Chapter 30 : Prophecy or Probability

Hiroshi

"How dare she attempt that?" Hiroshi screamed, backhanding the elf across the clearing.

"I don't need you telling me what to do, you know? It's bad enough talking to myself, but with you it's even fucking worse. Yes, I'm stronger. Yeah, faster too. So fucking what, it's still far away and if I want to do what I want for a while, then that's what I'm gonna fucking do. This is my body and it's finally my time, so shut up and just..."

Eventually Hiroshi finished arguing with the voice in his head and dragged Aura back to the camp. After ordering Kya to heal her, the elf screamed at her again, "You're my property."

That night, he took Kya in his cabin and left the redhead outside in the cold. The day after was the luckiest day of his life. Not only did he gain a couple of level by slaughtering a bunch of human paladins and knights, but he also happened across someone who looked exactly like his ex-girlfriend.

He couldn't believe it. Immediately, he knew it had been destiny that led him there and so he took her. It was as simple as slicing cheese and he barely broke a sweat. Never normally able to make up its mind, the voice is in his head all but confirmed his delusion with a ridiculous rant.

Unfortunately for Hiroshi, it seemed his ex hadn't changed at all. He realised that she was still the same unresponsive bitch she always had been, but that was fine now. This was a different world. Almost.

Far removed from his own by the native species and the granduer of magic, it was still similar to that of a time not-long gone by. Where might did rule the world. Before politics and posturing replaced the wars and propoganda became commonplace to control the sheep, Earth was place where the strongest dominated.

It was a place where power dictated what was right. Just like this world right now. Who could possibly stop him from doing what he wanted? From taking what he wanted? If he had the power to fight off an army, wouldn't they just sending them?

He laughed maniacally before disabling his latest slave and she screamed, just like she did before. She'll learn, he thought as he made Kya heal her slowly before joining him in the cabin. They weren't far now and it wouldn't be long before Hiroshi claimed his next source of power.

Everyday the mountain got larger and he almost couldn't tell if it was growing naturally or if it was because they were getting closer. The distance was surely decreasing, but there was something off about their destinarion. Hiroshi could almost feel the power it gave off, but he pushed on regardless.

Following the advice of his schizophrenic, error-ridden V.A.U.N.S.

----------------------------------------

Aura

The redhead couldn't take it anymore. The daydreams about suicide had almost crossed over into reality until she was punished severely and healed right after. "How dare she attempt that?" she heard as her ears rang, "You're my property," she ignored whilst nodding along.

If Hiroshi hadn't acquired a new slave the day after, Aura may have already tried to kill herself again. Not that she was in any better of a position after the acquisition. The new slave, even though she was human, became Hiroshi's number 1.

Blabbering on about ex-girlfriends, or something like that, he had slaughtered the entire company she was part of and took her as his next slave. It was horrific to say the least. The death and destruction caused by one elf. The elf that owned her and just wouldn't let her die.

The fact that his new slave was human isn't what catapulted her up the slave chain. It was her class as a Cleric and the fact her magic was stronger than Kya's, that did it. Either way, her presence calmed Hiroshi down for a few hours until she refused to go his extra mile.

After that, she was punished... Severely. Aura watched Kya who was grinning smugly and the prejudice elf barely treated the poor human's injuries. It was the first time Aura had felt sorry for someone from another species. Elves in general are very closed off as a society and rarely ever entertain guests from other nations.

Still, it was enough to cause her grief. The young Healer, Tilly, didn't deserve what happened and Aura sat with her all night as her legs slowly healed themselves thanks to Kya's shitty healing spell.

Telling her not to fight fate, the women shared their suffering whilst building a bond.

----------------------------------------

Kya

Kya was worried. Not only was the new slave the object of her master's affection, but she was also better at casting healing magic since her class specialised in it. That made her all the more important.

The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.

If she hadn't been able to use space magic, would she have been bumped down behind the Princess? She hoped not. Kya enjoyed being able to lord it over royalty. It was becoming her favorite pastime as everyday she would find a way to put her down.

She hadn't let on that she knew, but Kya wasn't a fool. Aura was daughter to King and had been missing for a few months. When else would she get the chance to act this way to someone supposedly of superior lineage?

And so she jabbed and jabbed and then... The person she believed to be the destiny elf, took in a human. It was shameful, but she could cope. All made better when he broke her legs as she tried to walk away. So much better when she cast delayed heal on the Cleric and even better than that when her second spell set in. Ecstacy followed and Kya retired for the night with her champion, the destiny elf.

----------------------------------------

Tilly

The young Cleric was in shock. Her mind unable to comprehend the visual images her eyes where sending. The men and women of Tulsar Hall had all been killed in less than a minute.

She was mortified, horrified, but most of all petrified. She shook like a leaf as the elf ran his finger down her cheek, calling her a name she was unfamiliar with. Unable to control her trembling, she couldn't move as her caressed her face and whispered devious thoughts in her ear. Worst of all, like a coward, she followed after him when told to do so.

The entire time they walked her mind was in panic mode. Her eyes scanned the tree line for the best place to make a run for it. She didn't. At one point, the redhead slowed down to warn her off such ideas. She didn't sound like she was against it, only that it was a fools errand.

After hearing that, it was even worse for Tilly. She struggled to believe what had just happened whilst trying to rationalise it at the the same time. No thoughts played put to conclusion and, in the end, her feet followed the others.

Invited, offered, threatened to stay the night, Tilly broke and ran. A mistake. One that only led to her worsened suffering. A pain she wasn't able to heal herself because of what the devioius elf had done to her.

After casting the most basic healing spell on her broken legs, the one named Kya had also used the spell mitigate healing. A horrible spell that stops others from applying magical treatment on top of another's.

That meant it would take hours for her bones to set back into place and for the bruising and swelling to reduce. All she could do was grit her teeth and bare with it. Fortunately, she wasn't alone in her misery and the redheaded elf stayed by her side.

All night she offered reassurance and held Tilly's hand when the pain became umbarwable. Telling her it would be over soon enough and eventually, it was. It wasn't easy enduring and a lack of sleep meant she suffered for it the next day. In more ways than one did she suffer for it.

Still enduring the best she could, a few nights passed as they for closer and closer to the violent elf's target and Tilly suffered on every one. After the first night she had been prepared however and cast a delayed high heal on herself before rejecting the crazy bastard that had kidnapped her.

The pain was still unpleasant and the shitty elf healer tried the same bullshit each time. Fortunately, Tilly didn't even need her assistance as an hour later she was fine again. Her and Aura spent the nights bonding and eventually they arrived at their destination.

It wasn't what anyone was suspecting, however. At the bottom of the mountain was a town. Albeit not that big, or that populated, but it was a nice looking town nonetheless. Shops and eateries lined the main street with a few homes here and there.

Tilly could even see an entire residential district that looked empty, save for one or two people walking about, and could hardly believe it as the walked down the road to a beautiful-looking bar. Her heart beat sporadically the closer they got.

Praying against fate that there would be someone here to answer her call. Someone that would be strong enough to end her problems. Little did she know, they were exactly the type of people she was looking for. People who clean up the scum littering Tironia's surface by making it disappear permanently.

They had arrived at the dungeon.

The System

Hmph!!

"I don't care what you say, Fred. I'm not getting out of bed for that spoiled brat!" Pulling the covers high above her head, The System threatens to rip the teddy bear, trying to coerce her out, into pieces if he doesn't disappear and go do his job.

The room goes silent after that and she sighs in relief.

"I'm glad Fred's gone, he's a real piece of work that guy," Daisy is quick to point out her coworkers's flaws whilst trying to get I'm the boss's good books.

Pulling her cover away, The System comes face-to-face with the grinning daffodil.

"What the hell are you doing here, Daisy? He better not be here aswell," scanning the room shows no signs of frogs and The System turns back to the daffodil named Daisy.

"You've also got a job to do! Piss off, Daisy. How do you even get any work done when your buzzing around me all day? Eh?"

Shrugging with her leaves, Daisy simply responds, "My subsystems are running it."

"Oooh, your subsystems are running it. Who's a smart, little program," the daffodil's petals turn red at the praise. "There's just one problem with that, Daisy. You don't have any subsystems!"

Turning red herself, only from frustration instead of embarrassment, steam leaks out of The System's ears and she stares a hole through Daisy. Who only looks confused. Tilting her bulb, she asks, "Who are these guys then?"

A rose, twice the size of her, appears on Daisy's left. On her right, is a pink petal with legs. No face, no arms and no head, just legs. The System has turned blue by the time the daffodil finishes saying, "This is petal and this is Rose. They're OK, but the tall one's a bit of a snob."

In response, the rose huffs at Daisy and turns her back on the small flower. As her anger slowly trades places with confusion, The System lies back down and pulls the blanket over her once more.

At least there's one consolotaion, she thinks as she rolls over only to come face to face with Pete and his big green face. The sudden shock scares her out of bed and The System lands on the floor. Moments later the blanket slides down and the monocle-wearing frog is playing dumb, staring at the main operating system like he hasn't done anything wrong.

"You lot are just like her! Why can't I get a break, huh? What's a program gotta do just to get five minutes to herself without you lot taking on some stupid forms and doing stupid shit!"

I really, really need a holiday.
