Chapter 28

Don't mind me procrastinating studying.

---------------------

-A few days later

“I still haven’t found this Pavilion and Lady Osena said it would open up tomorrow.”

Owen was currently walking through a forest area, the trees were thing and he could easily put his arms around them.  They were tall and white, but the bark was incredibly thin, and peeled easily.  In fact it was noticed that many of the trees at head level had been ripped off as food for many of the herbivores around the area.  The shrubs and were low to the ground and spread out allowed for trails to be easily formed.

At this point in time Owen had his eyes sealed shut.  He could open them if he absolutely needed to be able to see.  However he was time and time again reminded that if he opened his eyes before he could control the Essence of the Solar Eyes at the very least he would lose all the Essence he gathered for the stage.  He was only a Low Opal stage at the moment, which made it even more dangerous and the chances of dying if he opened them was easily over ninety percent.

Owen felt there was still many things that his Master could teach him but apparently, all disciples of Gods had to depart from their Master’s teachings before the Pavilions opened.  It was an attempt to make it as fair as possible for all the other PAthwalkers, even if it wasn’t truly fair, it was better than allowing them to get continuously taught by these extremely powerful existences.

If one wanted to to walk the Path, one had to at the very least use their own strength.  Their masters could only help them build their foundation.  Owen remembered this clearly because he realized there were many other disciples that were taught by other gods as well.

But now that Owen had left he had no idea where to go, and he could only keep walking.  There was nothing to worry about being attacked by anymore Devourers because they had already been collected and sent into the Boundaries.  In fact it was a miracle in itself that Owen had encountered the cougar, as nearly all of the Devourers had already been taken.  This was partially to prevent Pathwalkers from getting a head start from others.  Luckily Owen had managed to grab one and create an incredibly strong foundation.  Even though it was elastic, Kovinth had told him that he just needed to create more blocks like this for his Path and he would never have to worry about soul attacks.  Owen didn’t know anything so he agreed.

At this moment while Owen was thinking about what he had learned he heard a shout.

“Get away!”

A high pitch squeal was heard.  It felt girlish but held a hint of a boyish tone to it.  It was like a young boy who had yet to mature was screaming at the top of his lungs.  Because little boys would end up becoming high pitched when screaming they avoided doing so.  After all little boys wanted to look manly even if they were puny.  But Owen’s hearing was incredible and he could hear the slight changes and determine the sex instantly.  Even before he determined the sex of the party Owen was rushing towards the source of the sound.  Running past the branches of the trees barely moving his body in order to miss them by a hair.  At this point in time Owen had already practiced the Blind Motion technique to the bare minimum.  This allowed him to see Essence!

Owen was simply amazed by the fact that Essence existed in everything. There was a total of three colours that he could see, and after having gained his vision for a short period of time he was able to identify them as Green for Land, Red for the Sky, and Blue for Ocean.  Owen’s vision had truly become unique to the world.  The Land was green in front of him, although the plants were green not everything was green, but for Owen it was.  As opposed to the streams, and rivers they were a dark navy blue that was incredibly clear and sharp.  But the most strange thing was that the Sky was filled entirely red.  There was only one thing Owen wasn’t able to look at and that was the sun.  When Owen went to look at the sun the amount of Red Essence coming off it was so incredible he felt dizzy, and he promised himself never to look again.

Maybe it was because he hadn’t practiced the Blind Motion technique enough, but he was only able to see the contours of the objects.  But even this was enough to judge where he was at any given moment.  Adding on top of the bells it was like he was able to perfectly see in a 360 degree angle.  Nothing could escape his notice as long as he could hear it or if he was facing it.

Dodging all the green branches he passed by he finally managed to arrive at the location.  There he saw two images. Both of which were different from the colour he normally saw as he walked by.  But he already knew that Pathwalkers would look different because they were not pure after all.  He was the same when he looked at his own body he could see the impure strands of multiple mixed colours flowing through his body.  This one shorter looking boy was like him and had different colours flowing through his body.  On the other hand was another person.

This person was something he had never seen before so he was momentarily startled and looked on calmly identifying the black coloured human in front of him.  The boy seeing that someone had come to his rescue, but then stood there looking as if he had no intention to help he couldn’t help but scream out loudly to Owen.

“Are you just going to stand there while I die?  What you haven’t seen a Feral before?  Help me!”

Owen recalled the word "Feral", from Alesia.  His Master never touched upon the Sins very much because there was simply not enough time.  Thus his Master only taught things that only he could teach him.  But sure enough on the human was a black tattoo like insignia.  It was a tattoo of a bear.  This was the symbol of Wrath, hatred and anger.  And because this man had Sinned he had turned into a Feral.
