The helicopters banked to the right and began a circuit of the house, the lead attack helicopter maintaining a lock on the UFO but keeping well away from the ship to avoid disruption of the helicopter’s electrical systems.
Half a mile away, the UFO cleared the gas cloud created by the explosion. It was in trouble, staggering in the air as it tried to remain aloft with sections of its hull blasted away and flames eating away the ship’s skin.
