A world, much like any other. Where humanity had the potential to become anything they wanted to be, but they chose to not expand their technology and to live beside nature. That wasn’t to say that humanity didn’t have swords or castles. The world was in harmony with one another, and although mankind was at the top of the food chain, they never chose to over butcher animals for food.
Commoners would wake up daily with the rising sun, turning the cold darkness in a warm refreshing tingle. Nobles and Kings would wake up with a massage and look over their beautiful land and smirk. Neither existed without the other, and both knew of their relationship for one another. Commoners provided the kingdom resources while the kings and nobles brought them security and peace.
In other areas tyrannical kings would exist, but because the commoners would strive for a peaceful and happy life they would soon migrate or rise up against their kings, forming another kingdom or joining a previous one.
The biggest difference in people, were those who lived isolated from the world. Monks or warriors would sleep in the wilderness and befriend the animals. Monks would meditate striving for the most calm of minds. Warriors would relentlessly practice with their weapons. Each and every movement would be concise and perfect.
However, whether commoner, king, monk or warrior or any other lifestyle, there was definitely one custom they all shared. Every person prayed to the gods for good fortune or protection. As the sun set, every person would kneel and bow to the setting sun in hopes of its return. Although the sun would return without fail, only with some luck would their other wishes be fulfilled. While the ones who were lucky thought the gods were merciful, it was by no means the gods intentions. Even with millions of people praying they hadn’t even noticed the presence of this insignificant planet.

That was until one god, felt a pulse. A pulse that carried a feeling of longing for this god. The moment he felt it, he couldn’t concentrate on anything else, and for years it bothered this god. It was only until the god had nearly become insane for this feeling that he finally fled from his responsibilities to arrive at this planet. When he arrived, that was when everything changed for planet.
Though the god didn’t meddle with anything on the planet, the rest of the gods took notice of this particular god’s location. Although they couldn’t understand why the god had run to such a small planet off on the edges of the universe, a group of them still followed. At the moment of their arrival, was the day the planet was reborn.
This is the tale of an ember. An ember that grew with the passing of time. The hardships it overcame. The relationships it created. All of which birthed a flame. A flame that would bring forth change to everything.
