Rotors beat the cool night air as the helicopter warmed its engine.

From a building set to one side of the Superior municipal airport, men ran to the transport, their presence only mere shadows in the dim light of the single runway.

Four men ran to the helicopter and hurriedly attached spring straps to each of the side doors. From the straps they hung heavy machine guns, then slung belts from large boxes bolted to the inner decks of the helicopters.

The reaction force launched into the night sky, aware that there had been reports of UFO’s south of the city. Their orders were specific; nothing in the target area could survive, including the people who triggered the alarm.
