(A few weeks later)

I have some interesting news, I have now begun to court Ebony. It’s been a long time coming, and I hope, that in the near future, I have the intention of marrying her. Ebony and I are walking through the woods in the human world when she motions for me to stop and be quiet. Then she starts running, her feet making no noise on the fresh fallen leaves. When she comes to stop tears are running down her face. “DUSK!” she says, running into someone who wraps his arms around her. “Sis…” He says pulling her closer. “Dusk who’s this…” A deep voice says from behind me. “Hendrix, this is my older sister… Ebony meet Hendrix… he saved my life…” Dusk says. Ebony gets off of him and looks at Hendrix. “Thank you for saving my little brother…” She says, thankful. “I have saved him from my siblings many times as well My Lady…” Hendrix says. Ebony laughs slightly. “I may not be one to be taken lightly, yes… But I hate formalities…” She says. Hendrix is shocked. “Sis… Does Onyx…” He says stopping because Ebony knows what he means. “No… He doesn’t remember you…” She says solemnly. Dusk looks at me. “Who is he…” He asks. “H-He’s my boyfriend…” Ebony says, blushing and looking downward. “WHAT!?” He yells.”DOES DAD…” He starts, but Hedrix puts his hand on Dusk’s shoulder. “Now now… You’re hurting her ears…” He says. Dusk looks at Ebony who is now hiding behind me. “Sis… I-I’m sorry…” Dusk says. “P-Please n-no more l-loud noises…” She stutters. I wrap my arms around her, successfully attempting to comfort her. Dusk gives me a death stare and Ebony returns it back at him. Dusk looks at Hendrix. “You know I love you… right… So, if you go with them, I’m coming too…” Hendrix says, Dusk looks away blushing. “Hendi… Not now” Dusk says.

Ebony teases Dusk for a little while after this. “Can we just go home…” Dusk asks, Ebony nods, “Of course… I need to make sure Hope hasn’t torn Griamore apart anyways…” She says bluntly. We all stand up. “Why am I the shortest one here?” She says, I laugh slightly. “Well you’re my shortie…” I say wrapping my arms around her, making her blush. Hendrix laughs too. “Well you two look like you’ve caught up…” An irritatingly familiar voice says. Ebony pulls away from me, her eyes blood red. “EZEKIEL COME OUT YOU DAMN COWARD!!” She yells. Dusk clearly hasn’t seen her this angry before. “You think you can actually scare… Wait Dusk is that really you?” Zeke says, appearing in front of Dusk, who growls at Zeke. “Sis was right… you don’t deserve my friendship…” Dusk says looking straight into Ezekiel’s eyes, which have tears in them. “Please, Dusk… I didn’t want to hurt you…” Zeke says. “BUT YOU WANTED TO HURT EBONY AND IF YOU HAD HURT HER IT WOULD HAVE HURT EVERYONE THAT KNOWS AND LOVES HER LIKE FAMILY. I DID WHAT I COULD TO PROTECT HER BUT IT STILL WASN’T ENOUGH… SHE STILL GOT HURT BECAUSE OF YOU!” Dusk yells furiously.

I look towards Ebony and her eyes look scared, sad and helpless. “STOP!” I yell, making everyone look at me. I step towards Ebony and pull her close to my chest. “You’re just making this harder on Ebony” I say directly towards Zeke and Dusk. Dusk looks shocked, I guess he thinks I’m a Pure-Blood Archangel. “How cute… you’re caring for a woman you know will break your heart…” Zeke says. Ebony’s hands clench into fists bunching up my shirt. “A-Argo, p-please m-make h-him l-leave…” She pleads. I look up at Zeke, furious that he’s trying to break her. “I swear on the gods if you don’t leave I will murder you.” I say, Zeke smirks. “I’ll leave for now, but I will be back for her…” He says then he dissapears. Dusk runs over to me and Ebony. “Is she…” He asks. “She’ll be ok as long as I’m around…” We all hear Shade say from the portal. “Now I suggest that we get going” Annex says from beside Shade. We all rush through the portal and Shade closes it after we’re all through. “Ok, who are you two…” Shade asks Dusk and Hendrix. “Th-That’s D-Dusk a-and H-Hendrix, S-Shade. D-Dusk i-is m-my l-little b-brother…” Ebony manages to say. Shade looks at Dusk then at Ebony “How are you siblings, you look nothing alike.” He says. “I’m is the only one of the three of us who has our grandmother’s hair color, Sis and Onyx have our father’s hair color.” Dusk says. “Oh… Ok, that makes sense. I guess.” Shade says.

Ebony is shaking badly and breathing heavily. “I’m going to take Ebony to her room so she can sleep…” I say. I teleport to her room and sit on her bed, carefully setting her down beside me. Lucifer appears looking worried. “Is she ok…” He asks. “Not really, Zeke showed up again. I don’t know what he did to her but it traumatized her…” I answer. Lucifer grimaces, “ Then, I trust you’ll take care of her while I’m gone…” He asks. “Gone…?” I ask. “I have to go to a convention today and I won’t be here for a few months…” He says. Dusk appears behind him and runs past him. “Please tell me she’s ok…” Dusk asks me. To be honest I didn’t know how to say it. “I don’t know what Zeke did to her but it traumatized her…” I replied. Dusk looks down, “If I had only listened to her about him…” He says. Hendrix appears and puts his hand on Dusk’s shoulder. “Dusk you know this was unavoidable…” Hendrix says, trying to reassure Dusk. “D-Dusk is…” Lucifer starts. Dusk turns around. “Hey Dad…” He says with a small smile. Onyx appears and sees Dusk. “Who are you?” He asks Ebony’s eyes open “Onyx this is Dusk… Our brother…” She says slowly. “I have another sibling…” He says, kind of confused. “Yes… You do, he's the middle child…” Lucifer says “Now if you’ll excuse me I have a convention to attend.” then he disappears

“A-Argo d-do you th-think I’m a m-monster…” Ebony asks. “WHAT WHO TOLD YOU THAT YOU’RE A MONSTER…” Dusk says furiously. “Z-Zeke… B-before you yelled at h-him…” She says, pulling herself closer to me. My blood boils, Zeke had used his already unstable connection with her to break her heart. “You aren’t a monster…” my heart begins to pound, “Never have been, never will be…” I say. “H-He said I-I deserve to d-die… A-And that I deserve the pain of losing the people I l-love…” Ebony says, her arms tighten around me. “He’s the one who deserves that… Not you…” I say trying to keep myself and Ebony calm. “I-I j-just want a d-day when I-I don’t have to k-kill someone…” She says. “I believe everyone here can agree with you…” Hendrix says. “Too many people have died because of me… I’ve killed millions… MILLIONS OF PEOPLE HAVE DIED BECAUSE OF ME” Ebony yells. “And millions more will die because of Ezekiel’s selfishness if we don’t kill him… Plus the people you killed weren’t exactly innocent, they had all done something to cross either you or your father… So don’t blame yourself for their deaths…” I say, gently running my fingers through her hair. “H-How it was my rifle that took their lives… At the time I felt no remorse towards them… Why now… of all times why now…” She says. A few hours after everyone left, Ebony and I fell asleep.
