Chapter 164: Friends Visiting

Sigh...I was sleeping, I was rewinding about Seridov's death, I was so lucky to save Shera from her, both of us were about to die if I didn't stop that crazy woman in time. Because Seridov demanded to go alone to meet her, I rode my horse from Veta to Keris alone while letting Sarah hold the second in command.

I also led 40 soldiers with me but ordered them to wait outside the school, I had thought to use those soldiers to breach inside the school if I and Shera got trapped in the school for more than an hour. Because those soldiers were my land's soldiers and under my control but not the Prime Minister's, they would surely breach inside the school and would not join the Royal guards.

To talk about the Prime Minister, I bet he was seeing my wife and my sister-in-law were nothing but thorns in his eyes because of supporting His Majesty in the court, he wanted to wipe them out but were struggling. Maybe assassinating them was hard or that old man wanted to make their deaths look like accidents, but Attenta assassins were not that good for him to hire...or the Prime Minister was trying to save his money.

And luckily when His Majesty was away and both the Princess and the Queen were trapped inside the school by an unknown deadly killer. That old man was in charge and he could control the army to do whatever he wants without the approval of the King or the Queen.

The Prime Minister was a threat but I was sure that Hoster got the way to get rid of that old man...now I would return to Seridov, I walked inside the school and encountered her. She was threatening Shera, forcing me to disarm and I did what she told and she later came to me with a dagger which she stored on her back while she left the bloody bayonet in Shera's position.

Didn't know why Hatano's Advisor did not alert Seridov, Raptu came inside the classroom by her barefoot and went in from the door on the left side, she sneaked to Shera while Seridov was kissing me very deeply. I had tried to find a way to disarm and crush Seridov on the floor but I was tied after disarming myself, I was tied to a chair with my body, my hands and my legs tied very tightly.

After kissing me for a short time, Seridov suddenly expressed to me that she saw no way to escape with me from the school alive since she had used up the grenades and was about to run out of ammo. That crazy later said to me that she would stab me and then kill herself as the only way to be with me forever, Raptu was loosing the rope on Shera's hand at that time so I could only save myself.

I was lucky when Seridov was about to stab me, maybe to my chest or my throat, I shook the chair around roughly so I fell while being tied with the chair and Seridov missed but managed to stab me in my shoulder. Shera later got untied and she grabbed the bayonet which was dropped on the floor and ran straight to Seridov when she was trying to stab me once again.

My wife stabbed Seridov's throat and she died after saying to me her last words "You are mine...no one can have you, Commander...die with me". Seridov had also tried to push the dagger deeper into my shoulder but Shera pulled her away so her plan could not be made...what a psycho.

"Tap! Tap! John, please wake up...it's morning, husband." - My chest got tapped slightly and I heard a lovely voice calling me, that was my wife - Shera

I opened my eyes and felt my body, from my chest to my legs was covered by the bedsheet, in front of me was Shera, she was wearing a blue tunic and a lovely pink apron. Shera would make me breakfast today so she wore like that, I smiled back to greet Shera while patting her head and then got up, slowly got out of bed while seeing my wife.

"What's wrong, John? You like my new haircut? Being short is sometimes very cute, isn't it?"

Shera has cut her hair yesterday and now she was having blonde curly short hair - the new hairstyle made my wife look cuter and sexier...I must concentrate on my work. Despite the sadness of the school massacre, we still finally got married but our wedding was never made, 6 months have passed since the previous incident.

Shera didn't want to hold our wedding and I didn't ask her reason for doing that, she even later dropped out due to the shock of her friend's death, never go to school. To me, Shera was quite unhappy to have a controlling husband like me though I didn't know what my wife thought about me, I felt so sorry for her, today was not a good time for me to intimate with Shera. Because I would go with my subordinates to No Man Zone to visit our military camp - Krieg Base to see how was the training process and the recruitment process there work without the three of us after three months.

"John...please brush your teeth and take a bath, our breakfast is well prepared." - Shera said to me sweetly after kissing me

After kissing me, Shera hugged me slightly and I heard the door opening while enjoying my wife's hug, Ilis came inside the room and bowed to me and Shera. My wife later cuddled my face for a few seconds and then walked to the closet to grab out my new clothes and my towel while Ilis held her necklace.

"Good morning, my Lord, Your Highness! Goddess Katia blesses you two another day with bliss."

"Clean my room carefully, Ilis."

"Understood, my Lord."

"Ilis, remember to grab our breakfast here for me and my husband, we want to taste our meals here." - Shera said to Ilis when she was grabbing a towel

"You said you would visit your military base, John! Choose your Marine uniform, isn't it, husband?"

"I would prepare for you a coat that I bought recently, dear! It's still cold today, now is the spring but still very cold." - This time was still Spring though the road was still covered by snow

I later headed to the door and got outside of the room, at the time I got out, I saw Reimi standing on the right side of the wall to guard my room. Reimi hadn't cut her hair and now was wearing a brown fur coat which had a hood, this time was still snow so we were all wearing like this to prevent the cold.

"Good morning, Lord Rigen! I hope you and Her Highness have a good day." - Reimi made a slight bow to me and then stood straight to guard as usual

"Good morning, Reimi...you can call me in short like John or Rigen if you like, using social status title before the name is quite long to me." - Though we have already broken up but I would like to care about Reimi a bit

"As you wish...John...I will call you like this when...your wife is not with us...Lord Rigen." - Reimi blushed because of this simple chat?

"Have you eaten anything, Reimi?"

I nodded to Reimi and then headed to the toilet and then to the bathroom to take the bath, I was wondering if Hatano and Sarah had already woken up or not because they were not in Veta this time. I had already done my daily paperwork work yesterday when it was late though the paperwork today would have no one to solve it, maybe I would ask Shera to solve my paperwork.

Alright, I took the bath and then fastly changed the clothes and then returned to my room to taste breakfast with my wife, I think I would eat slowly today to have time to chat with Shera. Because I was always eating fast and always working, maybe I should spend my time intimate with my wife because she needs my care and I also need her, cannot leave her alone.

When I got out of the bathroom and was heading back to my room, I saw some clean keepers cleaning the toilet and maids cleaning the living room in the Lord's zone. Those servants, even soldiers did not wear coats while staying inside the castle, they would be equipped with cheap made brown fur coats while working outside the castle.

I walked till I saw my room, Reimi saw me and she opened the door and then I walked inside while Shera was sitting at the table, reading a book and smiled at me while waiting for me to sit with her. I sat beside my wife and then looked around the room, most of the windows were closed to prevent the snow from flying inside, only one window was opened in this room.

Shera slowly closed the book when I looked at her, she put the book and then held my hands, pressing her face to my chest and sniffing, I also patted my wife while looking at her.

"Hey, I'm sorry when I didn't care about you well, Shera! You stopped studying to become a housewife."

"You don't have any faults, John! I know that you always want to work hard for our kids' futures but...please don't push yourself too hard." - Shera stopped pressing my chest and looked straight at me

The meal was very tasty, I kept eating while looking at Shera, I wanted to give her a honeymoon or at least a lovely date because we haven't dated since we get married. Though I didn't say anything but I felt so happy to be along with my wife, both of us didn't say anything but only ate while looking at each other, the atmosphere was very cute.

"Hehe...please eat, John...say ah." - Shera gave me a spoon which has soups, my wife wanted to consider me as a baby that badly, huh?

"Ah!" - I slowly took the spoon which has the soups, the taste was very good

Both of us later ate very happily, I didn't want to suspect my wife but...I would like to stay home today to make sure that she would not cheat on me. Also, if I could then I would hang out with Shera today, maybe I should give myself a true rest day, not the days with overnight work and then play overdue when I get stressed, that made no results at all.

Both of us ate slowly to feel the happiness of being together but after a few minutes, we stopped doing that and then ate seriously, both of us later have done eating the meals. After having done tasting our meals, Shera slowly put those dishes and the eating tools on the metal plate, she later grabbed the plate and then stood up while looking at the door.

"I can order Ilis to clean our breakfast but maybe I will order her to help the other maids to clean the living room to prepare for my friends visiting, John." - Shera smiled at me a please smile and then headed to the door

"May I help you to bring the plate, Shera?" - My wife mostly does the housework while I was always working

"Umm...I would clean our breakfast but if you ask me if you can help me so..."

"If you can help me then please clean the dishes after our lunch, husband?"

"Though the maids are doing that work but I think you should help them a bit...I will also help you too to make sure no one of those women would glance at you."

"Okay, Shera."

"Hehe." - Shera smiled slightly and then got out of the door

Now only me inside the room, I said I was stressed because after 6 months since the time I and Sarah took over the control of Veta and Stansa, we have been expanding our influences to the Elves' and the Beastmen's Kingdoms. Thanks to the connection of Hatano and Sarah when they were still in Zaira village, King Ralla sponsored us the military weapons and equipment, even improved trading with Warsaw Kingdom.

Of course, the sponsorship was not free and Hatano uses the human Kingdoms' money in the exchange for the sponsorship. Because Elves' and Beastmen's currencies have less price than humans' currencies so we were not lacking money to trade with them but I was scared that we would lack money someday, maybe I have overthought.

Veta and Stansa become the center of the trade between the two continents when the Elves' and the Beastmen's Kingdoms were willing to trade more with humans, didn't know how long would this trade last but I hope it would be well. Also, thanks to the potatoes, now Warsaw has its own food resource and would no longer depend on the food import from Attenta and its vassal states, or our allies anymore.

But the problem was, King Hoster has just dismissed Attenta immigrants out of Warsaw a week ago so now the relationship between Warsaw and Attenta was a bit tense. A war was about to come and now Warsaw was finding its military allies when the war occurred, we already had Jager as our ally but only one was not enough.

King Hoster's aim was for Elves' and Beastmen's Kingdoms to become our allies, we need them for the war, Hatano also informed me that I would be summoned to meet the King at any moment because he was intending to hold a meeting.

According to Hatano's intel, I would join the meeting with King Hoster beside his officials and the Lords, even the other Kingdoms' leaders in Jurava - the Capital of Beastmen Kingdom. Hatano said the meeting's purpose was about forming the alliance between Warsaw and those Kingdoms, they would help us during the war against Attenta and its vassal states.

Let's hope that the alliance would be formed goodly because most of Elves' and Beastmen's Kings hadn't responded to King Hoster's request for making the meeting though the request had been sent to them 2 months ago. At the time I was thinking, Shera got back here when I didn't notice and then got to the bed and grabbed a green fur coat - I would not go to the Krieg base, I must inform my wife.

"Shera, I would not go to the base, I will stay home today."

"You didn't go, John?"

"Nod!"

"Sigh...I have already prepared for you this much." - Shera sighed a sound and then put the coat into the closet

"Commander, I think you should go to your workroom, your subordinates have come." - Advisor said to me when I was staring at Shera, maybe I should bring this guy with me too

I fastly grabbed Advisor and strapped him in my right hand and then walked outside of the room alongside Shera, after getting outside, Reimi stopped guarding the room and followed us. The three of us slowly walked out of the Lord's zone, Reimi took the lead while I and Shera walking behind her, maybe I should ask my wife if she can have a date with me today or not.

"Hey, Shera! What do you think if we have a date today? I would stay home with you to chat with your friends and then lead you to the Capital to hang out when your friends go home."

"What do you think about that idea, my wife?"

"Of course, that's great, John! Ummm...what do you think if I say I want to visit the Palace and then hang out with you on the streets, eat in a good restaurant and then go home?"

"Nod!"

Both of us slowly held our hands while walking behind Reimi, both of us later walked out of the Lord's zone and met Sarah and Hatano, both of them were wearing green fur coats and Sarah carried weapons. According to the Warsaw laws, except for the King, the outsiders even the Lords or the officials could not bring weapons into the castle when they want to meet the owner of the castle.

But Veta was the land under my control so I could neglect that law for my subordinates, those girls were my soldiers after all, they could bring weapons inside here to meet me since I trusted them. Hatano was suspicious but I let her keep the blue blade Katana as a weapon to protect herself because no one could protect themselves when they only have fists and legs, her guns were still confiscated till this time.

As I could remember, today was Sunday and yesterday was Saturday, Hatano had asked my permission to head to Stansa to stay with Sarah overnight there. Now both of my subordinates only had cut their hair a bit shorter, only I left my hair and my beard to grow up, they looked good on my face.

But anyway, Shera had secretly cut a bit of my full beard because it had grown up too dense, my wife suddenly squeezed my hands when I stared at Sarah. Shera's jealousy had gone down a bit much when she married me, I have asked my wife once and she answered a straight answer like this.

"Before marrying, I had many rivals, after marrying...no rival left because both of us have already worn our lovely rings...the proof of our true love, John."

Reimi didn't say anything but only bowed to my subordinates while saying nothing, she did peek behind to see the scene Shera was kissing me but didn't say anything. After kissing me, Shera hugged me without letting me out while I waved to my subordinates to greet them instead of opening my mouth.

"You don't have your own coat, John? Strange, I remembered that Princess bought for the three of us the same like yours, you lost your coat?" - Sarah asked me in her curious

"I would not go to the Base due to a private problem, Private Sarah! You will be the second in command of this visiting, got it?"

"Hmmph!" - Sarah looked away with her grumbling face, Hatano came to her and patted her little sister

"Roger that, Commander...but instead of having a visiting to our base, may I ask you a request?" - Sarah asked m once again while didn't look at me directly

"Nod!"

"Ummm...my sis said she would like to return to Zaira village after the military base visiting, she would like to collect our ammunition in the warehouse and have a private talk with King Ralla."

"That objective is approved, but Hatano must be under your surveillance...if she doesn't want you to appear in person in her private talk, do eavesdropping on her, Sarah."

"Roger that, Commander." - Sarah made a military salute toward me and then headed to the door

Hatano later bowed to me and then went outside with Sarah, this girl has nothing but a blue-blade Katana, her Advisor has now been owned by Reimi. Though Shera protested me once for giving Reimi that device but I insisted to my wife that I gave her it for only the guarding purpose.

I also wanted to see how was my subordinates so I headed outside the castle to see, Reimi and Shera also followed me but I felt like someone was wearing for me something. I looked behind and noticed that Shera was wearing for me my green coat, which she took from somewhere because I thought she had left it in my room when I didn't go to the base.

"Care about your subordinates is good, dear! But please don't look at their sensitive parts, look only at their faces, now you are mine, John." - Shera giggled while modifying the coat to make sure that it would cover my body

"If you want to look at anything that can satisfy your eyes, please look at my body if you want...please only look at me, John."

After wearing for me the coat, we stood together while looking outside the castle, the place was still full of snow and I could see some clean keepers and maids were cleaning the snow. Those servants were wearing simple fur coats while digging the snow away from the road by using the shovels, I must pay more salary for these servants because of their dedication to working hard.

I could see some clean keepers were casting fire into the piece of coal which were placed on top of the torches they were holding, they would use the torches to burn the snow. Normally, commoners were not able to be educated but the servants of the Lord and the King were the exceptions, they could learn the type of magic depending on their natural attributes.

As for the clean keepers, they would be allowed to learn the basic skills of certain magic elements depending on their abilities for doing things like lighting up the torches. About the maids, those servants would mostly work by hand, they would be able to learn how to transfer their magic power into the magic stones to light up the torches instead of wasting their time using flintstones.

The maids with the better individuals on working would be chosen to become the clean keepers, those individuals could choose to change their work or keep staying to serve as the maids if they want. According to the salary of each type of servant, the soldiers would be earned the most, next would be the clean keepers and the last would be the maids.

"My Lord, please step to the right side for your and your wife's safety!" - A voice from above shouted to me

I looked up and saw a clean keeper who was digging the snow on the watchtower, the three of us immediately stepped to the right side and then the clean keeper poured the snow to the ground. After pouring the snow, that woman returned to her team on the watchtower, I looked at each watchtower and saw soldiers and the maids also helping those people to clean the castle out from the dense snow.

"Commander, today is quite cold! I will visit the base and the village and then return here soon, I will also buy you some souvenirs!" - Sarah waved to me so I also waved to her

"John..." - I heard a cold voice talking to me, that was Shera, my wife was madly jealous to see me greeting Sarah with my lively expression

Sarah waved to me again and then got inside the green carriage with her older sister, the dirt trail has been cleaned all of the snow, it was very clear to go, the carriage slowly rolling its wheels to get out of Veta. Hope that today would have no snowfall, the sky was clear today, only the snow from last night fell over the place, Shera seemed to be a bit cold so I hugged her to let her have the warmth.

We later headed inside the castle and then sat in the workroom to wait for Shera's friends, now my wife was doing the writing part on the work papers while I was calculating with assistance from Advisor. About Reimi, she was supposed to guard but I asked her to help Shera so now both of them were doing the paperwork together, from rivals become friends.

I would like to skip my work today but maybe I would do my best to solve these things as well as possible to have time to play. Of course, work seriously and then play, not playing while working...I must concentrate on working, talking to my mind too much is not good at all.

Though I cannot solve these papers in the morning or the noon because I would hang out with Shera, I would solve the rest of them in the afternoon or the night. Maybe I will solve all of these papers in the afternoon to let me have time to intimate with my wife tonight, I want our relationship to be hot and lovely.

"My Lord, 4 people waiting outside the castle, they claimed to be Her Highness's friends." - A Warsaw Corps soldier informed me when she walked inside the workroom

"Alright, let them in."

"Roger that, my Lord." - The soldier nodded and then headed outside of the castle

The three of us stopped working, we put the pens into the boxes and put the papers into the pile on the left side and then stood in front of the door to wait for the guests. The door slowly opened and then 4 figures walked inside, those were Stella, Akane, Raptu and the little girl who was sitting on this fox girl's shoulders, those two looked like a couple to me.

Wait a minute, the little girl looked familiar, she saw me but said nothing but only smiled at me a very cute smile, poor that little girl. Because my wife was glaring at this little girl when she didn't notice, maybe I should warn this ponytail girl to not be too friendly with me or her life would be in danger.

About Raptu and the little girl on her shoulders, they looked like a couple because they were wearing the same green coats which seemed to be made from some animal's thick skins. The little girl kept staring at me while smiling at me as if she liked me...but my wife didn't like this, she was very jealous, please stop, little girl!
