Sitting across from me in a now much better-looking domain - of course, I replaced hers with one of my own after finding out I'm much, much stronger than she is, is the newly-titled Lazy God. Or Lazy Goddess in her case.
Underneath a bright, blue sky and surrounded by nature, we're sat under an umbrella at a lovely-little table the same colour as my new companion. Drinking tea on top of the same bridge I met Sis on once upon a moon ago, we discuss many things including her terms of employment in Varona.
It turns out her name is Kolena and the former Goddess of Beauty only cares about one thing. Being beautiful. She's convinced herself that now she's lost her old title she's also going to lose her looks.
I assured Kolena that wouldn't happen as I had plans for my new Goddess friend. Plans that would ensure she stays beautiful while also being beneficial to me in some way or other. Living in Varona is all she actually has to do if she wants to stay gorgeous, but while she's there she may as well pitch in.
I can see her doing well in the reformation department. Divinity's Sight is a huge boon for her. It might almost be as good as Soul Guide. In fact, maybe it's better than my skill seeing as how she can see titles and I can't.
Waking from my sleep, there's one more woman in my city than there was before I drifted off. Standing beside my futon, Kolena is staring at the triplets with an unhappy look written across her face.
"What's up?" Curiosity always gets the better of me and I can't help but ask. I stand up and summon an apple as she turns toward me.
"They're Dragons? Something else you shouldn't be capable of. They're demons from the demon realm." She states matter of factly.
"What? Don't be ridiculous. How are they demons? Dragons are monsters, aren't they? That's what Sis classifies them as anyway. They level up, evolve, grow, and learn just like everyone else. Some are more... Rebellious than others, but they're still amazing. There's no way they can be demons, I summoned them myself. In fact, we've fought demons and they didn't look anything like my girls."
Kolena inspects them all carefully before returning back to me.
"It's true that they don't have the usual demonic appearance. That may or may not have something to do with you and my title."
"My title," I have to correct her. She looks ready to argue until my glare settles that one.
"Fine, whatever. Your title. That said, they're still demons whether you like it or not." Huffing her answer, Kolena looks down at the city.
"You know what? I can summon that many different types of creatures these days, I'm not even surprised. Nor do I care for that matter."
"What?" Kolena is shocked at my response. "W-What do you mean you don't care?"
"These girls are my everything. I love them just as much as anyone else summoned by my skill. Demon or not, they're my family and if you see something wrong with that, then we're going to have a serious problem."
"I... I don't have a problem. I just... Wanted to make sure you were aware of what they are. T-That's all." She stares at the ground and her response makes me feel bad again. I suppose I should really. I do keep threatening her, although she did abduct me so she kind of deserves it. Another weirdo to add to the ever-growing pile.
"And like I said, they're family. That's the last I want to hear about that, please." This is so awkward. Kolena is from a different realm, yet here she is nodding away at my words as though they're law. Actually...
"Kolena. I want to make a contract."
"A contract? What kind of contract?" That's a good start. She doesn't seem unwilling, only a little skeptical but after my pitch she'll be sold.
"Just one that binds us together so to say. I'm hoping to get that skill of yours while you should receive a boost in your beauty at the very least." All she really cares about is her own looks after all.
"I suppose so. Nothing else really matters in any of the worlds except for beauty."
With that, I bind the Lazy Goddess to my dungeon as a contracted monster. The same as I did with Peaches, Katrina, Tilly, and the rest. Unfortunately, I didn't unlock Divinity's Sight while doing so, but that doesn't mean I didn't gain anything from our contract.

I've joked about it so much that it's hard to take seriously.
Even while looking at my status, I have to repeatedly make sure my eyes aren't deceiving me. For Kolena to say it is one thing, but to see it for myself is another matter completely.
I can't believe I'm a Goddess for Cores' sake. When did that happen? I've become one of the people I complain about - and too, day after day. Not that these posers are the real deal, but I'm going to show them what being Godly bloody well means.
Also, not only do I have the Lazy Goddesses' previous title, the one for beauty that fits me perfectly, but I somehow managed to acquire a second one somewhere else down the line. Oddly enough though, owning two Godly titles makes me feel pretty God-damn good about myself.
With vague ideas as to where my second title came from, I leave the thoughts alone to enjoy the high I'm riding. The last thing I want right now is something killing it. However, the universe always seems to be against me for some reason and the triplets decide that now is the perfect time to wake up.
Didn't even last five minutes.
"Who's this? And why are you all white? I mean you look kinda good, but... I don't know. Maybe mix it up a little? A green streak would go a long way."
Violet's vocalism isn't lost on me. Usually, she's the last one to speak, if she has any input at all that is. Anything not related to Bear is usually lost on her. This rebellion I can almost get behind.
"This is Kolena. She's from another realm and is going to be staying with us for a while." I announce.
"Why do you always bring home strays?"
I have no answer to that as I wasn't expecting Violet to be so blunt. She's just stroking Bear's fur as though she hasn't just trampled on my feelings. I'd like to complain about them not being here if I didn't do just that, but technically I absorbed the Dragon that Light killed so it's a different matter completely and wouldn't be relevant.
I'm still hurt though so I stick my tongue out behind Violet's back and leave it at that. Blondie, now that she's actually present again, is back to her usual self and is discovering all of Kolena's deepest secrets. Amber is still rubbing her eyes and there's no need to wait to see how she will react.
I'm dreading what she's going to go through today though.
Porting the six of us to Amber's favorite spot, it's breakfast time. The redheaded Rebellion Dragon drags Kolena inside obsessing about 'having to try it.' This will be the first time the goddess will have tried Tironian cuisine. Or at least dungeon-borne Chef cooking.
Either way, it always hits the spot.
Amber only ended up spending an hour of our time eating. Kolena was also extremely satisfied with her meal and had two extra portions herself. Fortunately, my Stalker was nowhere to be seen today so that was a bonus.
After breakfast, I faced the first problem of the day. What do I do with the triplets while I attend my morning meeting? Worse yet, what do I do with them while I'm doing actual work after lunch?
They were placid and patient before their evolution, but I doubt so much now. I suppose I should try and find them some type of work while I'm busy doing my own. I doubt they really want to sit around and watch me change stone bricks into Mythril. The wall surrounding my city is a much bigger project than I initially thought it would be.
Maybe we could go for a walk? Land Acquisition is still a thing and I've got a few cities left to acquire before the entire area falls under my domain. Although, that thought only lasts as long as Amber's cravings remain at bay and I suspect that isn't half the amount of time it was before. Violet and Bear will probably enjoy it and Blondie can keep at Kolena on the way.
It'll do.
For the meeting though?
I move us to the forest where we find a startled Me holding some type of rat creature upside down by its tail.
"This isn't what it looks like." He shouts even though I have no idea what's going on.
"If you mean you're not holding that rat by its tail, then you're clearly wrong and it definitely is what it looks like. Not that I care about that or why you're doing it. What I need is for you to watch these five for me. Just while I'm at the meeting." Glossing over the fact that he's clearly doing some weird shit with that rat, I only need him to babysit for me so I get straight to the point.
"Oh. Erm, OK. I don't mind, but who's this?" Me is referring to Kolena of course as he hasn't met our new resident God yet.
"I'll leave her to explain that. Actually, I suppose I should bring her to the meeting. It will be a lot easier once everyone meets her." Confusing Me isn't usually that hard, but when I change my mind mid-sentence, he always gets it the worst.
"What do you mean it will be easier? Who is she, Abi?"
"Before I tell you, when was the last time you checked my status?" I ask knowing he won't reply and instead will do exactly what I just mentioned.
"Are you serious? Goddess of Beauty? How did you manage to attain that? The Dungeon one I can understand, but that beauty thing did not happen just because you may or may not have mentioned it before." He says, staring into the forest and avoiding eye contact with me.
"You know damn well I said that before. I told you I make people beautiful and now I have proof. I'm the God-damn Beauty Queen, Me." That earns me a sour look from Kolena but screw that Goddess. Who really cares what she thinks? It's about time I got to revel in something, even if it is just rubbing Me's nose in it.
