The buzzing sound of the fan was the first thing Michael heard when he entered the office.
They still kept that thing?
He grabbed the tablet, and jumped when the phone rang.
“Uh…. hello? Hello hello? Welcome to your uh… new summer job at Freddy Fazbear’s pizza! So, before we get started… I have some things to tell you, y’know… n-normal company stuff, just… standard company greeting, bla bla bla. So uh… if you die on the job, well… a missing persons report will be filed in 90 days or as soon as the premises have been bleached and the carpets replaced. Y’know, normal stuff. Uh… just know that the characters to tend to… get a bit quirky at night and wander around… and maybe make attempts to get into your office”
Michael sighed, knowing what Phone Guy would say.
“Uh…. but that's nothing to worry about, y’know? We DID install security doors after… the incident at the previous location. The company dubbed it “the Bite of ‘87”, which of course resulted in the closing down of Freddy’s JR. y-y’know… it's amazing someone can survive with that much damage to their frontal lobe… and of that degree…”
Michael winced, sounded painful…
“Uh… one more thing! If the mascots… find you past hours, they… may think you’re an endoskeleton without your costume on, and since that's not allowed at Freddy’s… they may stuff you forcefully into a suit. Now, that wouldn’t be all too bad without the cross beams and wires… but uh… if that does happen, the only parts that would see the light again are your eyes and teeth. Hah… they don’t tell you that when you sign up, huh? Well, anyways… stay safe, and I’ll see you tomorrow!”
Click!
Michael sighed and turned to the camera, pressing CAM 1A. The camera feed flickered to life, and a view of the stage was within view. The 3 mascots, Freddy, Bonnie, and Chica, stood silently on stage, staring blankly into the distance. Bonnie blinked, and took a slow step off of the stage, his foot making a thud when it hit the tile floor.
It’s started.
Bonnie slowly walked out of frame, and into the party room adjacent. Michael didn’t really know what to do, but he felt like this was… familiar. Too familiar.
Michael would flip to the nearest camera, CAM 1B, in an attempt to find the bipedal, mechanical rabbit. He watched, not really sure what he felt as Bonnie stood there idly, as he would start to let out a low giggle. Bonnie tapped his foot, and looked around, before taking a right to the parts and service room. The name alone made Michael shudder, but he wasn’t sure why.
It’d be best to keep track of the bluish rabbit, Michael had deducted. He hesitantly swapped cameras, expecting… something to be there, a view of what he feared, but it was nothing except shelves with spare parts, and an endoskeleton on the table, seemingly powered off.
Michael’s uneasiness dwindled. However, as quickly as it died, it sprung back when loud footsteps were heard in the hall.
“Hey there again!” a voice from the hallway called, startling Michael.
He had a dim memory of another purple rabbit he heard over… was it a phone? He could almost tell it was… the same voice he heard distantly, yet without that echo at the end… almost like they… fixed it? He opened the camera, and nearly had a heart attack when the first thing he saw was the cheery face of the purple rabbit, his magenta eyes focused on the camera lens.
“Was starting to wonder when you’d show up again.” the rabbit commented, tilting his head slightly
“What took you so long?” he inquired, getting a little closer to the camera.
Michael wanted to scream, but he knew he couldn’t. He didn’t want to suffer the same fate that the other guard did, back at the old location. He felt like there was a name attached to that black rabbit suit he’d seen after he quit, but the name was just out of reach.
Bonnie let go of the camera, and thundered down the hallway, and entered the supply closet, staring at the wall aimlessly. His magenta eyes seemed to scan over the room, almost like he was… looking for Michael. He clicked his jaw, and exited the room, before walking down the hall, and going out of sight on the camera.
Michael panicked a bit, but it was more of an urge to find it instead of hide. He reached out, and pressed the light button, before jumping back slightly as the happy purple face of Bonnie peered in from the window. Michael slammed the door button, closing the security door. The light flickered when it made impact with the floor, but nothing else happened other than an annoyed sigh from Bonnie.
“Awwwwhhhh, don’t be a bore!” The bunny whined, as if he was a child.
Michael peeked through the window, but jumped back in surprise when he was greeted by the happy purple bunny.
“Why are you back here, anyways? You should have known better, Freddy is a little mad…” Bonnie demanded, narrowing his eyes, but Michael could notice Bonnie had faltered a little bit when he mentioned Freddy, almost as if the bunny was a little unnerved himself.
Why was he scared?
Bonnie backed up, and walked down the hall back to the party room.
Once the bunny reached the dining area, Michael was about to flip back through the cameras when he noticed something else start walking into the frame alongside the bunny…

It was the chicken.
Bonnie stopped and turned toward Chica, and then spoke to her in a distasteful tone, “Freddy was right, he’s back…. I don’t think he knows that guy is the guard yet….”
Chica shuddered slightly, and shot a nervous look around the room, as if she was making sure someone wasn’t around to hear them
“You know what happens if we let Freddy down again…” Bonnie spoke in an uncomfortable waver, almost seeming…. scared.
“Well if we kill him NOW, Freddy won’t find out he was here!”
“We just have to kill him before Freddy notices…. Should we tell Foxy about this?”
“Foxy would know what to do… but he’s gotten… aggressive, he hardly ever leaves pirate cove now…”
Michael just watched this conversation. Suddenly, Bonnie would turn to the camera and notice the red beeping of the camera. Bonnie’s eyes locked on the camera, and by extension, Michael. Chica would notice Bonnie’s stare change.
“He’s watching us.”
Chica made a grimace, and turned to the camera as well.
“It's rude to eavesdrop.”
Michael would quickly flip the camera to a random camera.
He ended up at the Show Stage. Only Freddy remained… but the bear was turned toward the camera, a look of grave interest on his face. It seemed the bear really wasn’t asleep after all.
Michael should’ve expected this. He knew Freddy was smarter than Bonnie and Chica. He knew Freddy knew who was really here, there was no doubt in Michael’s mind. He swapped cameras to avoid making eye contact with the bear, instead looking at the many shelves of parts and service, his eyes scanning over the empty heads, and the endoskeleton, and the tools, making sure they hadn’t moved, trying to take his mind off of what would happen next.
Footsteps.
Footsteps came from the right hallway adjacent to him. He hesitantly looked outside of the room, and down the hall, squinting, trying to focus on what was at the hallway’s midpoint. The bright yellow figure at the end was unforgettable.
The chicken.
Michael let out a yelp and retreated into the office, flipping through the camera to find the East Hall. Chica stood menacingly in the shadows, tapping her foot out of boredom. She looked around, and clicked her beak. Michael kept his eyes locked on the chicken.
After a few seconds of stalling, Chica would seem to get bored, as she would walk out of frame. Sure enough, the footsteps started again around the corner. Michael flicked the light on, and recoiled slightly in alarm at the beaked face of Chica peering in through the small window. He punched the door button with the bottom of his fist, and it closed, making a heavy thudding noise on impact with the floor.
Chica growled, certainly more aggressive than the friendly demeanor of Bonnie.
“Why did you come back?! I thought Freddy made it VERY clear to not come back!”
Why did they keep mentioning Freddy? Michael wondered to himself. He jumped as a familiar ringing filled the office, and he turned to the clock, almost out of habit. 6 am, it was finally over. Michael quickly made his exit from the building…. It almost felt as if Chica disappeared from the hallway. As, just as quick as she entered, left the hall and back onto the stage.
*
7:30. 30 minutes before the pizzeria usually opened. Bonnie and Chica just sat at the Dining Area. It couldn’t be possible that guy had returned right?
Foxy was sitting in Pirate Cove, as usual, and Freddy…. Freddy had gone into the backstage once again, shutting and locking the door behind him as he usually did.
Bonnie sighed, and tuned his guitar. Chica walked up to him, no doubt they needed to have this conversation now, considering Freddy was out of earshot. Bonnie’s ears perked up, and he turned slightly to Chica.
“What is it?” he asked, his magenta eyes staring slightly at Chica.
Chica sighed, and took a seat next to the purple bipedal rabbit, “We can’t let Freddy find out about the guard…. I… didn’t wanna say this earlier, but Freddy…. is unhinged enough.”
Bonnie nodded, but turned quickly to the curtain of pirates cove and glared at it as Foxy called from behind the curtain of pirates cove, interjecting loudly,
“Well, maybe if ye weren’t so damn loud, Freddy wouldn’t have heard ye.”
Bonnie rolled his eyes. If they hated something more than Freddy, it was Foxy’s grumpy attitude toward everything. Chica shot a glare at the curtain, and then turned back to Bonnie.
“Just ignore him, he's always like this.”
Then…. The backstage door opened, and everyone, including Foxy, went dead silent as the bear stepped out, adjusting his bowtie, and scanning the room with his sky blue eyes.
“I take it you checked out the disturbance I asked you to?”
“Y-yes sir!” Bonnie stuttered, facing Freddy, although his eyes were averted.
“What did you find, rabbit?” The bear asked, with a much less friendly tone in his voice.
“Well… I found a uh… a n-night guard…” he stammered, looking around in a panic
“Interesting…. Very interesting,” Freddy turned toward Chica, in a malicious glare, “I bet you can confirm, can’t you?”
Chica yelped, and turned to Freddy slowly, a forced smile on her face. “H-hey freddy! We uh…. Yeah, there's someone in the office now… I feel like I’ve seen his face before though… might just be a returning patron! Haha…”
Freddy seemed to have caught her bluff almost instantly, “Why don’t I go check it out then, tomorrow?”
“Oh no no, you need your rest, big guy! Plus, it's not like he’s important or anything-”
“U-Uhm…. She’s right!” Bonnie let out a quiet whimper as he followed along with Chica’s lie.
“Very well.” The bear turned and went to go back into the Backstage, but stopped and turned toward the two with a threatening smile plastered on his face, “Don’t fail me this time. You’d certainly hate a repeat of last week, wouldn’t you?”
Bonnie and Chica went pale, and they turned to face each other. They remembered. Freddy, rather sadistically, chuckled at the reaction and went into the backstage, shutting the door.
Bonnie would turn to Chica, "We better just keep following along... Remember what happened to Sparky...?"
Bonnie and Chica shared a grimace at the mention, and went on stage, preparing for the day
