POV Mercy
I had Devas supporters on my head, when Huntress took some mission with others. It wasn’t so complicated. We had talkers, authorities, influencers, that gave their performances for lokas, other circle of our supporters and for fresh people, that were interested in our ideology. We weren’t popular in main medias, as current ideo was to eat grass and move fair less than you could. If you became ugly or too fat from that, ideo said, that you couldn’t be pointed with finger, as it was improper behavior. Laughable as it was, War-Saw was European capital, so lot of that was promoted with strange money sources. On the other side War-Saw have lots of bike paths and lot of people use them. Ideo was shared because of money, but very few believed in it. They believed in money though. As long as you paid, they would confirm, that they believed. It was characteristic of Pole people, we got after years under Russian occupation after second world war. We saw the point in that strategy against opponents, that had advantage over us. Russians had guns to oppress us. Ideo had money to oppress us. We confirmed everything they wanted us to confirm, then we did, what we always do without taking under consideration, what they wanted.
So, we got supporters, that weren’t fooled by ideo. It helped a lot. We mainly had people, that believed in results. They had level of self-dependence and were thinking for themselves. We also got those, that were disappointed after flirting with ideo for some time. Those disappointed tried to do things that were contradicting ideo and we needed to work on them and explain to them, that changing from one extreme to contradicting other extreme wasn’t good solution.
Luckily, that was our main trouble in work. Middle circle of awoken was supervised with more Devas on line. Me, Mirror and Luigi were mainly working with outer circle. In fact, when I disregarded, that I needed be under phone all the time and sometimes, I had to work in unusual hours, I had quite a lot of free time. I spent that time with mirror, if I could. We used some of money we got to help our parents. We practically lived in War-Saw and in place we had our bio-stones. We took care of our health as it was lot easier, when we saw on stats page what was working, what wasn’t. We spent lot of our time on shopping sprees, sometimes with Lily. We went to cinemas and theaters. We looked through events and chose some. We had easy money. Easy money weights almost nothing, so it moves with the wind. We were glued to that money, so we moved with the wind too. Till wind wretched banknotes from our hands. Then we looked around and saw, that we didn’t go to some successful point, just found ourselves in some random location. But maybe we needed that dancing on wind. Mirror had some trauma in her. I felt lot better than she, but shadow of that trauma was on me too, as I was her sister.
I would say, we were wasting lot of our time. But what could I do otherwise? I wasn’t some visionary, as Nameless or Huntress. Huntress always knew, what to do in case of PR problems. I wasn’t some passionate person about hobby as Smoke or Sith. I even wasn’t ambitious as Hail. I just wanted to live my life and do right stuff. Care for my closest relatives. Nicely spend time. I wasn’t even so much into bio-stones stuff anymore. I just sailed through days, because weather created wind for my sail. In fact others were marking directions, I just followed.
POV Pine
I was taking care of Rook. I promised Devas, that I would stop Rook from contacting Diana. Otherwise, they would react and devaluate Rook to Neutral Devas or would imprison him even. My mine task those days were to support Lily and negotiate with corporation. We divided our trade routes. One through pharmacy and Tom was trusted. Second, through military to international corporation was risky and troublesome one. I wasted much of my time talking with military and corporation. They tried powerplays, blackmails and bribery. They always had something to say. If I wasn’t one of Devas, they would break my will long time ago. It was tiring, that constant scuffle. I had some days off few times and others tried to do my job, but they were infuriated lot faster than I. I was the best there, they said.
That way I got their help with case of Rook psychotic status. They were grateful with me being business consultant of kind. They would do lot for me, if in exchange they weren’t obligated to take shift in this business consulting thing. I got some of them to visit Rook on weekly basis. Someone needed to check on him when I was working, I pointed to them.
Sith bugged Rook and his laptop. Lynx built higher fences around his farm and talked with him sometimes. Others talked with him periodically. Except those that had running project around. I thought, that through talks, meeting, we could fix his mental problems. I remembered him before times of Ahriman’s Order. He was logical one, not clouded one as he was at the time after. Topics around Diana made him think as he was idiot. I was aware. I was losing hope too. It could be, that he couldn’t be healed, as mental injuries were sometimes hard to treat.
One talk Rook had with Oldman reignited my hope, that my nephew wasn’t case of lost time and money.
POV Oldman
Pine asked me to visit his nephew. Guy was somehow mentally ill after he was part of villain Diana organization. I heard some shortened story about Ahriman’s Order, but it seemed to farfetched for me to believe it. I agreed to visit Rook anyway.
He was living on farm, that looked more like prison than farm.
I met with Adam, Rook, in house. I joined him during lunch. He seemed very unfocused. He was young, so I thought, that he had time to recover. He asked me to play checkers against him, as it was his new hobby. We played few times. I asked him about some matters, that seemed painful for him. He almost ran from me. He asked, why I was interested in those dark moments. I was retired policeman, I would be always interested in dark matters.

We had a deal. He would tell me about Ahriman’s Order times. I would tell him, how deranged it was from point of view of law or police, but I wouldn’t share info with law or police. I agreed.
I wasn’t psychotherapist, but it almost looked as if I was. I stayed at desk. He half lied on his recliners. He started his story from big meeting on Mokotov field. I heard about murders and violence and I couldn’t believe. I asked some question. He gave me some answers, but those were childish. Even he didn’t know, why they were agreeing to become cultists so easy. He told me, how they mass murdered people in Ahriman’s Order future headquarters. I told him to stop. There was silence as I was thinking, what I should tell him. Didn’t he know, that they were killing living, conscious people there? I felt anger. If I didn’t know, that there was more to that story, I would found some gun or even axe and killed him.
-= You know, - I started. – there was very few of serial killers in history of Poland. Till nowadays people were living too close to each other, to let serial killer grow in numbers.
-= You think, I’m serial killer? – He asked.
-= Wait a minute, I will get there. Another reason is, that policemen had silent permission to kill one on spot, if they knew, it was serial killer. Even under Russian occupation we did that. Even more, when memorandum on capital punishment was introduced.
-= I don’t understand.
-= It’s easy. You can pay for one, maybe two lives with your life and that way, we have justice done. When you killed more, there is no way, you could atone. So, your life is worth less than zero. Each second you exist is insult on society. We just kill those, because we don’t want any more resources, time and money, be spent on those people.
-= Do you want to kill me?
-= Yes. – I was honest.
He sat up. He looked at me. He saw anger in my eyes and tense body. Fear brought focus.
-= My uncle wouldn’t forgive you then.
-= But Diana would.
He cracked. He really had hole in his mind around Diana. He had tears in his eyes.
-= Would she? – I pushed.
-= Yes, she would forgive you for killing me. Maybe even praised you. – He said with tears.
-= They was right. You were pawn of Diana.
-= I wasn’t. I chose to do her orders myself.
-= I will tell you something in secret, ok?
-= O. k.
-= I will kill you, if you won’t become independent, human being, till the moment I will kill Diana.
-= What? You! You want to kill Diana! It can’t happen, she is stronger than we together. Ancient stone rules are guarding her.
-= Yea, yea. Tell this to police snipers.
He silenced himself. It was valid solution for bug, which Diana was. Whatever that hole in his mind was doing, it did all in interest of Diana.
-= Call it off or I will attack you. – He was excited. I knew, he only had one magic ability, plasma ball.
-= Try it.
He jumped in my direction. I shot him with lightning. He spasmed on the floor. He started plasma ball lying. I poured out jug of water from kitchen on his face. His plasma ball went down and burned his hand. He screamed. It was stupid in the first place to use plasma ball in enclosed room. He erased plasma from hand plasma with clothes. It was burned seriously anyway. I had enough time to prepare second shot of lightning. He lost consciousness. I put him in armchair and waited till he woke up.
-= Nice to have you back. – I said, when I saw, that he was aware.
-= Why are you still here?
-= I sent message to kill Diana as serial murderer to my police colleagues. I wanted to tell you, that your time is limited.
He looked deflated.
-= What I need to do to live? – He asked. There was some urge to live in him, it seemed.
-= You need to get into Unlimited Devas ranks.
-= Why? It isn’t connected to my guilt.
-= You can’t raise dead, but you can help living.
I left him with that and went back. I called his uncle and told, what I did. He didn’t look to be angry at me. He seemed to be more interested, if Rook would try to become Unlimited Deva.
There was one more thing I wanted to know. History Rook told me was so fucked up, that I needed to hear it from more than one source. I asked if Pine could tell me his part of cultists story. He said, that he was thrown there in the middle, but agreed to tell, what he knew. I needed more witnesses. I was angry. Angry at Diana, angry at cultists, angry at Devas, that they didn’t finish those people. Pine warned, that I should talk with Nameless or Huntress, before I would do something, that would involve police or people outside Devas.
I couldn’t get into contact with Nameless or Huntress at that moment. I was contacted by Sith, that asked me for dinner and talk.
We met in War-Saw. Sith would be seen as ordinary human from looks, but his aura proved otherwise. We sat in garden before restaurant. We took our orders.
-= There are few things you should understand. – He went to center of this matter. – We are bound by our bio-stones. We were under their influence for longer period of time. You have at this moment non repeatable chance to do something, before your stone will create such ties as Rook have for Diana.
-= You are saying, that you are manipulated by your bio-stones. Is it true?
-= Some are more, some are less, but it’s our price for golden cages. You have probably week or two after you will get your stone from military and you will be just like us.
-= Why are you telling me this?
-= Nameless is working on his way to go around those ties, I’m working on my way. I suppose, you are experiment, where I check, how much freedom I have.
-= I don’t understand.
-= I bugged you. You probably will act against common wealth of bio-stones in near future. Will my bio-stone make me stop you or can he only act directly against me? What do you think?
-= You are insane.
-= Those, that try to be great need to break limit of sanity at some point, even for a moment, otherwise they can’t be great.
-= Some ancient philosopher?
-= Palpatine.
-= Don’t know that one.
That was all. We ate. I had time for thinking. There was no way we would talk more about topic of my response to Ahriman’s Order crimes. He wanted me to know, that I shouldn’t be obvious with things I wanted to do and that I shouldn’t share. I appreciated, that he found way to warn me, that I shouldn’t depend on Devas in that matter.
-= Thank you, very good meal. – I said.
-= You’re welcome. Maybe another time you could show me something good. – He said. I smiled.
There was nothing left to say. I had more than one issue from that moment, but I went for one at time.
