Tracy would put down her diary as she slowly looked up as the four teenagers (plus Aaron, Tracy’s little brother) headed down the road in a small Prius.
“Are we almost there??” Aaron whined.
“No,” Grant responded with an annoyed sigh, “Not since the last time you asked me.”
“Chill, Grant, he’s only nine.” Tracy was quick to defend her little brother.
Matthew just sighed, and spun his pencil between his fingers, continuing to stare out the window.
“Why’d you need us to come out here, anyway…?” Tracy asked.
“Well, duh,” Grant chuckled, “Max told me at school that there was an abandoned building down here.”
“Max Trent…. You mean the big, buff guy?” Tracy didn’t trust what Max had to say. It usually ended in them getting in trouble.
Grant simply nodded , “He told me there could be valuables down there.”
Matthew looked up. “Look, knowing that liar, it's probably just an empty place with nothing but rats.”
Aaron whined, “Tracy, why’d you make me come, then?”
“Because, Mom said I had to watch you.”
“Hmph…” Aaron did a classic nine-year old style pout.
As they drove further down the dark Hurricane road, Matthew had another question, “Wait, why does he even care about some old, abandoned building anyway?”
“Because he got all interested in the burning of that one horror attraction related to it a few years ago.” Tracy already knew the answer. She knew Max was interested in Freddy's locations, so it made sense.
Matthew went pale. “Wait… this is an old Freddy’s location? Look, the last time I heard of one of those, it was my dad talking about a group of kids who were… Well, nevermind. Kid in the car, after all.” Matthew nervously adjusted his black choker, looking out the window.
“What’s a ‘Freddy’s’? I wanna know.” Aaron asked.

If Tracy was being honest, she didn’t know too much about the location herself, she wasn’t one for the paranormal.. She turned to Matthew and Grant, hoping they had some answers.
Matthew shrugged, and looked at Grant, then they looked at Gary, who was sleeping. Matthew and Grant then gave up looking for answers, and Matthew continued to look out the window.
Tracy just looked out the window as they drove, then looked at her phone… 11:35 PM. She wasn’t sure why they’d been driving so long, it had been around 9 o’ clock when they left. Eventually, Matthew looked out the window, and gasped.
“Hey, I think that's it!” He chirped, his amber eyes glowing in wonder.
Sure enough, when they looked out the window, they saw the building, stripped of a sign and any new paint, with signs of the old paint peeling. The only sign of the place even being a Freddy’s was a small billboard. Aaron looked out the window as if he saw magic.
Gary was still asleep.
Matthew elbowed Gary to wake him up, who woke up with a snort, “Agh…. what the fuck, man?” Gary turned to Matthew, tired and angry.
Matthew chuckled, and pointed to the barren building, “We’re here, silly!”
Gary would stretch and exit the car, only to be nearly tackled by an excited Aaron, as he looked at the building in wonder. Tracy giggled as she exited the car, and Matthew hopped out of the car, dusting his black leggings off, staring at the blank walls and clouded windows.
“This place looks so cool!” Aaron said, his eyes beaming with excitement as he looked around.
“Dad said it used to be a lot better when it was open.” Matthew responded, stretching slightly.
Tracy looked at Grant and frowned, “Wouldn’t the pizza place be locked…?”
Matthew walked forwards, and bent over slightly, looking at the broken window leading in from the main doorway.
“I don’t think it matters if it's locked, the windows have been busted open for us anyways.”
Tracy sighed, “Alright then… Let’s only go in for a little bit though, we need to get home so I can put Aaron to bed.”
“I’m not a baby!” Aaron whined.
“Just stick close, never know what's in there.” Matthew said as he stepped over the shattered glass, and fished a flashlight out of his hoodie pocket, and clicked it on. He turned around, and beckoned the rest to enter, who obliged and followed.
Aaron kicked up dust and sneezed. Tracy stared at him, then back at the pizzeria’s interior.
Tracy was surprised. It wasn’t empty like she expected. Nearly everything was still there, even down to the robots… or what was left of them.
A bear sat quietly in a corner, and what appeared to be a bunny was face down on the floor just in view. Aaron stared in awe. He’d never seen anything quite like this, especially with people way older than himself.
Matthew picked something up off the floor, and looked at it, curious.
“Is that a leg?” He inquired, holding it over closer to someone who could possibly identify it.
“Looks like it…” Tracy answered. It was a tattered red and brown appendage, with a mechanical foot at the end that looked like it could belong to some kind of metal skeleton.
“You know who it's from?” Matthew inquired further, looking at it.
Tracy shook her head, “I was never really into the Freddy’s characters…. I do remember seeing what I thought was a red panda on the billboard… maybe it was that guy?”
“Well, we can find out who!” Matthew smiled, and wandered off, looking for anything else interesting to observe. Tracy and Aaron would follow as they, Gary, and Grant split up, failing to notice the clock.
