[Charlotte's POV]
It hurt so much I felt like I was going to scream. I probably would have if I had any energy left
I clutched the stub that was once my hand as I stared down at my skinny fingers and boney arm that looked frail and extremely unhealthy
I didn't have to look in a mirror to know that I looked like a skeleton due to the tier 4 material forcefully taking away almost all of my energy for itself
I tried to understand what was going on but every time I tried to focus somewhere else the throbbing pain all throughout my body drew my attention back in, preventing me from understanding what exactly was happening in the room
There were many people holding weapons, there were a few with paper and other items
before long a person came up to me and knelt down
'What?'
"It's ok, just relax"
I could hear him but my brain couldn't understand what he was saying
Reaching out he closed his eyes and focused on his hand that was beginning to shake slightly as energy seemed to glow beneath his palm
After a few seconds he reached out and touched my shoulder causing a warm and comfortable energy to spread throughout my entire body and making me feel energized
As the warmth swept through my blood and bones I felt a large burden lighten as the stubble that was my wrist began to quickly reform
The skin expanded and rolled back allowing for muscles to grow out flopping down before bones formed inside them tying them together before nerves wrapped around them making sure everything was tight and the skin spread over it like an infection returning everything to how it had been before it had been cut off
Just like my hand the rest of the holes and gashes across my body quickly repaired themselves and returned my body to how it used to be
Even my energy felt like it was being replenished slightly faster
After a few minutes he pulled his hand back as sweat continuously dripped down onto the ground forming many small puddles, it seemed his mutation was extremely taxing to utilize although it seemed worth it in the long run
After I was healed, the man relaxed for a bit before standing up and walking away
Looking to John, he looked a lot better than me with only a few burns and gashes mainly on his arms and thighs
It only took a few seconds for a girl to come up to me, her body looked plump but in an athletic and fit way as the tight green clothes clung to her hips and stomach show casing her muscles and body like a public display
Even though her body looked powerful and eye catching, her beautiful delicate green hair was more eye catching as it perfectly framed her glowing yellow eyes that resembled bright lanterns in the night

She knelt down causing her clothes to contort and squeeze against her body further accenting certain parts. It made me feel slightly jealous
"Hello there, are you alright now?"
"Yes, thank you"
My voice sounded groggy and almost lifeless making me question if it was my own for a few seconds before ignoring it and focusing on the women in front of me
"Can you tell me what happened here?"
I stared into her eyes for a few moments before reluctantly speaking
"I uh, tried to get to my friend but John stopped me. Emotional I stole his stash and accidentally pulled out the tier 4 material. Its all my fault"
Leaning in the green haired lady hugged me in her own warm embrace
"That's alright child, no one was harmed in the end"
Being held in her comforting embrace was too much for me too handle, I could feel warmth trickling down my face and before I knew tears were pouring out of my eyes like waterfalls
She was much too kind for me to handle
Especially with the exhausted state I was in

[Lucas POV]
I felt a burning breeze against my skin as my body froze
A freezing cold gust as my body burned like it was on fire
Everything felt impossible and contradictory even when it was happening
I couldn't even escape as I was trapped within an endless void that didn't have any light whatsoever
I continued to float within the emptiness without purpose or end in mind, only the thought of my own continued existence felt important
As I felt my mind slowly begin to bend under the pressure of being trapped within the void for an uncountable number of. Minutes? Hours? Days?
The darkness began to warp and change giving way to grass as green as corn stalks and rolling hills as gentle as silk
'What's happening?'
Confused I looked around at the open area now around me, it was breathtaking as blades of grass flew on the gentle wind and a calming fragrance was brought to my nose
As I relaxed and felt my surroundings that seemed like an impossible dream an odd feeling came over me
A pulling sensation flowed throughout my body dragging me somewhere, it wasn't a physical force or one I could resist, it was almost like my existence was being pulled by a rope
I tripped and dug my fingers into the grass that was moist from due drops and the soft soil slid under my finger nails. But even then I was still being dragged
After some time I simply let go and stood up right by planting my feet in front of me as the force pulled me causing me to swing upwards like a lever
When I was on my feet I stumbled multiple times before I finally found the right walking rhythm, although wary of my surroundings I continued on in the direction of the force
The longer I walked the weaker the pulling sensation felt until finally I could see large tree trunks as thick as buildings and cracked, old bark as dark as ebony
The view was mesmerizing and horrifying as they looked like giants looking down on an ant
Most of leaves at the top of the canopy looked as bright green as grass and almost as if they were glowing and absorbing the light from the sun itself
Peering into the deep canopy I noticed dark brown leaves on the lowest branches, they had lost their luster and were forced to struggle in the darkness of the forest all their lives until they eventually fell of and floated down to the root and leaf covered floors
I was so focused on the gradient of leaves that changed from the most healthy I had ever seen on the top to the already dead ones that lingered on the bottom, that I failed to realize that the pulling sensation no longer effected me allowing me to stay standing in place
Looking forwards I found myself standing much closer to the forest as only a hill separated us. The forest that was on the horizon a second ago was right in front of me
Terrified I stood rooted in place staring at the forest of trees that seemed to pierce high into the heavens with ease
No matter how much I craned my head I could only see the tips of the shortest trees in the outer rim of the forest
Giving up I lowered my head and messaged my neck before turning and looking left off into the horizon before turning to the right, I was hoping to see the forests edges or even a slight indicator of it thinning but it was hopeless
The forest was a contradiction to the low and peaceful plains I had journeyed across as it stood higher than any building I had seen and more imposing than any of the mutants I had ever come across
It was a presence that was never meant to be challenged by and ant like existence such as mine
And yet I could feel my purpose, a need for me within its bowls. Something lurked deep within waiting for my arrival
I took a deep breathe and obediently walked into the forest unsure of any other direction
