Chapter 30 - Strange feeling

Chapter 30

“Admin, if I could fight eventually with a Master Sage before with my purple flames, why is it that I could barely kill two of them with my current strength?” Yan asked.

“Yan that is because you upgraded your strength so fast that your body isn’t capable of keeping up.”

“Is there a way to fix this?” Yan asked curiously.

“Not really, you can just wait it out. Two months, give it that much time and your current strength should double, maybe even triple.” The admin told Yan.

“Two months is a long time.” Yan complained.

“Two months is short. Legends aren’t created overnight, it takes time.”

“That’s true, but still doesn’t explain my stamina.”

“Thats your fault, train harder. It is easier to control a power inside you than control something that you know nothing about.”

Yan sighed as he opened his eyes.

He still couldn’t accept it. In all the novels he read before, there was nothing stated about side effects. Main Characters being weakened because they upgraded their strength too fast? That couldn’t be true.

Yan walked around the ship until he came to the cultivation room. He found Dex and Vixen both going through the cultivation books.

Dex wanted to increase his strength and be useful as fast as possible. Vixen wanted to be able to protect herself.

He didn’t say anything as he left. He thought about putting his two books inside that room as well, but opted not to. Even if he could barely cultivate, they were still useful to him. Besides, it reminded him of that old man.

Yan wanted to pay him another visit, but that would have to wait for a few months. When he did meet him again, Yan would make him join his crew.

This novel's true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there.

Yet, there was an even urgent matter that needed to be taken care of first. That was his crew. As they continue on their travels, they will come across even stronger foe. Leah might be able to handle herself, but Dex and Vixen more than likely will fail. They both needed an upgrade, and fast.

The original goal was to find an alchemist, someone who could help increase their potential. The alliance can wait a little longer, but an alchemist cannot.

Dex, the poison expert, Vixen the seductress/temporary cook, Leah the auctioneer/navigator, and Yan the captain. There were still more spots to fill, not to mention he needed more combat personnel. One cannot simply be the pirate king by himself, he needs a strong crew backing him up.

Lucky in the next town there is an auction house that Leah’s family owns. She said that there were many alchemist coming to the auction house to sell their pills, maybe they would find one.

As Yan walked around the ship, he couldn’t shake the feeling that someone was watching him. Not anyone on the ship, but someone else.

With his enhanced vision he could easily track anyone, yet this person could not be found. He thought that he was just being too cautious, but his gut was telling him something.

“Leah, that island over there.” Yan told her as he pointed his finger in a direction. “Stop there for a moment.”

Leah seemed like she wanted to ask a question, but Yan assured her that there was no need to worry.

The island was oddly shaped, it looked like a crescent moon.

Soon the ship arrived above the island and Yan descended downwards. Whatever this feeling was, he knew it was not directed at the others. Only towards himself.

They wanted a fight, then he would show them one.

Yan turned his head around casually for a moment but still didn’t see anyone. He decided to walk deeper into the island.

It was only for a split moment, but he saw it. Two eyes appeared in the air in front of him, but shortly disappeared.

Those azure eyes, he was sure that they belonged to the person watching him. But why did they let him see those eyes?

Finals are over! Short chapter. Will only make short stories from now on, long stories probably won't suit me. Releasing... releasing... the next chapter soon..

Yes, I have an idea where i'm going with this. Funny how I had a plot written out for these chapters, but when writing it they went in a different direction.

Will do a Mass release on certain days, you guys can probably figure those days out.

Thinking about keeping it simple again, no need for all the 'mysteries'.

Pace of this story will more than likely increase, got things that need to be covered.

Debating over maximum crew members, might go 6 or 10. Idk, but somewhere along those lines.

Ugh... all I have for now... still thinking about stuff.
