The Edgelands (Western Lumina) - The Scorched Bow (Formerly the Bow)

THIRD PERSON POV

Nothing remained of the once magnificent forest. The Bow was gone. Not even Scorched trees survived the fires. Ash and burned wood littered the area. Forming a bow shape for leagues. The scent of ash and ruin lingered in the air.

Energy gathered fast, a blueish-gray mist that congregated at a spot so fast it was a blink. Then the energy popped and Hildelith stood there. Her boots sank into ash and crushed weak dead wood. She took a good look around them and sighed.

'Akasha. Unless my dear Freyja is ash...' she looked at what her foot had crushed. '...and burned out wood, then I'm pretty sure this is not where I want to be'.

'You did ask for where I dropped her'. The Force pointed out. Hildelith sighed. Both she and the force were fatigued. Her more than the literal A.I or more than A.I. It was understandable to her why both were so snappy. All the workload they'd pushed to now had weighed on them and it wasn't even half done.

"I'm definitely getting a long sleep after this". She muttered. "Take me to her". Hildelith didn't bother with any other words, she was more than tired. Mentally at least.

Energy burst once more and Hildelith found herself inside a town. It had this medieval sense to it. Like they were close to an iron age but not quite there. The village looked shaken by something and yet joyful. Walking through the crowds she could hear and see their excitement at something. They were also wary for some reason.

'Freyja being Freyja'. Akasha supplied.

Hildelith didnt have to ask or wonder as she stepped past a group of Moonborns and found the brat. The face wasn't one she would normally recognize but the personality was, the feeling was. It just felt like her.

She kept walking. All she had to do was grab the girl and then whisk her back to the spirit realm. Her fatigue made thinking hard, if not she'd have realized she could just have Akasha whisk the girl away. The Force herself was not interested in reminding the Creator of her capabilities. She was resigned to watch.

Then the girl in question turned. Her conversation with a wide-eyed duo ceased as she slowly tilted her head. Both noticed and were already watching with confused expressions. But it was the other group to the right that caught Hildelith's attention.

The male was fixated on her. His eyes flickered from Freyja to her. In a way, it was clear who she was headed for. So it didn't come as much surprise to her when the male took a step in her path.

'Oh, this will be fun'. Hildelith ignored the force in her head. There were so many things she could do. Even as she drew closer she found herself thinking of ways to disarm him and bring him to the ground.

'Oh. You might wanna...'

The words were cut short as Freyja finally found her mother. The girl squealed in delight as she sensed that same energy from the lady heading for them. It was a feeling that she couldn't quite measure.

"Mama". And she dashed past Eldrin and straight into Hildelith's grasp.

The crowd was silent now. No one was even capable of murmuring or whispering as they stared with wide eyes.

"Did she say, mama?". One of the two wide-eyed youths Freyja had been talking to found his voice.

"I heard same".

"Mama. I missed you. It's so exciting here. Come come. I have a lot of mortals for you to meet. It's so beautiful here. There was Fire and it was so large, beautiful, and wild but the Moonborns were terrified of it so I had to take it out. Oh, oh meet my new pets".

Hildelith found herself dragged to a litter of large beasts. Their manes looked like it was on fire but it wasn't. Hildelith blinked as Freyja began listing off names while pointing from one cat to the other.

" This is Lyrianre, Theirmisel, Gureial, Imtrils, and Serils. Theirmisel is female and she has cubs. Isn't that awesome? I wonder if I should let Bosco into one of her unborn cubs. Momma, was it hard to birth us? Did it hurt? They say childbirth is hard. Can I nullify the pain? Please please, please. Can you help me?"

At this point, Hildelith was torn between a smile and unsure of what next to say. Luckily a cough saved her from any answer. Both entities turned to find an Old Male standing behind them.

" My Lady. Is she your mother? Like your mother the Creator or ..."

" Yes. Ma this is Rendi. He had a nasty soul stain so I cleared it and gave him a blessing. He's all good now. Rendi this is Ma. Yes she made everything ". Freyja proceeded to drag a still-silent Hildelith to the next figure. " This is Eldrin ma he's so brave and so cool and so good at using swords. I like him ma. Can he be my husband, Themeriel says when a ..."

" MWho are these other nice people my dear?" Hildelith interrupted quickly pushing the girl forward. Passing the man she held back her glare on seeing the frozen terror on his face.

'Good he's sufficiently scared'.

'I could throw in a curse. Make sure he's sufficiently sick. Or link his Fate thread on a bad path. Maybe get him scarred and killed by the Flamestriders. Or...'

'Akasha. I can only hear one singing voice in my ear at a moment'.

'Oh right'.

"...Alarion is such a brave Moonborn too. You know he tried to take on a Flamestrider head-to-head. It was so amazing to watch. Themeriel got hurt badly saving him too. I think he wants her to be his wife".

The said Moonborn was already turning rose red which was a feat given how pale Moonborns were. The fenale had a rigid face though her eyes shivered when Hildelith moved past her.

"Oh ma did i tell you the best news. I made a religion. They serve me now".

At this point, Hildelith finally found a way to get into the talking. "That's so nice. I'm proud of you. You do have to take care of all of them though and make sure to answer their prayers and guide them well".

The girl's head was bobbing seriously. "I know. I know. That's why I gave all of them a blessing".

Hildelith froze. Akasha's humming voice in her head vanished. Freyja had the greatest beaming smile of the Realion(Century).

The author's tale has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.

"You did....what?".

"I gave them all blessings". If possible her smile grew wider.

"All of them". Hildelith was really hoping it was an exaggeration.

"Every last person".

'Akasha?'

'What?. It happened. It's her blessings'. The force sounded defensive.

Hildelith turned slowly taking a look at everyone in the town. Most looked away in some shame while others not sure what was wrong just avoided her eyes but kept looking. Hildelith held back a sigh.

"Ma. Most of them are stuck at that last rank thing. What was it called again?. Karen. Kha'ren. Yes. Kha'ren. How do I make them go higher?".

Hildelith admitted at that moment. She had wonderful children.

Mother and daughter floated side by side as she dropped the next template. Hildelith had come to realize what she actually needed after all the setting things up was a bit of rest and taking her mind off the work. No one better than Freyja to do that. The little flower danced along the realm as she admired everything. Each time she reappeared next to her mother chatting her ear off.

As a Moonborn she was cute but she was darn more cuter in Djun true form. Her little girl body made it doubly so.

"Woah mama. It's amazing!". Freyja exclaimed as the Soul Temple shook the realm with its manifestation. The little Djun's eyes were wide as saucers. Her palms clapped as her claws made clink sounds.

The soul temple was unlike the other monuments as it wasn't tall. But it was large. Its main features were a single-ring structure held up over a valley by two mountains that were half mountain and half walls. Below it sat its other half where a stream flowed from the north to the south and vice versa. Crossing through a yin-yang-like pool at the center of the monolith.

Like in all the realms, an atmosphere formed that blocked off the nothingness. It was nice to see the look in Freyja's eyes.

"My place is so beautiful now ma". She cooed. "My temple is beautiful too. Lots of beds to sleep in".

Hildelith blinked. " Uh uh. You and your siblings have rooms in the palace".

The Djun blinked. " Then what are all the beds for?". She exclaimed. Even her shouting was cute Hildelith observed. With a grin, she shook her head.

"Do you want to know that or do you want to see your humans before time runs further?". Freyja's eyes widened. Due to the flow of the river time was different which mother had explained to her. Just this little time could be long for the mortals.

"Send me back".

Hildelith shook her head in amusement as Akasha sent the little spirit back to her Moonborn avatar.

'Well, the Moonborns may now speak of the day the Creator walked amongst them'. Akasha piped.

I scoffed.

I was done here. Everything that needed to be arranged here was arranged. What was left were the other things.

"The creatures of the spheres?".

'All spawned'.

"The void of space and others".

'Done'.

"So it's time to join the Delwarf". She muttered with a grin. The previous excitement she she felt excitement. "One last thing. FAYHEIM".

Third Sphere - Nothingness

Location - The Lunar Palace

Thargrim Firefrost held up the ingot of Helioforge steel in his left hand. The piece was a golden yellow ore from the deepest bowels of the Sol. Or at least that was what the mind speaking and words in his vision entity informed him of.

Thargrim didn't care. He had his task and he was eager to fulfill. He was excited to see what it would come out as. He'd been working with Voidstones, Abayssalites, and others since. This was the first actual armor he was making after making various trinkets and nonimportant items.

The voice in his head had spoken to him at length. He and his brothers had a grand take before them. Not one that was immediate but one that was eternal. Their task was simple. To always have something to grant any who deserved a reward.

Thargrim didn't quite understand it. But the voice had explained. They were to craft and fill the armory z the warehouse and all rooms not being used for other utilities with stocks of items. From weapons to gears and useful or useless items. Because the mother's universe would be needing it and more.

Luckily the system had assured him of not needing to do the distribution. The Delwarf was glad as he was interested in only making things. He could feel it in his sizzling blood. The desire to shape and create. He took a look at his hammer for the umpteenth time. Its creation had been a frightening yet exciting moment as the voice kept popping in any and everything he needed that didn't exist in the storage for him.

Frostwood for the handle. The voice had mentioned something about the Glacial environment being resource-rich Obsidian for the head. He'd made the wrapping of the handle with some nothingness flesh that had appeared when requested while binding the head to the handle with Celestial silver wire. The Obsidian had been Primordial ice which he'd sensed the moment it appeared. Unable to shape it with heat he'd instead done so with his ice and then created some fire inlays within the head for better heat or cold channeling before fitting the hammer and the wire to complete it.

He wasn't the only one as all his brothers held the same hammer. With the same materials and the same success. They were just that good.

**Template of the Delwarf's Forging Hammer**

**Name:** Firefrost

**Weapon - Primordial Hammer

**Origin:**

Forged by the Delwarf, beings of Primordial Fire and Ice Core The hammer is a manifestation of their elemental powers and unmatched blacksmithing skill. Created with their bare hands, the hammer is an extension of their very essence.

**Materials:**

**Head:** Obsidian Ice with Fire Inlays

**Handle:** Frostwood wrapped in Nothingness Leather

**Binding:** Celestial Silver

**Appearance:**

**Hammer Head:**

**Core:** The central core of the hammer head is made of obsidian, a Glacial ore formed underneath the Glacius' most intense colds. This core is solid and jet black, with a glossy surface that dimly reflects the surrounding light.

**Inlays:** Embedded within the obsidian are veiny fire paths. These inlays form intricate patterns, reminiscent of flowing magma, which let fire energy flow through when the hammer is in use.

**Handle:**

- **Material:** The handle is carved from Frostwood, a rare and resilient wood found only in the Glacial. Frostwood has a pale dark blue hue and a texture that feels cool and hard to the touch.

- **Wrapping:** The handle is wrapped in strips of Delwarf nothingness flesh. Material sourced from the hides of creatures that roam the void of space. This leather has a slight iridescence, shifting colors subtly as it catches the light.

**Binding:**

- **Material:** Celestial Silver is used to bind the head to the handle. This metal is not only beautiful but also incredibly strong, able to withstand the elemental forces channeled through the hammer while also boosting it.

#### **Magical Properties:**

- **Elemental Resonance:** The hhammerheadresonates with both extreme heat and intense cold, mirroring the Delwarf's nature. When struck, it can imbue the metal with the elemental properties of his chosen.

**Energy Release:** When the Delwarf's skin cracks and releases waves of Primordial Fire, the hammer absorbs this energy, amplifying its power. Simultaneously, the Ice Core within him breathes out an icy breath that is used to cool down his work or flows through the Frostwood handle to imbue ice properties.

**Adaptive Shape:** The hammer can subtly change its shape, size, length, and weight to suit different forging tasks, from broad, heavy strikes to delicate, precise taps, or crushing bangs, each responding to the Delwarf's intent.

And with this, he had brought forth various items and would bring forth even better ones.

All the while Thargrim has spent admiring his hammer had been to let the Helioforge steel being heated in his left hand get hot enough. As a material formed in the Sol's intense heat, it needed something more to even touch its melting point and make it malleable. Primordial Fire. Luckily the ore had not inherited a resistance to that.

He set the steel on the anvil and began hammering it into the rough shape of the armor piece in mind. For a breastplate, he started with a flat piece and gradually curved it to fit the contours of the body. As he worked he was sure to keep the ingot heated enough to keep it malleable.

The work went on for a while before he got to the gauntlets or greaves, shaping them into cylindrical forms. Regularly, he reheated the steel to keep it malleable as he worked. Soon he was done. Setting the hammer to the side while moving away from the table he held the armor up and blew a thick gout of mist on it.

Once it was cooled down he got to work smoothing it down with some rocks he found in the warehouse. By this time the armor looked complete and Thargrim stepped back to admire it.

"I like". He almost jumped as the mother's voice came from behind him. Her blue orbs stared into his. "Also that hammer. It looks remarkable. Can I get one?".
