The second reaction force was already in the air and flying east from McCoy Army base in central Wisconsin. Their helicopters were military and needed no preparation. They had enough weapons on board the attack helicopters to level a small town.
As with the smaller reaction force, they had been told to leave nothing alive within a mile radius of the target house. The crews wore the monocular night vision equipment designed to detect heat at night. It would be a turkey shoot.
Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
Other people had to worry about an excuse to explain the decimation of the target area. Most of the crews had been with the program long enough to know it would be something lame, an overturned train carrying toxic chemicals or a truck carrying toxic waste. It would be a stupid excuse that would raise more questions than answers.
