Universal Makeover III

Universal Makeover III

'After realizing about Lilithra I've been thinking of ways to shore up the inevitable black spots that might occur for me'.

Hildelith listened with rapt attention while her back leaned into the stalactites that formed the backrest on her throne while the Akashic the force on her lap talked.

'So I figured if I can't see something why not find it another way? A way to know it's there even if I'm not sure of what I'm looking at'.

Hildelith was thinking hard. The answer to their problems was right before her but it failed to make sense like a word at the time of her tongue but unable to just spit it out.

'Why don't we create an avenue to make events and scenarios that might do something we dislike less probable? And at the same time have a way to know where something is coming from and where it will lead to'.

It clicked.

Hildelith didn't shoot out of her throne or laugh or even sigh in relief, she just relaxed. An idea or thought suddenly making sense to her was something she really appreciated. A lot of things would have been harder for her if it didn't work that way.

"Akasha". She picked up the force and set her on her shoulder before getting off the throne. "We're going to make this work". The force frowned first unsure as to why exactly the Creator seemed assured. A quick link and she had a smile on her cheeks.

Neither of the two was in any way more relaxed though. Unlike any of the other times when they found a problem and decided it could be fixed later or could create something that would be used later, this was not the case now.

Akasha flew off the Creator's shoulder and back a bit so both were staring at the other.

'The same way you made me?'. She asked with a bit of worry.

'I was hoping it would work differently'.

Hildelith activated a skill that had not been used since she received it. True it had not been that long but with all the events that went down she felt like years had passed.

**System Creator**

You can create and develop a system that works on specific rules and regulations for either worlds, groups, or specific individuals.

It was like Akasha had said back in the Rifts. Having a skill meant nothing if you'd never used it. And right now Hildelith could see the how. There was a lot of knowledge and information. From the how, the why, the rules, the architecture, the causes, the effects, and more. A System was a wild and wide algorithm that could be unending if one wanted it.

"It's like programming but for kids". She murmured. Akasha gave her a look and then focused back on what the Creator was seeing. But unlike the Creator, she had already broken down all the information and rebuilt it up. She could see all the possibilities and capabilities of such a skill.

'And it had just been hanging there all this while. Doing nothing'. Akasha had reached a conclusion. She would use this skill well for the Creator

'I have more ideas'.

"Let's begin".

Both girls laughed.

"Alright let's do this. Create a folder on everything. Let's work to make this".

That was how the next big thing in the Star Rings Universe began its birth. Two beings, a Creator and her Force floating and walking around the Great Hall. Aetheric templates floated around them as they filled it up with scribbles and writings. The ground became a pool of mists as one used aether to draw visual representations of her work and the other used it to run equations that one didn't even begin to understand how she knew.

None of the girls knew how long it took before both stood right at the center. For Akasha, it had been tougher considering she'd had to make more calculations than Hildelith z the only reason her job had not been done sooner. For Hildelith coming up with rules and regulations, features, and descriptions on the fly was something she'd not expected. Still, it was something she was beginning to love and enjoy doing.

"Lay it out".

'First...' Akasha calmed her down. '... while going through these skills and all the possibilities applications I realized we've been lazy'.

Hildelith blinked. Her mind went to all the work they'd done, she'd done, the templates she'd created, the work Akahsa herself had done, and the work they still had to do. She blinked again.

'Hear me out'. Hildelith sighed and made a go-ahead gesture with her hand while she kept an exasperated teenager expression.

'So, we made the status of the mortals right and we already have an idea for the god's status. I was thinking we should incorporate themes from other things into this. Themes that would make those who see why they shouldn't do this or that act in certain ways'.

Hilde now had a very interested eye on the force. "I'm listening".

'Milestones. Level milestones are normal, skill milestones are normal even class milestones. But what if....'.

"We create a sort of point for this new system. One that would let the mortals have a reason, even more reason to stay in some part". She had a wide grin now. " Let's do it".

'There would also be things like achievements, and titles to showcase the figure's achievements. But the most important part of it all would be...'

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

"It's all incorporated into this one system. Like subsets of a set and even better under the Records". Hildelith raised a hand to Akasha. "Let's start. We'll talk as we work".

This was the first interesting part of creating their grand idea. The skeleton, inner structure. The computer, or system. Hildelith had a lot of thoughts about it. She could use Divinity, but that might make it seem aligned. Chaos would do the same. Any other energy she fiddled with might place it under an alignment. So she selected one energy that had never disappointed her.

Aether gathered into her palm forming a thick ball of white mist the size of a basketball. "Let's begin".

Together the two girls drew on the energy and began forming the very skeleton of the system. Was this necessary? Yes. Why?.

One of the pieces of information gleaned when the skill was activated was the need for a powerhouse. One that would hold whatever would power the system. It took several minutes to create the skeletal frame and soon it was done.

Both girls had been tempted to go the route of the ring aesthetic again but it was clear such an arrangement would make things look weird again. So they'd settled on a singular circlet. It was just like the chakrams except it had no inner handles and no division. Just a pure white band of gaps and spaces. Around it were star shapes, ring shapes, and more markings that seemed like runes but were more of a maze on the circlet than some inscription.

Akasha nodded to Hildelith. It was time for the second matter. Creating the frame was done. Now to introduce the source of power.

She shut her eyes and found the next thing. An insight.

**Insight - Spark Splitting**

You have watched and seen the One-Spark work. Its use and power still elude you yet you gain a simple inkling of basic knowledge. Splitting a spark will disengage a tiny single tendril of the One-Spark for your immediate use. Applications are left to you for discovery. Watch your head]

**Cooldown - 24 Star Rings Days**

The very understanding it came with was nothing more than a pull in her mind. Her eyes gravitated to the closest bare skin on her body. The bicep. Akasha watched as the Creator's chakram appeared in her hand and with a dazed eye lashed out on her arm.

A line of golden blood trickled from the arm.

The Chakram vanished and the hand dropped down, a finger scooping up a bit of blood. Akasha noted the daze in her eyes dim even as her fingers smeared blood on each other.

"It's hidden. Deep within my blood". The other hand drew closer, the wound in her bicep sealing shut even before her fingers touched. Then she made a grasping motion and pulled.

SIZZLE

CRACK

It was a thunderstorm at the tip of her fingers. A thunderstorm stretched into one singular tiny flicker of energy. It was like electricity, lightning, like a force of energy that couldn't be quantified. It was life and yet destruction.

Even as her fingers drew farther the singular spark stretched. Hildelith's eyes moved to the circlet floating in mid-air. Like the spark could detect its given purpose it jumped. A searing and universe-echoing bang uttered as it left her fingers and collided with the circlet. Both girls jumped in shock, then rushed forward in worry that the energy had ruined all their work.

Akasha more than Hildelith felt a sense of vacancy where the circlet was. Something that creeped her out more than anything. Arriving close the four the circlet white unharmed and if anything immensely different. The One-Spark created a visual effect, with arcs of energy dancing along the circlet. These surges of lightning-like energy illuminated the geometric patterns and symbols on the circlet, highlighting the intricate designs with flashes of brilliance.

"It looks stable".

'Yeah'.

"Next step?"

'Let's go'. The fairy pumped her arms up. Together they began another work of drawing and forging from Aether. As shown with the circlet when done with creating whatever shape they wanted. The aether condensed into solid and physical matter. It was another circlet but one larger than the first. This one was two and had a pillar along its sides that held both circlets to the other.

Taking it Hildelith let the circlet with the One spark slide into it. With a snap, the pillars seemed to tighten.

"Now!". Akashic energy flooded the room in vast amounts. Both from the Creator and the force controlling and pulling in more of them. The force slammed into the outer circlets from front and back. Energy that condensed into the structure and stuck.

CLICK

Hildelith and Akasha found themselves linked instantly. It was like a whole new world had opened to both. And at the same time, it was like an empty expanse. In this expanse floated a blue figure.

'Is this where we make the rules and the architecture of the system'.

'Looks like it'. From one mouth came two voices. Similar and yet different.

'Then let's begin'. One hand wrote in the air as the other flickered in and out of existence. One mind focused on words and the other on actions. The first change was impossible to ignore yet it wasn't a change that occurred in their mind.

In the Great Hall, the structure the Creator had made began to well in one word, malfunction. The energy in it, the One spark became in a sense, volatile. Lightning flashed from one side of the structure and struck a wall, another lanced to the room and hit her throne. Bolts of deadly one spark scorched the ground. Clouds gathered in the Great Hall and weather ensued. It was a storm. Lightning sang through the clouds, hail, stones, and rain.

Pressures that were not of the Creator or her force. Then there was a loud snap. It was nothing like thunder on a stormy night. No. It was different. Very different. The kind that sent a heart into overdrive. That brought strokes and boiled blood. That heated the air and turned sand into glass and then glass into gas.

But it was also a bell of finality. Like a call to stop the madness. An order to end the chaos.

*

Hildelith opened her eyes to various screens flickering in her sight. Her mind tried searching for knowledge the way someone tried to remember their existence when mid-waking.

Several. scenes flashed in her mind. Dark expanse, lights, and more lights. Her eyes opened fully as her brain set. She was up to her feet in an instant or atleast she tried to. Considering she was standing already that meant she took a step forward.

Her eyes found a sight that was just as unbelievable as it was amazing to look at. Of course, the system felt like it had to go first before anything.
