| C2's Opal | Monday July 28th xx49, 8:07pm
This is a test entry. My name is Charlotte Crescent, also known as 'C2' to Charlotte Powers and her family. Daniel Powers has given me an Opal in order to more effectively coordinate with Charlotte Powers during our mission. I am still in the process of becoming accustomed to the Opal's operating system, some parts are counter-intuitive and difficult to understand, although from what I have read the OpenPAL operating system is robust and flexible. Daniel specifically told me that his LUS (Live Update System) would not be possible on any other portable device. On that subject, I am pleased that my condition does not seem to interfere with the LUS in any way that would prevent me from using it. Daniel has told me that the results of my 'synchronisation' were interesting and differed from Charlotte's in several key ways, but I have not had an opportunity to discuss this with him. Returning to the subject of the Opal, physically the unit is difficult to damage and aesthetically attractive (in my opinion). There is a wrist 'mount' to which the Opal can be easily affixed, and basic operation is both simple and efficient (although as I mentioned earlier in this entry more complex operations are counter-intuitive and difficult to understand). It projects a hard light holo-keyboard, which I am using to type this entry. The sensation is unfamiliar but satisfying.
The genuine version of this novel can be found on another site. Support the author by reading it there.
Charlotte and I are preparing to travel to Powerstone City via Daniel's teleportation system. (This teleportation system is a project I assisted him with, although my participation was mostly as a test subject. I did offer some small suggestions and observations, but I don't know how helpful they were. It's probable that my contribution to the project was negligible and that he did not require my assistance at all, but I am happy he included me.) My feelings about travelling to Powerstone City via teleportation are: excitement, fear, anxiety. I am convinced that action is necessary and that without intervention the 'supervillains' will soon achieve their goals. We (Charlotte, Daniel and myself) don't know what the goals of the 'supervillains' are, but as Charlotte has said to me more than once (paraphrased): "We have to assume they're bad!"
Although I would like to explore this concept (that is, the 'supervillains' and their goals) in greater detail, in part because keeping a diary is more interesting and enjoyable than I had expected it to be, Daniel is now calling me. Perhaps he requires my assistance in explaining something to Charlotte. Whatever the reason for his inviting me to join them it would be rude not to respond, and so I will end this entry here.
