Vol 8: Chapter 2 - Consequences (Part 1)

“HANA” shouted the out Roi Lee and 500 student’s swung there swords down with full force.

“Dhul!” He counted on, and the students raised their swords up again before slashing it down with full force. As they cut through the air, the force of their slash caused the dust on the ground to unsettle.

“Seht!” Roi Lee continued counting with a frown. He was very much disturbed by what he experienced in Elementarem Vim. The feeling of the sword slashing him in half was still pulsating through his mind. This was his special hell training menu for his students to prepare them for Elementarem Vim.

Chung Il and Ma Sangbeom sipped hot tea as they watched Roi Lee grill his students.

“He seems to be very upset.” Ma Sangbeom said with his eyes following Roi Lee who was pacing up and down.

“Agreed.” Chung Il responded with his eyes fixed on the students. They had been practicing strikes for the last four hours without a break. Any normal mortal would have fallen to the ground but the disciples persisted. However, they too were reaching their limits.

“Should we stop him?” Choi Jong asked joining the conversation. It was only obvious to stop Roi Lee from going overboard.

“No. This is not our place to interfere.” Chung Il said slowly while blowing his tea cool.

Ma Sangbeom and Choi Jong looked at Chung Il in shock. Was this really the Chung Il they knew?

Chung Il was always ahead of them guiding them…even when playing RREV he was being a prick about how the others had to teach their students…

“Brother, Chung…are you ok?” Ma Sangbeom asked with great concern.

“Cha Eunhee…confessed; she had been playing RREV…”

“…”

“Isn’t that great! You two were meant for each other! Both couples start of in same city…” Ma Sangbeom spoke out cheerfully, trying to lighten the mood. However, he stopped when he noticed his words weren’t getting through to Chung Il.

“She said I shouldn’t interfere in other people’s business…”

‘Ouch! Harsh!’

“I think you are being too emotional about it.” Choi Jong said. “If master were here he would laugh seeing his disciple in tears. A woman made you cry? Pathetic. Those would be his words.”

Chung Il sobered a little. Tough love was a good medicine at times.

“Are we not playing Lee Hyun’s game as well now? I am sure she has her reasons as well. You probably haven’t even asked her why.”

“…I haven’t” Chung Il said with his head lowered.

“How many times have I told you to always talk to her! This is just like the time when you asked her to marry you and she turned you down…”

Ma Sangbeom’s eye brow was slightly raised. “I haven’t heard of this story….”

“It was long long ago, when he first asked her to marry him.” Choi Jong replied.

“But eventually she did agree…” Ma Sangbeom confirmed, unless they live partners…

“Yeah…but that was because he went and talked to her and understood her reasons…and she had good reasons, didn’t she” Choi Jong asked Chung Il.

Chung Il nodded.

“Now are we going to stop Roi Lee? Or let him do as he pleases?” Choi Jong pushed along. “He has been training his student’s for nearly five hours now…”

“What five hours?” Chung Il said as if he were completely unaware of the situation.

“Has he gone mad? Oye Oye! Roi Lee what do you think you are doing!” Chung Il got up and reached out to Roi Lee.

“Well he’s back to normal now, isn’t he? I guess that takes care of everything.” Ma Sangbeom said happily.

“…”

“Right hyung nim?” Ma Sangbeom asked again, seeing Choi Jong was in deep thought.

“No…” Choi Jong finally muttered. “We need to talk to Cha Eunhee and learn the truth.”

“Then we don’t have to go far…looks like she is here.”

Choi Jung looked up and saw Cha Eunhee and Lee Jun walk in through the gates together.

“Oh my I didn’t know such young students studied the way of the sword here…” Cha Eunhee said as she eyed Lee Jun.

“…”

“I didn’t know any lady other than Ji Woo would come here…” Lee Jun muttered. He hated when people under estimated him for his age.

“Hohoho…” Cha Eunhee laughed. “You are absolutely right! I don’t think anyone other than Ji Woo could possible come to this sweaty smelly male heaven…”

“…”

“Unfortunately, I fought with my husband and I had a feeling I should meet him…he gets emotional very quickly even though he is all muscle on the outside…”

“Husband?” Lee Jun asked suspiciously. The woman was old enough to be his grandmother. The only people that old and matched her were the four masters.

“That silly man over there…” Cha Eunhee said whislt pointing out at Chung Il who was busy indulging in a fight with Roi Lee.

“Master?” Lee Jun asked.

“Oh! I see he teaches you.” Cha Eunhee said eyeing Lee Jun once more. “Now if I recall…he did mention something about a young boy…”

“Cha Eunhee Unni!” Choi Jong greeted. He was accompanied with Ma Sangbeom.

After a brief hug, Ma Sangbeom began, “So unfair! If only my wife would come here too!”

“Cha Eunhee how long has it been since you last came here…” Choi Jong began.

“We don’t need to go through this.” Cha Eunhee cut him sternly. “I am at fault and I am here to apologize.”

“…”

Lee Jun excused himself from the adult conversation, he could feel that this was something he shouldn’t be listening to or be part of.

“Well, let me ask you. Why were you in the game?” Choi Jong asked openly.

Cha Eunhee began explaining. “Unicorn Corp has hired several specialists like me to assess the safety and rating of the game independently.”

“And your decision?” Ma Sangbeom asked with concern.

“Soon…” Cha Eunhee replied turning slightly pale.

“Does Lee Hyun know?” Choi Jong asked as he tried to fit the pieces of the puzzle together.

“Yes. I have been in touch with him…” Cha Eunhee replied feeling slightly guilty.

“…”

“Cha Eunhee?” Chung Il called out as he noticed his wife in thhe distance.

“I have to go.” Cha Eunhee said as she took the opportunity to evade further questions.

“Hyung-nim…” Ma Sangbeom began, “She is hiding something isn’t she?”

“…”

Authors Note:

1. Ummm....a really really short chapter.....more like an intro setting to the next chapter. Since it is so small, decided to call it 8.1.5

2. I am going to pick up the pace on the story now....so it might seem a bit rushed, but I am getting bored of RL story too! :3
