the Devil advisers.
“Adamantium” he said naming it after the woman who wouldn't let her spirit be broken.
Over the course of several weeks Durin was given the resources to start mining more adamantium ore and processing it into swords, arrowheads and armor to fight the dragon. The other devils hid the fact that the armor and weapons that he was making had started a cold war within the Courts of hell from him and continued to supply workforce to work the mines. The Devils all wanted the superior weaponry to bolster their forces, even the queen needed to order specially made armor from Durin to prevent assassination attempts.
When the time came to subjugate the dragon guarding the entrance to hell, Durin was present on the front lines. She had given control of the entire unit to Durin not trusting her aids not to use them against her. Durin led the Imps through the door and into the caves beyond.
Durin sent scouts to find out if the dragon was home or not while they set traps and prepared for battle. The scouts came back reporting that the dragon was asleep and no one else in sight. Taking advantage of this the Imps and Durin killed the dragon before it could wake. The swords that Durin had built broke through the dragon's scales and bisected its brain and heart killing it instantly.
Durin bringing home the head of the great dragon was ambushed by Devils and their troops who opened up vents of toxic volcanic gas and poisoned the Imp who killed the dragon, but durin had escaped.
After the Imps died led by a lesser Devil was a Succubus who took possession of the adamantine armor and weapons. Durin was captured by her and taking the weapons he had created, the succubus killed the other Devils and pulled the queen, despite having made precautions, down from her throne and took her head as a prize. In the ensuing chaos Durin had slipped from his cell unnoticed and left the underworld after activating a backup plan that he had devised. Unknown to him the Succubus who had taken his arms would later go on to do great things but that was a tale for another day.
He had seen how the Devils had all coveted his weapons and knew that he would be taken prisoner, his weapons were too great and no one would in their right mind let the goose that lay the golden egg go free so created a fail safe in all of his creations. His sister had taught him not only how to use magic but also how to use magic symbols and with his fire magic he had inscribed upon his tools and creations a mark that when fed magic would explode and destroy his workshop. The Adamantium weapons and armors that he made could not be destroyed by this so he inscribed a different mark upon them that would suck them into the Fae dimension to the dwelling of his half honoring his promise to his sister.
Durn went back to his foster mother's grave and gave proper burial rites and prayers. He went home to his sister and apologized for not being there when he was needed and being caught up in his grief. She forgave him and he opened shop to promote his newfound creations. Durin created a great empire that boasted unmatched prowess in battle and promoting the spread of blacksmithing.
Durin made many more great discoveries such as quenching and tempering techniques and taught his children how to work a forge and use a hammer and anvil. Every few years Durin would go back to the cave where the gate to the underworld stood. When he had escaped he used adamantium and placed great bars over the entrance to prevent anyone no matter Devil nor Human from entering or exiting the Underworld. He would check to make sure the gates had held and the bars stood strong and would later pass this duty onto his children and them onto theirs.
As Durin lay on his deathbed he regretted many things but was glad he had avenged his village and he believed he had made his foster mother proud, but just as he breathed his last something happened. He was recognized by the heavens as an existence that was worshipped and had brought prosperity to many and had achieved much. Thus the dwarf who was thrown away as a child and had spent years in the world of the dead was made to be the Patron god of Smiths, Keeper of the Flame that creates.
