"Hey you had forgotten me, what happened to you? Did you die before me? hahaha and you're the dragon"
“...garr”
"What? What do you mean? If you don't vocalize, I won't be able to understand you, come on, do it, it's not dif-"
In a very unkind way, I understood what he was trying to tell me and I should have expected it. I mean, it was strange that the whole reconstruction process happened throughout the body, including the bones, but I never felt anything in my head. Of course, since I have no idea whatever's going on, I thought it was normal, but I was wrong and the discomfort of the past few days returned, only this time in my eyes, which was absurdly horrible. I was desperate to scratch, but the threads tying me to Danamus prevented me from moving my hands.
The sensation of being eaten alive was already horrible in itself, but somehow it didn't feel so desperate and even when I felt it in my heart, it wasn't as unpleasant as it was this time. The only thing I could think of was to close my eyes and wait for it all to be over, but closing my eyelids didn't eliminate the feeling of discomfort, in fact, it didn't do any good because I could still see how the stars appeared and disappeared from my sight.
And since my luck has always been shit, the reconstruction took longer than with the organs. Up to this point, the one that had taken the most time was the heart. I wanted to escape but I couldn't, I even thought about gouging out my eyes to stop suffering, but I couldn't even move, I could only cry while desperation took over my being, until finally the torturous process came to an end.
When the process seemed to be over, I opened my eyes to check if my sight had been affected and indeed, it underwent a noticeable change. My vision lost its color and now I could only see a pale gray substance, almost white, that was everywhere and precisely where Danamus lay, it became denser, making it almost impossible to distinguish the figure of the young dragon.
“hahahahaha it seems that not all this suffering was in va-"
*AAAAAAAAHHHHHHGGGG*
"GRRR”
"Shit"
*Haaa*
*Haaa*
"I'm fine, well, not fine, but you know what I mean"
All the gray substance in the environment was being sucked by Danamus and then transmitted to me through the threads, which I could see shining, allowing me to differentiate them from the substance of the environment. The only exception to this were the threads coming out of my wrists, which instead of being gray, the blood circulating through themlooked more like water, it was almost transparent, retaining no trace of its natural gray color.
I only opened my eyes for a couple of seconds, but doing so was not very smart. For the first time since my heart was rebuilt, it started pounding against my chest as if I was running a marathon, the blood completed its journey much faster than before and the body heat that was once like sunbathing on the beach on a hot day, now burned my whole body.
The information overload caused me a severe migraine that I had to endure stoically since the only thing I could move at this moment was my head and if my brain hurts, shaking my head like a rattle I don't think it would be positive. Not to mention my eyes were the ones that had it worse, the pain was so intense that I tried to close my eyes to mitigate it, but it was in vain and I could feel thick liquid coming out of my sockets, which is probably blood.
"Grrmm"

Besides, it seems that this action also used up too much energy, my body no longer felt the same vigor as before and instead, I felt as weak as when I woke up after having been defecating unconsciously for weeks. And it seems that I'm not the only one who feels this way, because from Danamus' low roar, it seems that he also used up a lot of his energy, which if you think about it doesn't make sense. Of course, at this point nothing makes sense anymore.
"You should have told me that this kind of thing was going to happen and if I killed us both? *Haaaaa* In the end, those who said dinosaurs have brains the size of peanuts will be right"
“....gaar”
"True, you're a dragon, but I don't think there's much difference"
After the little slip up earlier, I decided that keeping my eyes closed for the rest of the time would be a good idea. At some point, my heartbeat began to normalize, my body temperature returned to a summer sun warmth and my eyes no longer felt like they were burning, but I still refused to open my eyes and experience the same nightmare again.
'I've never been a man of prayers, but let this end now'
I don't know how long the process took to finish, and now with my eyes closed, it's even harder to try to calculate the time. I tried counting the seconds, but I'm not very good with numbers and at 4000 seconds I stopped counting. I know an hour has 3600 seconds, but when I tried to calculate the remaining 400 seconds, I lost count.
But being inert and unable to do anything is very stressful, so I had to find a way to pass the time. And since I enjoy music, I tried to sing in my mind the songs I remembered, which didn't go very well because I don't recall the complete songs, only parts of them, and instead of relaxing, it stressed me out because I couldn't remember the whole song.
The previous event was a warning, so I was already prepared. if my whole body has to go through the process of being eaten, then the only thing missing is my head and of course the brain. But I believe that my earlier imprudence caused the process to slow down, and it was only after my body regained enough energy that I again felt the tingling, which this time started at my chin.
It was the same sensation and just as slow as before, I could feel small spasms in my skin every time a part disappeared and reappeared simultaneously with the same slowness and discomfort as before, though at least it was the familiar discomfort. But everything changed the moment the tingling sensation reached the brain and from that point on everything was very strange.
Sometimes I could feel the discomfort and then I couldn't feel anything. Sometimes I was clear about what was happening and could even remember events from my childhood clearly and other times I couldn't even remember my name. Sometimes I had the feeling that even with my eyes closed, I could see Danamus, my surroundings, and other times I couldn't even feel my own body.
It was a limbo of feeling and not feeling, so I'm not sure if I'd call it torture, since I even feel like I rested, and this eliminated a great deal of the mental fatigue I had. It was like when you have an old computer and you swap it for something newer and more powerful, I felt that I could process more information at a faster speed. Did this make me smarter? That's a question I'll have to answer over time, but I would say no.
In the midst of going back and forth, I finally regained full consciousness of myself. Luckily, the tingling had disappeared. The downside was my appearance, which didn't seem very dignified. I was far from my former glory, I mean, my mouth was open with saliva dripping at will.
Cough*
"When we get out of here none of this has happened, okay?"
I can still feel the threads connecting me to Danamus, so I keep my eyes closed and even try to avoid thinking. If things are as I think, then this ordeal must be coming to an end I don't want any action of mine to prolong my rebirth or whatever is going on with me one more minute.
On the bright side of things, during this time we've been floating, so my butt is safe. I mean, I don't know what would have happened to my buttocks if I had been sitting on the ground without moving for so long. At the very least I would have roots or worse, fungi.
I also gave up trying to engage Danamus in conversation, he always ignores me and talking alone is something the mad wizard would do, not me. Soon, the discomfort I felt ceased, and all I could hear was the silence of the room along with the beats of my heart, as circulation of blood and time were the only things that didn't stop.
"Grrmm"
*Crack*
Like all beginnings, this one had an end. The threads on my wrists broke, and the small holes they passed through were covered with a bit of blood. I could feel the flesh regenerating at a rapid pace, it was inhuman. Since my brain was reformed, I feel different, even though I still haven't been able to sleep, I don't feel the desperation of before. I don't know what Danamus' purpose was in making me go through all this, but one thing is certain, I'm not the same anymore.
'Does this mean I can use magic now?'
