Chapter 26 - Arrival of the Dawn pt. 2

Four humans dressed in strange clothing walked out of the inn, the look on their faces were filled with determination. Neither looking angry, nor joyful, the expression on their faces were only filled with that, determination. What were the determined to do? That would be explained in a bit, considering the aurora they gave off.

Although the streets in this town wasn’t filled with people walking around, the few that were felt as if they were suffocating when these four came out of the Inn.

Who were these four? Why did they give off such a demeaning aurora? Why were they in such a small town? These questions and many more continued rummaging through the minds of the people who saw the four.

“I’ll go ahead.” The man who was bare chested, told the other three.

Naturally this man was none other than Yan. As for the others, did he even need to explain? It was his crew members, who would be with him on his journey to being the pirate king.

When Yan told them that, they only nodded their head. What did they have to worry about? Sure, they had a little doubt because Yan was in a rush to make an appearance, but if he was confident that he could be Te Lin, they were confident that they would win.

The muscles in his body were stronger than before as Yan’s calf muscles tightened as he pushed off the ground, shooting into the air. The ground beneath his feet had a small pit with cracks emerging. If this was still the world that Yan originally was from, if someone else witnessed this they would think he was superhuman.

His speed was crazy fast, any normal person wouldn’t be able to keep track of him with their eyes alone.

Yan in the air turned his arms into golden fire with a hint of purple. He did feel strange, as it felt like his transformation was different from before. The details from the flames seemed to match feathers of the phoenix. From afar if one didn’t know this was a human, just based on the wings of flames and their detail, they wouldn’t hesitate to think this was a phoenix.

Even Yan was surprised at this transformation, it seemed that something else changed inside him. Yan couldn’t help himself from grinning as he flapped his wings and blasted off faster than one could say the word ‘Amazing’. It didn’t take long before he was  out of sight from the vision of his crew.

Leah had her own ring that held items inside it, she produced two flying swords. Since they couldn’t really fly yet, they had to rely on this to get them by.

….

“Headmaster Lin, this disciple greets you.” A young woman dressed in a tight fitting light blue robe that showed off her curves said while bowing her head.

Headmaster Lin didn’t look old, in fact if one saw him they would think he was just a middle aged man. It was something else to think that the person in front of her was a Master Sage who held power beyond anything she ever saw.

Headmaster Lin lightly laughed as he said, “Hou Li, just call me Uncle Lin.”

The young woman nodded as she said, “Uncle Lin.”

Hearing her words, Headmaster Lin couldn’t help but praise her. From her temperament to the way she carried herself, not even mentioning appearance, she was worthy of his disciple. If his disciple wasn’t worthy, then who in this entire world would be?

Thinking about it, Headmaster Lin’s face changed for only a moment as he thought about the other monsters that were allied with the alliance. Maybe if it was one of those people, Hou Li couldn’t even be considered beautiful enough to be their maid.

“Hau Hu, come and accompany Hou Li around.” Headmaster Li said to his disciple who was behind him.

A man with european features nodded his head, although he has met Hou Li a few times he still couldn’t get enough of her beauty.

At the moment, these three were in a large room filled with scented candles and a variety of different books. It was actually the main room the headmaster stayed in, and the perfect place to announce the engagement of these two.

Headmaster Lin left the room with a huge smile on his face. When he stepped outside, there was a ton of disciples below gazing up at the room. They knew what today was, and they were required to be here today.

Although they were required to be present today, most of the disciples were only in certain parts of the sect. Thus they didn’t know actually how huge the sect really was. When they came and noticed the crowd of people, they were proud to be apart of this sect.

Fame? Fortune? Cultivation? Although it was hard to gain these things in the cultivation world, they could easily show off in the world of mortals. For those that didn’t join the alliance, they would walk proudly past them! How dare they even walk down the same road as them?

Headmaster Lin walked next to the other Headmaster who was already outside the room. He was waiting on Headmaster Lin to finish with whatever he was doing before they finally settled everything.

“Headmaster Li, why the long face? This should be a joyous moment for all of us, especially you!” Headmaster Lin told Headmaster Li.

Headmaster Li shook his head slightly, “I don’t know, but I just have a bad feeling.”

“What could possibly be giving my brother a bad feeling? You just broke through and became a Master Sage, did you properly stabilize your cultivation?”

“How dare you ask me that? I’ve been doing this for years and you ask me a foolish question such as that? Pft, i’m not some child who doesn’t understand the effects of not stabilizing their cultivation.” Headmaster Li replied in a bitter tone.

“Just saying. With old age people tend to forget things.”

“Fuck, you dare call me old? Fine, this matter can be settled later, first we must announce the engagement.” Headmaster Li took his attention off of Headmaster Lin and looked down at the disciples. “Thank you all for being here today on such a wonderful occasion. As many of you know or have heard, your elder sister Hou Li is getting engaged to your new elder brother Hau Hu. First I would like to say a few word-”

“Please do, as those words will be your last.” A cold voice called out.

Everyone couldn’t help but turn their attention to the owner of that voice, however when they looked up they only saw a blaze of golden light. It was very attracting, and made many hearts skip a few beats.

Headmaster Lin and Li had other thoughts though, someone dared to interrupt them? Someone trespassed into their sect on such a day? Who fucking dares?

“No last words?” The voice asked as the blazing bright light sped down at the crowd of disciples.

As the blaze got closer, the disciples could feel the immense heat, it caused them to sweat bullets. The blaze was bright enough that they had to close one of their eyes just to see what was going on.

Before they even found out what was happening, a thundering crash could be heard as wind dispersed the disciples. Dust blew past, as a fiery crater was made. There was only one body in the crater, and it surely did not belong to the other disciples. How could they possibly know such a thing? Simple, this person was naked.

As Yan shot a death gaze at the two headmasters, his hand grabbed on to the Wado Ichimonji that was at his side. This wasn’t the one Zoro used anymore, it had be tempered by Whitebeards Devil Fruit, so the destruction of his blade couldn’t even be imagined.

Watching Yan holding onto the handle of his sword, the disciples and the headmasters finally realized what happened. Everything was settled into their bodies, and they felt burning rage!

“Kill that bastard!”

“You fucking dare?”

Fueled by their rage, the surrounding disciples couldn’t help but rush towards Yan who was standing still. However unlike the disciples, the two headmasters had other thoughts going on.

A normal cultivator would indeed be fueled by rage and attack the person who killed their loved ones, brothers and sisters, or any kin. However these two headmasters had been through their fair share of battles, and knew that, that wasn’t the way to go at first.

What caught their eye was the fact that Yan was not a cultivator, but he was able to kill hundreds in one swoop. This would be impossible under normal circumstances, and even if someone was capable of doing such a feat, they would likely only pull it off once.

Still, to the eyes of any experienced cultivator, a mortal who could kill hundreds of cultivators in one blow was something that needed explaining. How did he do such a thing? Was it possible for them to use the method he used to increase his strength as their own to upgrade their cultivation? In the minds of these two headmasters, Yan’s appearance held many mysteries with it. This wasn’t a simple matter of someone killing disciples.

Yan didn’t know what those two were thinking, he would be stupid to think that they let their guard down. His appearance probably caused their senses to shoot up to the limit, so he had to be careful of his next move.

Yan’s eyes moved like the wind, quickly examining the incoming mob of disciples that were rushing at him. Some of them were on the level of Leah, however many of them were way below that.

The things he heard, what he saw, it all came back to him when he faced these disciples. To them, maybe it seemed like he was killing without a cause, which was good on his behalf for raising his name. However to him, this killing meant something else.

With his grip tightening around the sword, he steadied his stance and pulled the sword out. It was surprising hard to pull out, the sword didn’t want to budge one inch. However as he pulled it, it slowly came out, but along with that came a force that tried to keep the sword in its sheath.

The muscles on his arm exploded as he used everything he had to unsheath the sword.  No wonder he was called the strongest man, Yan thought to himself.

As the sword came out inch by inch, transparent cracks appeared in the air. It didn’t seem like others would be able to see it, but Yan could. Just seeing this only made him grin harder. It made him excited to see what exactly would happen next.

Grunting, The Wado Ichimonji made its way out of the sheath. The cracks in the air exploded into pieces like broken glass.

The rushing disciples felt strange as if everything around them was distorting. The ground beneath them suddenly looked like it was cut into stairs, and the buildings looked as if they were blocks. Before they had the time to take it all in, everyone of them coughed up massive amounts of blood and their eyes went white.

To them, when Yan was unsheathing his sword it was only a split moment, however to Yan, it felt like a few minutes.

Witnessing the damage of Whitebeards devil fruit powers with ones own eyes was entirely different from watching the anime.

“Amazing!” Yan cried out.

This was just him unsheathing the sword, if he actually used it to perfection, who knew what type of damage he would be able to cause. He might even be able to destroy the world!

Headmaster Lin and Li had a drop of blood emerge from the edge of their mouths. They were further away from the attack, but they still felt it! It was as if their insides were getting torn apart, and parts of their body was cut off.

“What type of magic is this?” Headmaster Li asked as he wiped the blood from his mouth.
