In case anyone was wondering where the hell I come up with these names. I take no credit as fantasynamegenerator did all the work xD You might ask why I used it? Simple writing a eastern/western combined fantasy that takes place in a medieval setting requires foreign like names to stay immersed into the story. For example:
Bryan was cultivating as the foreign energy entered his meridians and caused a slight ectasy to run through his body.
To me this completely breaks my immersion into the story. It might not be the case for everyone but for me its awkward to use modern names (at least english/engrish names in a story with already its own set of foreign words AKA meridians, chi/qi and so on. As we go on in the story you'll see the combination of people calling it chi/qi and calling it Essence. There will also be the explanation of meridians in this planet but for our MC Owen he will be told a more advance explanation (you'll find out later).
As such I hope you guys are enjoying the series so far. Yes it is slow paced, but I don't want to have him get a huge power up and be OP I want him to work for it. Just like EVERYONE else will have too. There will be ways to become stronger faster but requires more risk. Hence this relates directly to people's personality. No one can hide behind their clan. Although clans can group and become stronger together they can not force only one person to become stronger by themselves. This will all be explained in time. But just for those who are curious on the way I'm handling it. Imagine Soul Continent AKA Doulou Dalu where people have to kill their own spirit beasts for rings.
I rambled for a bit but I hope that kinda gives you guys an idea where this story is going. I can't be perfect however I will always try my best. Until next time~

The sun-dragon’s rough face gave a slight smirk. If Owen could see him right now he would be surprised to see that he was incredibly anxious and happy. He was shivering from just the thought of finally having a disciple. Luckily for the sun-dragon his excitement remained a secret to Owen. It was at this moment that Owen started to remember all that happen and naturally he started to feel the pain after finally waking up. Noticing the twitch of pain in Owen’s face the dragon spoke up.
“Hurts doesn’t it?”
“A lot.”
Owen replied bluntly. He didn’t put on airs, he wasn’t someone who couldn’t admit that he was in pain. But at the same time, he realized it only hurt. It wasn’t a pain he couldn’t handle unlike what he felt previous. As he thought something was strange he started to pat down his body. Immediately finding out that all the bones in his body were no longer broken. The punctured skin was left with only small scabs that would more than likely heal in a few days. Owen was surprised, but he didn’t show it on his face and couldn’t help but look back to the man seriously. He knew at this moment the man’s words of him becoming his disciple were true. He didn’t know who he truly was, but at this moment he knew that this was the person he was looking for. At that moment he used all his strength to lift his body refusing to allow the man to set him back down and he bowed.
“Please take me as your disciple.”
The man smiled and turned around to walk away, naturally Owen heard this but he didn’t lift his head and continued to bow in respect. Just before the man left he softly spoke out.
“Training starts tomorrow. You’ll be healed by then.”
“Yes master!”
For the both of them they felt satisfaction. One because he would step on the Path. While the other finally met someone who he could call a disciple. With that Owen relaxed all his tense muscles allowing himself to fall into a deep slumber.

The next day, Owen’s master had already brought a plate of food as soon as he woke up. Surprisingly it was the meat of the evolved bear that died from the fall. Owen could only tell because of the lingering scent he previously remembered. The one thing Owen was proud of most was how well trained his other senses were. He would dare to even say he had a nose that could be compared to a dog. Although this was an hyperbole, he still like the comparison. Because it was one of the things he took pride in.

As the black robed man put down the plate and gave him the necessary fork and and knife to eat with he sat down and started to speak while Owen was eating.
“First, of all let me introduce myself. I am Kovinth, the Sun-Dragon.”
The moment Owen heard the words dragon, as he was putting a piece of meat in his move he unconsciously dropped the fork.
‘What?’
Is what Owen wanted to say, but he felt it would be disrespectful. In fact he was already slightly embarrassed that he dropped the fork with meat on it.. But nonetheless he slowly patted the bed to find the fork. As he did he pretended nothing happened and put the piece of meat in his mouth. It might have been dirty but it was his fault originally, and if he made a fuss out of it he would only show that he was momentarily stunned by Kovinth’s words. He refused to let such a situation happen and continued to eat.
Seeing all of this, Kovinth tried his absolute best to hold in his laughter. He didn’t expect such an interesting outcome. Sure he wouldn’t have been surprised if Owen screamed and jumped up. He also wouldn’t be surprised if he just stood there dumbfounded. But against all his expectations, Owen acted as if his previous actions never occurred. How could he handle such a funny reaction? Finally after chewing exactly 20 times and swallowing lightly, Owen turned to face Kovinth and bowed again.
“I am Owen. I greet master.”
“Now, you might be wondering why things have happened this way. But let’s just say I need you. Just as you need me. We will form a bond of teacher and student. I will not protect you, but I will teach you all I know. You will rely on me, but you will take advantage of me. From this day forth, we will be as father and son, I will show you the path amongst millions. You will walk in my footsteps before finally choosing your own. If you accept open your eyes.”
Kovinth spoke his words slowly and with deep meaning behind each and every individual word. His pronunciation was awkward but Owen could feel the overflowing emotion. He never knew what it was like to have a master. Although at the temple there was teachers. That was all they were. Owen also didn’t know what it was like to have a father, and although Owen was hesitant at the words of father, he didn’t feel it was a bad thing. Owen could only feel truthful words from Kovinth’s pitch. And because Owen could feel that coming here was the right decision he didn’t hesitate in accepting and slowly proved that he accepted by opening his eyes.
‘Good. This boy, thought about the truth behind my words. His heartbeat was calm through the entire thing. I waited. I waited so long for you and even as a god my heartbeat isn’t calm. But you Owen were meant to walk this path. I look forward to this.’
Kovinth thought to himself as he examined Owen’s reaction. Naturally this was all done at the moment and as soon as Owen accept by opening his eyes that were filled with colourless grey. With no life in them as if waiting for something to happen. At this moment Kovinth started to move his arms. It wasn’t fast at first, it looked so slow that even a snail could move faster, but suddenly after images started to appear. It looked like his hands were solar flares and his body was a raging star. At this moment all the Essence started to gather around in front of Owen’s eyes.
It didn’t have a particular form, and was changing constantly. At this moment Owen wasn’t sure what was going on, but he could feel on his face that something was there. It was warmth that felt it was holding him tightly, but it was a nice feeling. But then, as all the Essence was gathered it started to approach Owen’s Irises. Kovinth patiently watching as he stopped moving, grabbed onto Owen. At the sudden action Owen wanted to free himself on instinct but knowing that his master was not trying to harm him he relaxed and quickly asked. After all he knew that by grabbing onto him, the next moment was not going to be easy.
“Is this going to hurt?”
“....It’s going to hurt… a little bit.”
Kovinth replied softly, clearly he was lying but Owen didn’t mind such a small lie. He gave a wry smile as he prepared to take on the pain.
