Laying down in the soft grass gazing up at the blue sky and white clouds was a young man. His hands behind his head as he let the wind sweep past his bare chest. Next to him was an orange hat.
“Yan, what are you thinking about?” A sweet voiced called out to him.
Tilting his head back, he caught a woman wearing a short velvet dress. It was tight fitting showing off all her curves. At first, he did not want to buy more clothes, but he couldn’t stand the sight of his crew wearing the same thing like everyone else.
They were hesitant at first, but slowly came to terms with it. The outfit was the same one Baby 5 from One piece wore, and with her looks it made it even more perfect.
“Nothing Leah. Is the food done?” He asked her.
She giggled, “Is that all you ever think about?”
“Of course not! It has already been a week since we left Shing City, but there were countless people aiming for our ship. Do you know how much this thing cost? Like hell I would let them take it!”
During the week they left Shing City, there were many watchful eyes. They all had an urge to take over his ship, but he couldn’t let them. Therefore, he fought them all, and won.
There was one older man who he couldn’t kill, but he didn’t lose either. Yan got off with a few wounds, but he ran out of energy to continue battling. Because of the phoenix powers, his healing ability far surpasses that of others. The old man had cuts and burns all over his body, but he still had energy left for a few more rounds. He would have been more than willing to continue fighting Yan for his ship, but his energy was low and he couldn’t defend against the Sage realm expert with Yan. Thus, he fled.
Yan learned from her that he was a low ranking Master Sage, and that he probably just broke through. She said after the old man stabilized his Qi, that Yan wouldn’t be able to fight him to a standstill.
It was only then that he learned he wasn’t all that strong. Maybe if he had more energy, he could have won. Except, he didn’t. If he put his strength into the realms in this world, he would be considered a person who is just below a Low ranking Master Sage.
How could he, the person who is going to be Pirate King accept such a thing? Thankfully Leah was here with him and she taught him ways that he could increase his cultivation strength.
He wasn’t talented in cultivation, he was actually below average having no talent in cultivation whatsoever. If he didn’t have a Devil Fruit, then he wouldn’t be as strong as he was today.
During the first few days on the ship, they each explored the giant island. More than five hundred rooms that could be filled with people. Five different kitchens, a study, and a map room. Thanks to Leah’s advice, he was able to customize the ship even further adding a room big enough to hold five different master arrays. A medical room, and a cultivation room for others to cultivate in.
These rooms were empty now, because they didn’t have a person who could make arrays for them. No medic to use the medical room, and they needed at least four Sage’s to be able to make a special array for the cultivation room.
Once the special array was finished, it would help increase the cultivation speed.
Leah told him that this ship was weak and that the weapons here wouldn’t do enough damage to other cultivators ships. It was a good start for a base, but it still needed to be built upon to make it better.
She knew what Cannons were, but said if the cannons on this ship were to be used, it would only be good enough to kill a low ranking magical beast. It was best to have magical beast cannons on the ship instead.
She gave Yan a list of things that needed to be done before they came across a strong cultivator who had a ship of their own.
When all that was finished, Yan decided that they should come up with different names. That way, it would be faster when speaking to each other, and no one would be able to make out their identities.

Why would they want to change their names? Their parents named them, so it meant a great amount to them. However, Yan then gave them multiple reasons as to why it was needed and they reluctantly agreed to it.
Yan D. Yu’s name was shortened up to Yan. Miss Chun was now Leah, Fa Fing was Dex, and Mi Li (Prisoner) is now named Vixen. Naturally Yan came up with these names, based on how he felt.
He called Mi Li Vixen because of how he met her, that was the only reason. As for Miss Chun, she looked like a model from his world named Leah Smitterson. Fa Fing reminded him of an old movie where the doctor was killing his patients with poison, thus naming him Dex.
“So, have you thought about what I told you?” Leah asked him as she leaned against a rock.
“Yeah, i’ve given it some thought. You really think we should find an alchemist?”
She nodded. “Yes, it isn’t only for you, but for all of us. With me and you fighting on the front lines, that would leave Dex and Vixen behind with no power to protect themselves. If we can get an alchemist, they’ll be able to make us cultivation pills which will increase our strength! It is a must.”
Leah has been bugging him about finding an alchemist for the longest time now, but he didn’t know if they were all that important. Currently they were just flying around with no direct destination, so he could afford to get one. Besides Leah bugging him about getting an alchemist, she was usually easy to get along with.
He did have to admit she was right on a lot of things. She knew more about this world than he did, and her cultivation base was higher than his. Even Dex called her a genius, but Yan didn’t believe him. When he first met Dex, he told him he was a genius doctor.
A kid who calls himself a genius doctor without even being a doctor? What type of genius was that?
Yan jumped up, grabbed his hat and threw it on. “Vixen is coming.”
Leah turned her head, and there she was coming out of the kitchen door with a giant fork in hand. Yan was lucky, he didn’t know that he picked up a prize as a prisoner. She knew her way around the kitchen, which meant he had a way to fill his stomach.
In Shing City, her cooking skills would compare with a three star restaurant. Eating food like that everyday was not bad at all.
“I still don’t understand how you do that.” Leah told him.
Yan smiled, “Maybe you’ll be able to as well.”
When he said that, he meant it. If his crew could learn some kind of Haki, then he would be more than ecstatic.
“Foods done!” She yelled out at them, before turning around going back into the kitchen.
Yan did miss Yu Ying and her daughter, but he wasn’t willing to take them with him. In this world, on his adventure, he wouldn’t take any chances. Although it wasn’t long, those two left an impression on him. He couldn’t afford them being caught up in the fights, they were only mortal after all.
Although Vixen seemed like a mortal, she wasn’t. She was a low ranking Entry realm cultivator. She had a background story to tell as well, but she didn’t seem she wanted to share it with them.
Leah told him that if they found an array master who had reached the seventh rank in forming arrays, they could form a protection array around the ship. An eight rank array master could inscribe inscriptions on people. Yan hoped he could meet one of them soon, because he felt a strange urge to have Yu Ying and her daughter on board.
Maybe it was because Yu Ying was a mother, and he missed that kind of feeling. He didn’t know what kind of feeling it was he had towards them. However, he knew that they would meet each other again.
