CH 19: Charlotte the Tier 2

CH 19: Charlotte the Tier 2

[Charlotte's POV]

I didn't know how long I had been sitting there without moving but I finally opened my eyes to find my room

There was a large bed, a chest, workout equipment and a large mirror

Standing up I clenched my hand trying to get used to the new strength that filled my grip

After familiarizing myself with the new strength in my hands I took a step towards the mirror and stared at myself carefully

My skin had become softer and my eyes had become more beautiful, even my hair seemed richer in texture

"Did I become more beautiful?"

As I kept staring at myself I almost started blushing at my own beauty

I didn't know how long I had been staring at myself when i felt my back hurting

I looked down to see what had been causing my pain to find that my breasts had grown significantly, they seemed almost twice the size but still paled in comparison when it came to Jessica's

I moved my hair out of the way to intently examine the changes that had happened to my body

My waist had gotten a little wider and it seemed like my stomach had become smaller, even my abs had faded replaced by a smooth alluring stomach

I did a small heel spin to inspect my whole body amazed by my magical transformation

'I look extraordinary'

After carefully inspecting every part of my body that had changed I walked over to my bed and put on the clothes I had previously taken off when I was undergoing my mutation

Now that I had become a tier 2 I could put my clothes back on

When I put my clothes on I could feel the distinct difference between my previous body, the area around my chest felt a lot tighter and the pants felt smaller around my ass

'Looks like they need to be changed to suit my new body'

I walked over to the bed and pulled a sewing kit out from under my bed before pulling out some cloth from my chest

I used the Scissors to cut my clothes and the cloth to make a piece of clothing that would suit myself

It took twenty minutes of dedicated stitching and trying it on to finally make it the perfect size for me, for some weird reason I felt less bored during the entire time than usual

Usually I would've gotten bored and given up halfway through but it seems like my body wasn't the only thing that went through changes, even my attention span had become longer

After I had done everything I put the cloth and sewing kit back before I left my room looking for Lucas, I wanted to show off my new beautiful looks to him

'He'll definitely fall in love after seeing me!'

I resolutely declared to myself as I rushed out giggling like a naïve school girl

[Lucas POV]

I pulled out the yellow viscous liquid and made sure to stuff it into my satchel this time

'Not making that mistake this time'

I double checked, triple checked everything I might need for the journey before grabbing one of my scrap parts and leaving my room

This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.

I walked out into the lobby and went up to the second floor

I immediately turned left and walked down a long corridor before coming to many open shops, it actually resembled a real working shopping center in this area

Walking past all the stores I saw them selling everything that was needed, one sold bread, another rope until I finally stopped at the one I was looking for, it was a shop that was selling bandages

I needed more bandages after using them all last time to try and fix my mangled leg

'Courtesy of that fucking rat. may he enjoy hell!'

Walking in I looked at the many different types of bandages on display, some were made of high quality materials whilst others were simple strips of cloth that were tightly rolled into small bundles

Passing through the different types I stopped at common bandages that were most commonly used, they were only slightly more expensive than the regular cloth bundles but were much more efficient and safe compared to them

I picked up a roll of bandages and walked over to the counter where an old lady covered in wrinkles with grey hair sat watching me intently

As I placed down the items she continued to scrutinize the item I had picked before speaking

"How are you paying?"

I placed the scrap on the counter in front of her

She picked it up and turned it in her hand carefully inspecting the folds in the metal and looking for any signs of rust and imperfections

"Good. good, this will be more than enough to cover your purchase"

She placed it down underneath the counter and pulled out a more rusted and older looking part sliding it across the table towards me

"There you go, please come again"

After finalizing the trade she continued to intently stare at my hands making sure I didn't try and steal anything on the way out

I left the shop and thought about anything else I might need on my trip out

Unsure of what to buy I decided to start wandering through the different stores searching for anything that might be even the slightest bit useful in my outing

After looking through the same old stores for the hundredth time in my life I hadn't found anything that I really needed or might use

'I already have have the tablet, rope, bandages, provisions, weapons, everything had already been meticulously obtained from my prior shopping'

Throwing my satchel over my shoulder I strolled out of the store area and down to the doorway

"Hey Jack"

"Mo'in how ye be do'in?"

Although most were educated and taught from a young age, some were still illiterate, some had speech problems and most of them were injured like the man unlocking the gate

He had a shallow slash engraved across his throat, it went from his chin all the way down to his chest, while he survived his throat and vocal cords gad been damaged due to the slash leaving him barely understandable even though we all spoke the same language

"It's been ok, anything interesting happen today Jack?"

"Nah ba'n que't"

After finishing on the last lock he pulled the door open for me

"Thanks, I hope you have a good day"

Walking past him he waved back, it was already surprising enough that he spoke this much today as he usually only gestured what he meant instead of speaking

'Does it hurt him to speak?'

His normal behavior suddenly made me curious as I thought back on all of the 'conversations' we've had

I didn't bother keeping my guard up as the hunting group had gone out a couple hours ago meaning the area was relatively safe

After awhile I entered into one of the back alleyways avoiding the main streets that were particular dangerous during the days

"Boom!"

A loud explosion echoed from the streets as what I guessed was a battle between the hunting party and a mutant beginning

'Not that way'

I turned in the opposite direction and continued down the alley looking for a new place to scavenge

'Haizz, where could treasure possibly be?'

I wandered around aimlessly hoping to come upon something that would hold riches like the warehouse that I had found a few days ago, because there was no way I would ever go near there again for a long time as I wasn't sure if it was still teeming with mutants attracted by the blood that had been left behind

Coming upon a dead end I looked around searching for anything that might be useful, before long I spotted a fire escape

I bent down and picked up a piece of concrete that had broken off from the floor, I corrected my posture and threw it towards the ladders locking mechanism with insane precision

"Clangg"

The rock slammed into the lock causing the rusted worn out metal to break under the strain of holding the ladder up after such a long time

The ladder quickly fell screeching to a halt a few center meters away from the ground just before a loud crash could echo throughout the alleyways

My face scrunched at the loud noises of metal before I relaxed and quickly searched around for any mutants that might have heard the sounds and come to check out the source

Before any mutants appeared I went over to the ladder and wiped my hand across the handle bar causing flakes of rust and paint to break off and scatter like freshly fallen snow

After brushing off the pieces that might cause me to slip I stepped onto the ladder and waited for a moment making sure it could hold my wait

"Eaaarr"

The metal ladder groaned like the catwalk from the warehouse, although the ladder didn't move as it sat in place

Before the ladder could groan anymore I quickly scrambled up and stood on the fire escape with it's grated floors and stair cases that connected to one floor after another

'Let's see if this place has anything interesting things'
