1:30 AM

Grant entered the dining room, only armed with a sole flashlight. This couldn't be real, could it...?

Of course it was real, he was living it.

The footsteps were farther away now, but he couldn't make too much noise. He kept the light on Freddy who, now given the circumstance, felt way scarier. He half expected Freddy to stand up and try to kill him, but Freddy remained still, much to Grant's relief.

The relief was short-lived when the footsteps started to approach closer. Grant, in a panic, dove under a table, and held his breath.

The purple feet could be seen from under the table, drawing closer to his hiding place. It neared closer and closer, until it stopped directly at his table. Grant wanted to cry, he wasn't going to die, not now. The purple feet stayed there for a few seconds, only to walk off to the left, opposite of the Office.

He exhaled, and crawled out of the table, making his way to the entrance. He could see the window, so close to escape. He walked to it and rammed his shoulder into it with all the strength he could, just to bounce off.

Grant looked up, and saw the window was still broken... That wasn't possible.

He tried the door, just to realize there were no handles at all.

And then he heard the footsteps behind him. The rabbit had been alerted of his location.

Grant ran as fast as he could to the safe room as he suddenly heard the rabbit speak again, "A n-n-n-n-n-ne-new fr-r-r-rie-riend??"

Grant ran into the safe room, and leaned against the wall, taking deep breaths. Too close for comfort.

Everyone stared at Grant in shock.

Matthew then finally gained the courage to ask, "What happened"

Grant took another deep breath. "The door can't be opened, and... and the window is completely impassable." he stammered.

Gary looked at Grant, confused. "But the window isn't blocked at all."

Matthew paused. "I think... Max mentioned a curse on these places, after that one kid had his skull crushed by some yellow bear back in '83..."

If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

Everyone looked at Matthew, "You mentioned this just now...?" Tracy questioned, she wouldn't have even risked bringing her and Aaron into this building had she known that.

"I forgot about it until now, I thought the curse was broken or something-" he complained, shooting a glance behind him, in case that rabbit learned how to open doors.

"From what I remember, anyone in the locations at 12 am kinda gets stuck in here, and the bots come to life. General idea of the curse, after all. Which means... we gotta last until 6 am now." Matthew noted, sighing.

Everyone just stared at Matthew.... This seemed kind of cliche, didn't it? Matthew seemed to think the same thing, glaring in the general direction of the rabbit's mechanical footsteps.

Aaron was shivering, hiding himself inside Tracy's shirt.

"So, wise guy, what's the plan?" Grant asked, glaring slightly at Matthew.

Matthew sighed. "Well, my plan is to pray that the other ones don't stand up, make it to the office, and last until 6 am."

Aaron simply whimpered, he had no idea that death was a possibility here.

Matthew gave a gentle look to Aaron. "It's alright, we'll be fine."

Aaron's only response was a sniffle. Everyone shared a concerned look. Making sure everyone survived would be a hard task. Maybe if they played their cards carefully, they could.

Matthew turned to Tracy. "What should we do?"

"I don't know anything about this place!" Tracy restated her fact. Unlike the others, she and Aaron barely knew Freddy's existed until now.

Matthew shrugged. "I guess we have to hide in the office all night."

"Is it s-safe...?" Aaron asked, wiping his tears. Gary nodded, and Grant shrugged a little bit. Tracy wanted to confirm her brother's safety, but even she was unsure. If one of them could get up, what was stopping all the other ones from doing the same?

Tracy thought about what Matthew said, but then spoke up, "S-Shouldn't we hide in here...?"

It did seem like their safest bet currently. Matthew nodded, and sat down on a table, prepared to wait the night out.

Aaron walked over to the corner and cowered. All Tracy could do was watch him.

Gary had a feeling nobody would forget this experience, even if they somehow made it out of here right now, too many close calls.

Time felt as if it was passing slower than ever, the everlooming silence only infrequently being broken by the footsteps of the huge rabbit outside. Its random mumbles didn't really help calm nerves either, everything it said hardly made sense. Tracy and her friends were quite literally sitting ducks. Once that rabbit found out how sliding doors worked, they were toast.

Aaron just stared at the door, shivering and clearly afraid of the huge rabbit. He didn't like it when it was dead on the floor, but now that it was moving... a nightmare came true. Tracy would walk over and sit next to him, comforting him slowly. Grant was trying to turn on the arcade machine, while Gary sat in front of the speaker to muffle the sound. The screen flickered to life, but only long enough to display the highest score from a man named 'Mark Plier'.

Their exploration was interrupted when Aaron screamed, Tracy was also staring in shock. Everyone then turned to where they were looking, and heard the tapping of the rabbit on the door. It was figuring it out slowly.

Everyone started to look around in a panic. No way out. However, as the rabbit kept tapping, it started tapping less frequently, as if it was confused... Eventually, the rabbit.... gave up and walked away? Aaron shivered once again...

There was something else going on with these robots...
