Chapter 140: Escape From The School (Part 2)
After putting down Ruska's corpse, I started to grab the things in his body, I grabbed out slowly the weapons in his body. There was a Thompson submachine gun, a purple handle knife whose blade had a design similar to KA-BAR and a purple sword, two more hand grenades.
I also removed the brown leather ammo pouches from Ruska's belt and then wore them. The ammo for the Thompson gun had about 7 magazines in the ammo pouches, 1 magazine had been put in the gun, a total of 240 rounds.
I put the grenades into the belt and then looked around and saw Reimi had already walked into the restroom and dragged out our hidden weapons. Shera seemed to be nervous and unpleasant as if she was confused and didn't know what to do, I slowly tapped Shera and she looked at me.
"John...do we have to kill for real...?"
"Yeah, my wife! We have to do it or these monsters would kill us...you will get used to it."
"But...I don't know what to do...I'm very scared to kill even a goblin." - Maybe Shera had reminded me of the event when she and Reimi killed some goblins in Todd forest during the coup, she was very confused to kill
"Hey, don't worry! Everything will be fine...you can do everything...I will guide you." - I later hugged Shera a big hug
I noticed that Reimi was very unpleasant when she saw I flirt with Shera but she later stopped grumbling her face and then rearmed herself. Shera avoided looking at the corpse and then grabbed her previous weapons on the floor, we need to get out of here fast or monsters would get here.
"Reimi, get your boots off." - I told Reimi to get her iron boots off because the boots would make noises while walking

"John, can you please save the people in the school? I beg you."
Lieutenant Waley's Platoon had about 40 men but now 7 died and 4 were wounded or had been healed, 4 more had been sent to join the attack in the Palace. Which meant we would have to face 29 soldiers left in this school with the APC down there, I would not be dumb enough to do this but at least I must promise to my wife first, she didn't want to see her teachers and classmates in danger.
"I promise I will save them, Shera! But I will do it when I see I can do it." - This is not Hollywood and I'm not Superman, my wife! But I will do my best
"Sir Rigen, can you teach me to use this gun?" - Reimi asked me when her hand was holding an M3 gun which was the gun I stole from the dead goblin paratrooper before heading to the school
"Give me the gun first, Reimi." - I said to Reimi and then she gave me the M3 gun
I took off the M3's magazine to check if the gun still had rounds to shoot or not, after removing the magazine, I realized that the rounds were very less. According to my calculation though my calculation would be wrong or right...this M3 gun still had less than 10 rounds left to use.
"It's wrong, Commander! The ammo of the M3 has only 6 bullets left, let the calculation for me, you know?" - Advisor said to me after a long time of silent
"Shera, I think you should arm yourself more instead of carrying only a dagger." - Shera now only had a dagger, I must tell her to arm more
I slowly took off...shit! Ohh, there it is, the killer's magic stick. I grabbed the magic stick which was one of our hidden weapons in the previous restroom and now was on the floor, I slowly gave it to Shera.
"John, where did you have this magic stick?"
"Long story that I can't tell, take it as your weapon, Shera."
"But I cannot use a contracted magic stick."
"Don't worry, Princess! That magic stick has no contract so anyone who touches it can use it."
"May I help you something, John?" - Shera asked me after putting the magic stick in her pocket
"Can you please peek outside a few times to check for the soldiers, Princess? Report to me when you see anything suspicious."
"Okay...I will do my best." - Shera slowly walked to the restroom's entrance and then peeked outside, I should not have let my girls do it, even only peeking outside to scout for the enemies was very dangerous, I should have done it instead
"Reimi, this gun has only 6 bullets left, you can use it for sure." - I put the magazine into the M3 gun and returned the gun to Reimi when she was confused
I had forgotten to bring my sword so I was now carrying the enemy's sword, I drew the sword out of its scabbard and was very impressed at the sharpness of the sword I was holding. I later put the sword to its scabbard and took back my hidden weapons which were placed on the floor, I would combine using my M1911 pistol and this Thompson gun in combat.
"Sir Rigen, may you tell me the way to use this gun?" - Reimi asked me again when she was removing and inputting the M3's magazine to imitate my action to load the gun
"Sorry, Reimi! I'm also wondering how to use the gun in my hand." - I was now removing and inputting the Thompson's magazine, I had already known how to load the gun properly but didn't know how to change the mode of fire
"Why, Sir Rigen?"
"These weapons are very old in my world, my today's military didn't use or train our troops to use this old stuff anymore so we didn't know how to operate these."

"Maybe you just need to know how to aim and to shoot, Reimi! Let's me teach you a bit, this gun has only 6 rounds left after all." - I slowly crouched behind Reimi and grabbed her hand
Reimi was a bit confused but she later followed what I was teaching her, I kept finding the M3's iron sight, it was quite small but I managed to find it. I modified Reimi's shooting posture, pointed her M3 gun to the roof and tell her to tilt her head to her right shoulder to aim the gun.
"Like this, Sir Rigen?" - Reimi asked me when she was looking through the M3's iron sight, I hope my view to shoot the gun was right, I hope Reimi was aiming right
"Yeah, I think so! But don't close your left eye while aiming the gun, Reimi...your eyes would be unpleasant if you keep repeating that action."

"I can only teach you to aim and shoot as the basic drills on using this gun, Reimi! Remember to press the rifle butt on your shoulder and tilt your head while aiming to shoot."
"The gun's recoil and its loud sound while shooting are beyond your imagination, Reimi! That's all I can teach you." - I put my hand out of Reimi to let her practice using the gun
"Thanks, Sir Rigen." - Reimi thanked me
"I will go check the area, stay here to protect your Princess, okay?" - I tapped Reimi's shoulder
"Nod!"
"But Reimi...why did you behave...strangely today? You get frustrated more than usual, you don't even try to hide your emotions but show them out right away."
"Sir Rigen..." - Reimi was very shy when she pointed her below body to let me see

I slowly walked to the restroom's entrance and then sneaked behind a wall, pointing my Thompson gun out to see if there was any enemy around me or not. I hope I was aiming the Thompson's iron sight properly, I was using the lessons I learned from Call Of Duty game to use this world war two's weapon because today's US military didn't train us to use this old stuff anymore.
I noticed that there were two switches on the left side of the Thompson gun's body, I was wondering which switch was used to change the fire mode and which switch was used to switch to the safe mode. I only needed to know those two things, disassemble and assembling this submachine gun was not necessary for me at this time.
"You don't mind and don't have a need to use this military technology, Commander? I don't have gender but if you need me to change into girl gender then I would use a girl's voice." - This time is not for jokes, Advisor!
"I only need you to scan for the enemy, Advisor! I'm not too much friendly with technology because it has developed beyond my imagination."

I slowly moved outside of the restroom, the area around the toilet had no soldiers, I sneaked to a corner and peeked out to see. There was an Orc soldier who was patrolling around the hallway of each classroom, he didn't patrol the area near the restroom, I must keep my eyes on him.

Advisor's screen later popped up a blue sketch of a gun which seemed to be a Thompson submachine gun. There were words on the sketch of each gun's parts to show me the use of each body part of this weapon, I slowly read the use of each gun's parts.
I later understood and then touched the Thompson's gun switches. After switching two switches for a few seconds, I had already mastered to know the basic things to use this gun.
Now I understood which switch was used to change the firing rate mode of the gun and which switch was used to change to safe mode when I didn't need to shoot.
"A soldier who doesn't know how to use a Tank, a Plane or a Helicopter would be able to drive it if he has me." - Stop bragging, Advisor!
"My device would collect the intel of the weapons when you grab some weapons, even when you didn't know how to use them, you would know how to use them after minutes."
"Please listen to me, it won't waste your time, John."
"For example: You didn't know how to use a pistol but you pick it up, I would collect the intel of the pistol type and then show you the weapon's sketch or its animation videos to let you know how to use it."
"As same as military vehicles, if you don't know how to drive an Abrams but you sit into it, I would show you how to use that Tank after minutes."

"John..." - A woman's voice called me and my shoulder had been tapped when I was examining the Thompson gun to see if there were any more interesting things in it for me to find out
I turned around to look and realized that were Shera and Reimi, I told them to stay in the restroom but they kept following me. I was thinking about scouting the areas around here first before heading out of this area with my girls.
"Shhh...stay silent until I give you two my orders, okay?"
"Nod!" - Shera nodded
"Understood, Sir Rigen."
"John, you don't need to use me more or what?" - Advisor asked me
"Now show me how many people are on this floor, Advisor...remember to mark enemies in red dots and the other people in green dots."
I raised my hand to see Advisor's screen, its green screen showed me that there were some red dots around the place. Most of the green dots - which were the hostages were gathered in the cafeteria but there were two green dots in the toilet area - which were Reimi and Shera.
I was the owner of Advisor so I was marked as a blue dot, I looked closer and noticed two green dots which were away from us not so far, they were only moving around an area. Those green dots must be the survivors in this school, those people were now staying in an area and didn't get out of there, maybe I should ask Shera for more details.
"Shera, do you know which room is this?" - I pointed to my Advisor's screen to let Shera see, my device didn't have the option to mark the area's names, which made me struggle when it only showed me the map which no words in the screen
"What's this, John?" - Shera asked me with her confusion while Reimi was confused to look at the dots on the screen
"The area map of this floor, Shera! Please concentrate on two green dots on the right side, which room these two dots are staying in?" - I used my finger to point at the dots on the screen to let Shera understand
"I think...that room maybe the magic stick room, I think so."
"Magic stick room?" - I asked my wife because I was confused
"The room to store the students' magic sticks, we are not allowed to keep our magic sticks until graduated. Our teachers would confiscate our magic sticks after magic lessons and lock them in that room."
"Two people are still alive in there and didn't get detected yet."

"You two wait here, I will return later..." - I told Shera and Reimi to hide behind the Knight statue and then I sneaked to the corner of the hallway to peek outside
I saw something...a blue lizard soldier - named Tenn as I could remember, he was now leading two hostage male students in the hallway. Tenn encountered the Orc soldier on the road and both of them shakes their hands to greet each other.
"Advisor, I want to hear their conversation, eavesdrop now."
"Roger that."
(Hey, what made you go out with these boys, Tenn?) - The Orc soldier asked Tenn
(Lead these guys to the toilet, I didn't see Ruska anywhere, did you see him, Paranth?) - Tenn asked the Orc soldier named Paranth
(Nah, that guy must be fucking those human girls in the toilet, 20 minutes have passed but didn't see him get outside.)

I slowly got out of the corner and headed back to Shera and Reimi, both of them were quite panicked because of the gunshots. I returned and then made a sign in my hand to tell Reimi and Shera to hold their mouths while walking to avoid yelling when hearing gunshots.
"Bang! Bang!" - Two more gunshots, maybe the lizard has used those shots to kill the remained male student

I felt we were very lucky, the direction we had headed to had no soldiers patrolling around. Maybe the dark elf Lieutenant Waley had only ordered his soldiers to patrol certain areas to avoid casualties due to the lack of troops in the school.
But I could not conclude too soon, at least I found a lot of bullet holes on the walls, in the classrooms to the experiment rooms. The soldiers had made rushed shootouts in these rooms and then left, I found some corpses in those rooms.
The corpses seemed to be the teachers and students who were still alive but didn't surrender, they kept fighting to the dead, how heroic they were. We were now in an area near the magic sticks room, I looked outside of a window and saw the war scene was not too much bad, at least I didn't see any broken buildings, which meant the civilian casualties were not so heavy.
The gunshots outside of the school were very less as if the area around here had no combat anymore, maybe all the enemy forces had gathered to attack the Palace. Reimi and Shera were now trying to open "the magic sticks" room door because the room had been blocked, we didn't have a key and could not make too many noises like smashing the door to get inside.
"Try to call the people inside the room, Shera! There may be a chance they would open the door if we call them."
"Are you sure, John?"
"The dots are still showing on Advisor's screen means those people are still alive, why don't you try to call the people inside?"
"Knock! Knock! Teachers...are there any teachers in this room? I'm Shera Sonne, I and 2 more friends managed to get out of the dining room, please open the door and save us." - Shera called the people inside the room

I slowly sat on the floor nearby my girls, they were still calling for the people inside the room to open the door, I would see the video that Sarah sent me before heading to do anything else.
Advisor's screen slowly appeared a woman's face on the screen, that was Sarah, she was trying to modify the camera's sight or something. I could hear yells and gunshots in the video, Sarah was wearing a green helmet that seemed to be stolen from a goblin soldier.
"Commander, can you hear me? You are still alive, right? I tried to contact you many times but you didn't answer." - Sarah greeted me
"We are in the backyard of the Palace, Commander! Many enemy soldiers charge into this place, some broke inside and killed the King's officials!"
"Most of the officials didn't listen to us at all, Commander!"
"They charged their swords into the monsters without crouching, sneaking behind any obstacles like the other soldiers to avoid bullets from the enemies!" - Sarah was screaming on the screen because the gunshots were very loud in the video
"Ahhh, some bullets hit my position, Commander! See you later!" - Sarah said that and then dropped her Advisor on the grass and picked up her M4 which has been attached with the M203 Grenade launcher
"Bang! Bang! Bang! Spurt!" - The screen only showed me Sarah's legs when she was crouching while shooting her M4, her uniform seemed to have some dirt, maybe she had crawled too much
Sarah later lay on the grass and then picked up Advisor again, her face was full of tension and sweats. Sarah later dropped Advisor on the grass and changed her M4 magazine, the M4's empty magazine exposed to the camera's sight.
"Commander, the enemies seem to be scary but they lack experience in fighting with guns. They don't even take cover while shooting but only charge forward as if they are making melee fights and know nothing about modern warfare!"
"But I'm scared, Commander! I killed many enemies and I just used my grenade launcher to smash the enemies, their bodies have been shredded into pieces. I'm scared..."
"Sarah, where the fuck is another Bazooka? Give me another, quick!" - A yell scolded Sarah, that voice came from Hatano
"Uhh..sis, wait!" - Sarah dropped Advisor and then rushed to pull out a thing behind her, that was a green rod which had the shape similar to a Rocket launcher and gave it to Hatano
"Ahhh, grenade!" - Sarah yelled and then grabbed the grenade which fell to her position and threw it away
"Boom!" - The grenade exploded when it has been thrown outside
"Turn the fuck off the video record, Sarah! We are in a warzone!" - Hatano scolded Sarah and then stood up while aiming a Bazooka
The camera sight followed Hatano as if Sarah had moved the camera's sight to capture the scene when Hatano was about to shoot the rocket launcher. When the camera come up, the screen appeared a wide area that had an M113 armored vehicle that had been burned but kept running toward the other Warsaw guards.
Those guards seemed to have a bit of struggle while trying to use the guns, they didn't know what to do but panicked and pulled the guns' triggers to shoot the armored vehicle hopelessly.
"Boom!!!!!" - Hatano had fired her Bazooka, the armored vehicle immediately exploded when its armor hit the Bazooka
"I will contact you later, Commander!" - Sarah said loud and then the video ended
I felt like my body had been tapped by someone, I looked up and saw Shera and Reimi, both of them were looking at me nervously. I noticed that the "magic sticks" room door had been opened but both of them didn't get in for some reason.
"John...the door has been opened but no one answered..." - Shera was a bit nervous but I later stood up and then patted her head
"I will take the lead, follow me." - I held my Thompson gun and then pointed it toward the room before heading inside
