Messed with the status window a ton, it is now much different than before. Also I changed the entire plot again. If you don’t like it then leave. Also… well you’ll find out quick enough.

1000 Years After Previous Chapter…
“Fuck.” I muttered under my breath as I looked at the spaceship esque room around me. The small silver cabin lacked any doors or windows, and the entire floor was just a big mattress.
『Welcome to the room of reincarnation-』 Wonder where I heard that before. Though what was I doing before I came here? 『Since you fell from a higher plane into a lower plane, you get the option of a single special skill as a bonus. Please select from this list;』
: Status Management
...There’s only one skill here. I sighed and pressured my pale forehead with my thumbs. “Whatever,” I leaned back, “I’m sick and tired of being summoned around randomly; Select Status Management.”
『Status Management selected. Choose your lifestyle and preferences. You can start life from a baby, or any age. The location and family can be selected.』
“Ye, Ye, I know the drill.” Starting as a baby has its benefits but right now I just want to enjoy life. “Make me 16 years old, send me to a place where it is easy for me to level up. Besides that I don’t really care.”
『Understood. Enjoy your ne-』
“Wait.” I stopped the reincarnation system as a grin slowly spread across my face. “Can you erase my memories?”
『It is possible.』
I laughed, a thousand years of reincarnating over and over again grow dull after all. “Take away all physical memories and leave me with my instinct, maybe language as well.”
『Granted. All other parameters have been randomized. Goodbye, Jiin.』
-----------
I woke up in a daze, blearily capturing the humble forest surroundings as I sat up and brought a pale sweaty palm to my head. Blinking away the blur in my vision I looked down at my hand. My skin was slightly tan, soft and delicate like a newborn’s and lacking the callouses that come from hard work. I clenched my fist a few times as I randomly tried to recall information.
Though, it doesn’t seem I have any solid memories. But I can still recall information. “Amnesia?” I pondered my scenario for a while when suddenly hit by an urge, “Status.” *ping~!
: Name- Jiin Fallwind
: Race- Diablo (D)
: Gender- Male
: Level- 1
: Status- Strength E(31) / Constitution E(29) / Agility D(45) / Spirit D(41) / Fortitude D(62) / Dexterity D(63)
: Skills- [Status Management Lv1]
“Huh.” Without realizing it a stupid voice leaked out as I poked my finger into the transparent panel infront of me. “I wonder what status management does?” *Ping~!
: Status Management Lv1 (1/10) - Allows you to change points in your status. Stats can be converted from one unit to the next. Only existing skills and stats can be manipulated.
“Hoh~” So I could give one stat all the power and neglect the others if I so wished? I smiled slightly before sighing and standing up, briefly taking note of the linen pants and shirt I was wearing. Soft leather shoes also covered my feet, and around my neck hung a simple leather cord with a polished grey stone hanging from the necklace. Thumbing the rock I pondered its significance. Well, for now I don’t remember anything in particular so it should be fine. Rather- I rubbed a piece of my straight dark brown hair between my fingers, then felt the two small horns on my forehead. Am I demon of some sort? Well my status does say Diablo… Umu, I’m also level 1, shouldn’t it be higher if I lived before now? Also what is this (D) after my race?
I sighed and looked around my surroundings. First things first- I have to grow more powerful. For that I should increase my level. To raise my level I need to hunt, “So shall we search for something to kill?”
>----<
A few minutes of walking and I have come across my first opponent.
“Buruburu…”
A rock type monster that moves exceedingly slowly, similar to a turtle with six legs and crab-like head. When I stare at it for a while a message appears above its head.

: Rock Crawler (E) Lv8
Carefully I approach it while opening my status, then transferring 10 points from both agility and spirit and 20 points from fortitude and dexterity into strength, changing the rank into C. The rock crawler seems to be blind as well, as even though I approached it it didn’t react and was calmly munching on grass. Focusing I approach in one step and swing my hand down in a karate chop-
-*CRACK-- And the rock crawler gave a silent scream as its shell burst into pieces, killing it in one blow.
> Successfully subjugated Rock Crawler x1
> Level up! You are now level 2
> A new skill can be chosen:
: Experience Boost Lv1
: Strength Boost Lv1
: Status Management Lv2
“Select experience boost level one.” I answered without hesitation. Growth is always better in the long run.
> Experience Boost Lv1 added to skills.
Sighing I moved the points back into the skill slots I had previously and looked over my status.
: Name- Jiin Fallwind
: Race- Diablo (D)
: Gender- Male
: Level- 2
: Status- Strength E(32) / Constitution E(30) / Agility D(46) / Spirit D(42) / Fortitude D(63) / Dexterity D(64)
: Skills- [Experience Boost Lv1] / [Status Management Lv1]
So every stat grew by one point. It will be awhile til all my stats rank up on their own. For now though I should continue to hunt and find food. I looked at the rock crawler corpse and concluded that it has nowhere near enough meat to feed me. Well whatever, it is good as experience fodder.
>----<
*Ping~!
> You have subjugated Rock Crawler x6
> Level up! X3
> You are now level 5
> Three new skills can be chosen:
: Strength Boost Lv1
: Agility Boost Lv1
: Constitution Boost Lv1
: Spirit Boost Lv1
: Status Management Lv2
Sighing I stood up and converted my status points back to their basic values before turning my attention to the new skills. So I can gain one every level? That’s a bit overpowered. Well no matter. “Select Spirit Boost, Strength Boost, and Status Management Lv2.”
> Selected Spirit Boost Lv1
> Due to the boost you have received a skill - Neutral Magic Lv1
> Selected Strength Boost Lv1
> Selected Status Management Lv2
“Hoh~” My eyes glimmered as I looked over the notifications. “So upgrading skills can unlock others?” However Status Management didn’t unlock anything. Unfortunate. Well might as well check the descriptions.
: Neutral Magic Lv1 (1/10) - A type of magic without an attribute, and relatively weak. Level one; Basic step
: Spirit Boost Lv1 (---) - Increases the effectiveness of the spirit stat by 5%
: Strength Boost Lv1 (---) - Increases the effectiveness of the strength stat by 5%
: Status Management Lv2 (13/20) - Allows you to change points in your status. Stats can be converted from one unit to the next. Only existing skills and stats can be manipulated. Skills and stats of allies can be manipulated and exchanged.
So I can manipulate the status of allies now? If I continue to level this skill will I be able to steal the abilities of my opponents? I quickly wiped the small grin from my face, I shouldn’t be too happy about depriving my enemies after all.
“Yip! Yip!” Blinking at the noise I turned to find a group of small red puppy-sized wolves growling and yipping at me.
:Little red Wolf (E) Lv18
“Cute…” I muttered right before the six little bastards charged me, one of them even spitting a small candle-like fireball I quickly avoided. Well, they attacked me so I guess there is no choice. Steadying myself on my back leg my front leg lunged outwards and kicked two of the puppies in the head, knocking the surprisingly heavy things back a couple meters.
Unfortunately it didn’t kill them. Jumping back to avoid the pincer attack of the remaining four I quickly manipulated my status and moved points from spirit and fortitude into agility and strength, closed my status and kicked out, successfully snapping one’s neck and dazing another.
Putting pressure into my standing leg I jumped backwards and avoided the little fangs of the wolves, grabbing two of the as I flipped and crushing their necks in my hands before dropping them.
Trace amounts of fear could be seen in their little eyes, but the three remaining ones charged me anyway. Taking a breath I attacked continuously with my feet, killing the remaining wolves within a minute. *Ping~!
> You have subjugated Little Red Wolf x6
> Level up! x7
> You are now level 12
> Six new skills can be chosen:
: Strength Boost Lv2
: Agility Boost Lv1 | Agility Boost Lv2
: Constitution Boost Lv1
: Fortitude Boost Lv1
: Dexterity Boost Lv1
: Close Quarters Combat Lv1
: Bare Hand Mastery Lv1 | Bare Hand Mastery Lv2
I quickly looked over the updates and raised an eyebrow, six new skills? Not seven? So the amount decreases as my level grows or is it simply that six is the limit I can gain at once? Well no matter, “Select Bare hand Mastery Lv2, Close Quarters Combat, Dexterity Boost, and Agility Boost lv2.”
> Acquired Bare Hand Mastery Lv2
> Acquired Close Quarters Combat Lv1
-> Due to gaining a skill another skill has been acquired: Physical Prowess Lv1
> Acquired Dexterity Boost Lv1
-> Due to several skills another skill has been acquired: Precision Lv1
> Acquired Agility Boost Lv2
-> Due to several skills another skill has been acquired: Swiftness Lv1
Unfortunately experience boost or Status Management’s level up isn’t there. I sighed and stretched, then looked down at the six little corpses around me, a tang of guilt licking my heart as I gathered up the corpses and started to look for a place to start a fire.
