Estela and Cory said their goodbye to Elden who at least was able to wave a hand to them at least when in his deep working mood fixing up old clothes belonging to Cory to then study and copy its designs onto his notes of papers.
Planning to create replicas in his tailor shop one day.
The location of The Adventure Guild was at the center of the town of Holsworthy, a place where mostly those having stands and other buildings made business like any other day.
The two of them were only a small distance away from the large and wide building seeing random people walking in and out of the place wearing their adventure gear and carrying all different types of weapons.
“There is the guild as you can see from the people coming and going from the place in groups or alone for that matter,” Estela says.
“This guild place looks to be quite big.”
“Yeah, it's been around for about 7 years, you should have seen it when it was first built. It had a lot of needed upgrades over time and behold here it is after starting small it grows to this size.”
Cory was amazed to hear that; he has no clue how an adventure guild is to be run and wouldn’t want to as there is sure to be lots of hard work and paperwork for that matter.
“Come let's not waste time standing out here, you will be blown by how the inside is compared to the outside,” Estela says as it seems she gets the feeling would love that even more by so far of the
Estela and Cory walked forward to the guild front as he was the first to go grabbing the handle of the double door. All of sudden something from inside busts opens those same doors from the other side and Cory's whole body is sent flying back onto the ground.
What was the cause of that is the hulking figure of a humanoid male Minotaur bull-like creature wearing one set of silver armor covering the left whole arm.
The lower bottom half of the body was also covered in the same armor leaving only the upper whole chest and right arm naked, but there was a small little scar mark here and there. There were straps attached to that muscular body to help carry a large sword and shield which fits for one able to use.
His fur was light brown with long ruby red hair and black eyes with an iron ring attached at the nostrils.
“HEY! You big idiot, you got to watch where you're going, knocking the poor guy like that could have hurt him seriously.” Estela let it be known by how loud she was being at the moment that a few others walking by could hear this looking over to see what was going on.
She then checked on Cory to make sure he was fine and then hurt.
“Oh! Forgive me I don’t see you there please let me help you get back." This same minotaur offers his large hands for use in helping one get off the ground.
“It Alright should have maybe waited a bit to make sure that no one was coming out first.”
Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
“No, you are not at any fault, I always have this problem because of my large body it is difficult to pay attention to those of a lesser height. Again, sorry about that human.”
The way this minotaur person was acting kindly is something different than how we would have acted since they are creatures known in books or history to be hot-headed violent beings.
“Well since Cory doesn't look to be hurt then it's fine, sorry about that reaction big guy didn’t like to see a good friend being hurt.” Estela apologizes to the Minotaur seeing that Cory is fine and that this person wasn’t being rude given what they are.
“No need to apologize, my name is Hargur Honorhorn and I’m sorry to be rushing, but I'm in a hurry to take care of an important quest needing help with a dangerous monster.”
“Then we won’t get in your way, I know those Quests are not something to take lightly.”
They step to the side as Hargur is grateful, speeding up his speed to leave the town journey to where the monster is to slay.
“Weird, he was nice and didn't think a Minotaur would be like that,” Cory says.
“Yeah, actually the same thought me is having thought there is going to be a fight with him, they don’t normally act that way. Anyway, let's head in before what happens is repeated.”
Estela and Cory opened the double door together, going in to see the guild was full to the level of a high number of different races hanging out with others talking while standing or sitting down at tables.
Some check out a different board on the sideway with papers to be quest made to the guild seeking anyone who is at the right rank to take on for the reward offer.
There were even waitresses moving around bringing food or drinks to adventures that ordered it.
Only one star shocked by this is Cory since seeing a real-life guild is different when reading or playing a game about one.
“Man looks at them, so these are to be adventures; they look awesome and strong,” Cory says.
“All right don’t be drooling over them, yes they are adventures, but people also say that every day is a grumble if that person or group comes back here alive.”
“Right adventure life is dangerous, I guess that's the thing, I have to always remember whenever the day comes, I do join.”
“I don’t mean to sound grim, just look at this career as being a risky life, but on the other hand there are the rewards and the items found in random places too.”
Cory takes a look around the place seeing how big the space was of the building, noticing the employees working at the front to give their assistance to adventurers and locals coming to make their quest there.
So far there are three working at the front being, one humanoid male deer, a female cat, and lastly a male dog with a lot of fur.
At the same time while looking around, there were mixed feelings from those staring at Cory that Estela does not miss at all.
“I hope there isn’t anyone in this guild that has a problem with Cory, he is the only human inside this place out of everyone else. Maybe coming here might not have been a good idea at all. I probably should cut this short and try again another time when there are fewer of them.” Estela thought.
Just as she had thought it there it was truly happening as one of these adventures where a humanoid male Gorilla starts walking over to Cory.
“Say, whose idea was it to let this filthy person in this guild? This isn’t a place for his kind to be here.” The humanoid Gorilla male says being all angry at him without anything being done.
“Huh?... What a minute is there to be a problem with me being here, I wasn’t told there to be a rule about that, or this is because I’m human that causes you to act this way.”
“The human part, I don’t like your kind in a matter of fact, I pretty much hate humans and seeing one here is just pissing me off even more.”
“Whoa there take it back your Gorilla the human here is with me and if you got a problem with him then you got a problem with me.”
Estela makes it to Cory's side, being there to help him out of the situation that shows up out of nowhere to start trouble for no reason.
“Ha! So, you fox got a thing for humans or something since coming over here to protect the human." The humanoid Gorilla makes a face of disgust.
“I’m doing it because of someone like you seeking to start some trouble with him when he has done nothing to deserve it. So how about you turn around and go back to where you were or by my hands, I can make you sorry if you go further with this.”
“Oh yeah, and you think you're going to be able to do that against someone like me.”
“Bitch, I’m not scared by that shit face of yours it's going to take more than that.”
Cory didn’t like this with the Gorilla looking to be ready at any moment to attack, he looked to see if there was anyone here in the guild willing to step in to stop what was about to happen or at least one of the workers here.
Yet there hasn’t been a single one to speak out and to question why, but there was no time to find the answer. The Gorilla makes the move throwing his right fist coming at the side motion to aim at striking at the left of Estela's left cheek.
“ESTELA! Watch out.”
