“This awful world…” He muttered while sitting weakly at the street end. Behind him was an abandoned construction site. This was his usual place because very few wander around.
“Hey, what are you saying?” But a sudden shout interrupted his thoughts.
Tocho turned around and saw three girls of varying ages. He frowned but the one in the middle pulled his collar.
She snarled. “If you want to die, don’t do it here! Hmph!”
“Sister, don’t hurt him.” A second girl intervened. She had an innocent face and was quite a chubby beauty.
“You are really…” The first girl didn’t know what to say. “Don’t forget, if something happens here, the orphanage won’t be constructed here!”
The last and the tallest girl approached. “Are you alright? My sister is just worried. Pardon our recklessness.”
“I know. We all have difficulties.” Tocho smiled in understanding. But from the girl's perspective, it was so ugly as if he was on verge of crying!
“Men don’t cry!” The first girl grabbed Tocho.
The second sister held his hands. “Don’t cry. Don’t cry.”
Both Tocho and the last girl covered their face.
