My name is Richard Cunningham and I'm an alchemist... actually, I'm one of the top ten alchemists' in the kingdom of Arafes. Number four to be exact. And, I'm training some useless nobles the way of alchemy... they're all incredibly bad at this. And since I was born a commoner, they all look down on me.
"No Arthur! Not the snow leaves! That will cause a frost bolt to come out of the cauldron if you combine it with steel grass!" I shouted at one of the noble children Arthur.
"Oh! Cool!" He said as he put the snow leaves in the cauldron. Causing a reaction within, as a bolt of ice came out of the cauldron, almost hitting the idiot in the face.

"Aah!" He screamed in terror.
'Useless fucking idiots. The lot of them!' I thought.
"Why didn't you warn me about the Ice Bolt!?" Arthur shouted at me in accusation.
"Wha-" I got interrupted.
"Guards! Kill this commoner!" Arthur shouted.
"Wait! Wha-" I got interrupted again.
"As you wish, m'lord" A guard from outside said as he drew his sword and sliced me in two.
...
"W-where am I? What happened?" I asked.
"You, young one. Are in the void, I'm Lakurn and I want your help" A man in pitch black armor sitting on a throne of various skulls. And there was a man standing next to him pouring mana into his body. The man in black armor said in a calm tone.
"What do I get out of this?" I asked.
"I will give you as many alchemical ingredients as you wish" He said.
"Deal" I said in an instant.
"Good! Ha Ha Ha! This is going to be great!" Lakurn said with a wide grin.
