The beast's kin, Owl doctor Kory Wheeler, raises an elbow in a manner of surprise, giving Cory and Dolly some indication the man may have some familiar meetings with the hyena female.

“Grief Hunter, you say, she has returned to this town, I do hope in a state of unharmed. She does have that reckless behavior when out there on her job in getting hurt badly where on rare occasions the Grief Hunter will come to my working place for my aid in patching up wounds needing another set of hands instead of her own alone.” Kory says, pushing up his glasses at the same time.

“Yes, completely in great health she is, and we thank her for showing up at the right time to help in a situation that wasn’t going too well. Any longer, I fear things may get worse.”

Dolly said to the doctor, taking a side glance at Cory, remembering the moment Cory got clawed at by Preston when showing no mercy during his attack.

Fear was all over her witnessing such a scene; I mean, there in time, the tavern would have fighters, which only very rarely happened in their place. Yet strangers having no idea who owns the place, and that Glenda knows are lucky to be there during those times in taking care of things getting out of hand, showing those not to ever again fight that establishment.

Cory rubs the back of his head, laughing while embarrassed, thinking about last night and just today's activities. It does make it interesting nothing like that has happened in those times and he is glad for it.

The only one to know about those two things is standing right beside him, looking at the expression of being that person to know without Cory having noticed it. On the other hand, the doctor has, yet he chose to not say anything far from it being his business.

“Thank you, Doctor Kory, for your time.” Dolly thanks the man knowing him for yours when paying a visit since the time of birth.

“No problem, dear, always happy to help; you two have a good day now and say hello to your mother for me, would you.”

“Sure, will and come by the tavern; she would be happy to see your face again.”

“You're right…*HoHo*... it has been something since the last… *HoHo*... I will do my best to pay a visit soon dear.”

Cory and Dolly said their goodbyes to the good doctor of Holsworth leaving the place.

Outside of the doctor's place, those two were right at the center of the two of Holsworth, not far off from the adventuring guild. Probably, the man thought it was a good business spot, or the building was already there before the guild building, or at the same time they both existed.

Standing out front, Cory and Dolly were silent, not saying a word where the air around them felt awkward.

“So that means we’re done here, anything else, Dolly, because I got a place in mind to check out today before getting back to the tavern.” Cory broke the quietness to bring that up since out and about in the town of Holsworthy.

“Oh! What place do you have in mind.”

“The training ground, I heard of its location from the weapon shop that Oni runs that was paid a visit to when getting our weapons there.”

“Cory, what are you doing here?”

An unexpected and yet familiar voice speaks to him after some time from the last he has heard of it. Watching as that person was making way over to them being no other than the kobold Vex having a half-lifted smile on her face when seeing the human Cory again.

“Vex! It's good to see you again.” Cory says, acting on his own to go towards her and give a nice warm hug, catching her by a bit of surprise, getting a not-so-friendly reaction from her.

“Hey! I don’t do the hugging thing Cory let go of me.”

“Oh, but it's been so long, Vex, I just needed to hug you when meeting like this again.”

“No, it hasn’t been that long for you idiot.” At the moment Vex manages to break free from his hug and give a nice hard fist straight into his head.” Jeez, control yourself. Don’t do something like that out in public. I'm already getting a few looks from some people.”

Vex looks around, catching some people looking over at them; Cory makes a pouting expression after getting hit hard while, in the meantime, Dolly lets out a fake cough to get their attention on her.

“Vex, how are you doing? I see you return from another quest finished by your hands.” Dolly says talking to her normally, but there lies a little jealousy about Vex getting a nice hug from Cory and not her.

“Hey Dolly, yup, another quest is done, and I just reported and collected my reward.”

“So, what will you be doing now?”

“Most like to spend about two days of my time over at the library catching up with a good friend there and seeking out some good books to read in my room back at the guild.”

Vex didn’t have many activities when it came to having days off, but at the moment Cory recovered from the pain, he had an idea pop up.

“Hey, why not come with us to the training ground, me and Dolly.” Cory offers to the kobold girl, getting a surprised look on her face.

“Training ground in the town, what use would you be going there aren’t you going to be working in Glenda tavern.”

“It seems Cory is going to have an adventure joining the same guild as you.”

“Still in the process of really going through with-it Dolly.”

Vex was quiet for the moment while looking at Cory, taking in his whole form and personality, concluding the answer to be given where be a little hurtful, but it has to be said from a person already in the career.

“Cory in my honest answer, I don’t believe adventuring will be the smart move for you. By how a person like you is, there isn’t even a percent chance of yourself going to make it in the long run.”

“Well, but… I mean….”

Cory felt a different pain, pride getting hurt, and there was no way to heal from that anytime soon.

“Come on, Vex, that's a bit mean to say to him; the guy got to try it first before giving up on it.” Dolly let her know that she seemed to be a bit much in saying that to him.

“Look, just giving a sound voice, I'm not going to get in the way, it is his own life to do as he pleases.”

Vex starts moving, going in a direction that Cory knows to be the way where the training ground is.

“As in good faith, let all go there together; now you brought it up, I got the itch to do some training before heading over to the library, so follow me, you two,” Vex said as she went on leaving those two to look at each other and soon follow behind.

The three walk together for an entertaining time at the training ground, where a new person is going to meet this small group paying a visit.
