It was only an hour later when I woke again, and Aries informed me that there was someone downstairs, here to see me. I hesitated, Ebony still asleep on my chest, her arms wrapped around my torso. Aries assured me that he would keep her from being woken up, he smiled his red eyes soft and trusting. I gently moved out from under her and headed downstairs. “Sir Argus....” Said Wolf’s voice as I walked into the parlor, and my eyes widened. “I hate to be bothersome, but… I would like to help…” Wolf said. “Help… what do y…” I started but he cut me off. “You lot weren’t the only ones in the forest, plus you were in my friends’ house… once I heard someone in it, which I found odd, I came…” He said. “You didn’t let me finish, what do you mean help?” I said and he smiled, “I want to help you find him, he escaped didn’t he…”He poked his ears upward, “I'm not deaf…” He said. I thought for a moment, then he spoke again. “Just like your friend Blue, he also took Remington, though he wasn’t as fortunate… either way I want Ezekiel dead…” His voice is cold. “Trust me, I do too…” Ebony’s voice says from behind me. I spin around quickly looking at her. Her unscarred eye is still a light shade of lilac, which seems to startle Wolf. He tenses, his blue eyes darken and his jaw tightens, his tail sways slowly behind him. “What’s wrong…” Ebony asks, she’s leaning against me now and she’s shaking badly. Wolf shakes his head and relaxes, though his eyes stay the same, “Nothing, I apologize Ms. Morningstar I just…” He says, but he loses his words. “Lady Ebony, Sir Annex is here to see you, He says it’s an urgent matter.” A guard said behind all of us. I look at Ebony. “Are you cold? You’re shaking.” I ask her. She nods “I only have sheets to cover up with so I’m usually cold when I wake up…” She says, and I wrap my arms around her gently. “Bring Annex to me.”She says. The guard bows then walks off to go get Annex. “Who’s Annex… A friend of yours or…”I ask but Ebony cuts me off. “He’s the acting alpha of my pack… He usually doesn’t come to tell me anything… strange.” She replies. A wolf walks into the parlor. “Alpha… A large scout group of our wolves has gone missing… Menma was the only one who came back…”The wolf says. He’s on his knee, bowing to Ebony. Wolf looked slightly alarmed by Annex’s presence, he was tense and his eyes were even darker, he kept his hands to his sides, but nothing could hide his claws, gripping the bow on his back just slightly. “Wolf, I do believe that Annex is your older brother… I’ll leave if you want me to Annex…”Ebony says looking at him. Wolf’s jaw twitched when she said your brother, he gripped his bow tighter. I couldn't help but wonder why he was so aggravated with Annex. “Wolf I-I’m sorry… Please…” Annex says but he’s cut off, “SORRY, YOU LEFT ME, MOM, ADDEX AND ARTRIX WITH THE PACK THAT HATED US. YOU COULD HAVE OFFERED US TO COME WITH YOU… MOM DIED PROTECTING ME, ARTRIX, AND ADDEX…”Wolf yells, making Ebony jump. Then Wolf’s face goes straight again, he stops clutching his bow instead puts his hands in his pocket, his face is unreadable. “Too loud.”Ebony says, her hand shaking. “I...I'm sorry…” Wolf says, looking down. I take Ebony’s hands in mine, gently gripping them to comfort her. Annex’s face looks starstruck, his eyes wide staring at his brother. “Annex… Bring Menma to me as soon as possible...” Ebony says and Annex snaps out of the trance-like state he was in. “Of course… I will bring him as soon as I can” He says, tearing his gaze from Wolf looking at her. Another wolf walks in smiling. “SHADE!” Ebony says, happy to see the wolf. She runs towards him and tackles him, making him hit the ground with a thud. “Ok, that’s new, what’s wrong… Wait a minute someone was too loud again. I’m right, aren't I Star.” He says. Ebony nods, hugging him. “Why were you gone for so long?” She asks. Shade laughs a little bit. “You forget I have my own pack to take care of.” Ebony looks at the wolf, well, pup behind Shade “Who’s this?” Ebony asks. The female pup jumps and runs behind Shade “This is Mika. She was abused by her parents because she’s a Galactic Hybrid.” Shade says. Ebony smiles “Hello Mika. My name is Ebony. I’m a Blood Eclipse Hybrid. Don’t worry, I won’t hurt you.” Mika slowly comes out just as Onyx and Tempest walk in. Onyx immediately notices Mika and his eyes light up. “She’s so CUTE!” He exclaims. “Onyx… stop you’re scaring her,” Tempest says. Ebony has her wings wrapped around herself and Mika, who had run to Ebony, scared and whimpering. “Onyx would you stop yelling…” Ebony says folding her wings up behind her. Her arms wrapped around Mika protectively, like she was Mika’s older sister. “Wh-who’s th-that?” Mika asks. “That’s Onyx, my younger brother…”Ebony says. Mika stares at Onyx and says nothing, then looks at Tempest then me. Her eyes were bright and curious, then she looked at Wolf, then Annex, and back to Ebony, “And them…?” Mika said. “That’s Tempest, that’s Argus, that’s Annex, and that’s Wolf…” Ebony says, pointing to each of us as she says our names. Mika then shakes Ebony off and walks over to Wolf, and her ears go straight up her tail swaying slowly behind her. Wolf let out a low, warning growl, and Mika flinched and whimpered. Wolf stared at her, his eyes were dark, his face grim. “Wolf… STOP… she’s only a pup…” Ebony says. Mika dashes back to her whimpering. Ebony smiles and gently pets Mika’s head, making Mika fall asleep on Ebony’s lap a few minutes later. Wolf flicks his tail, his eyes dark, looking in Mika and Ebony’s direction, but not looking directly at them, more like behind them. I look behind myself but see nothing when I turn around and another wolf was standing in front of Wolf. “Mira…?” Wolf said, he sounded almost confused to see her. The she-wolf smiled, then looked to Ebony, “I do apologize for the interruption Capitan, but I believe that I do indeed need Wolf for a moment if that would be okay with you…” Mira said, her voice gentle. “Very well…” Ebony sighed and Mira grabbed Wolf’s arm and disappeared. Ebony gives Mika back to Shade and walks over to me. “I’m going out to stretch my wings, want to come Argo?”She says, and I smile and nod, gently taking her by the hand.

By the time we get to the roof, it’s dusk and Ebony starts to cry. “What's wrong!?” I ask worriedly. “Dusk… It’s Dusk… little brother…” She says crying. She had ANOTHER little brother. “Where is he… I could get him…” I ask. “Th-that’s the th-thing h-he’s d-dead…” She said tears streaming down her face, and my heart drops. “Wh-what… how?” I ask her. “H-he d-died p-protecting m-me from Z-zeke…” She said, and my blood boiled with rage. Zeke had killed Remington AND Ebony’s younger brother. He has hurt her more than I have, even if I didn’t want to hurt her. I wrapped my arms around her, saying nothing. Truth was, I didn’t know what to say. I held her close, she laid her head on my chest, my shirt dampened by her tears, but I didn’t care. She was shaking slightly, her heart beating fast and her breathing rhythm was ragged. My mind wanted to leave her here and personally murder Zeke myself, but My heart refused to let me. The longer we stood, the more her heart rate slowed, and the more regular her breathing became. She eventually stopped shaking, and then I pulled away from her. I hid my face, avoiding her seeing the anger I held. “I know you’re angry at Zeke, I am too… But for some reason I can’t bring myself to kill him because he and Dusk were best friends until Zeke killed him…” Ebony said, and I turned to face her. I rubbed my hand over her cheek, then hugged her again. “If he were really his best friend, then he wouldn’t have killed him…” A voice said behind us. I turned to see Gemini looking at us both, his dark grey eyes looking almost black. He is dressed in full armor, his pistol in his side pocket. “Where do you think you’re going…” Ebony says, her tone as venomous as a snake bite. “I’m going out to look for Aries…” He said, though his face seemed to hide something. “Why would you go look for him… especially by yourself…” I ask him, and his face darkens. “Because I work better alone, and I don’t need help from the likes of you…” Gemini snapped. Ebony growls, making him flinch. “You didn’t answer my first question…” I say, and Gemini avoids looking at me. “I said all I shall say…” He said coldly, his eyes watery, clenching his fist. Ebony’s expression softened, looking at Gemini, “There is a reason, and it won’t hurt to tell…” She said softly, and Gemini kept his head turned away from us. “Gemini… what’s wrong…” She said, her voice soft but persuasive. He didn’t turn toward us, he didn’t even acknowledge her, he just stayed still. After a few moments of silence, he spoke. “L-let… me f-find him…” He said, his voice breaking, he looked at us and tears were falling down his pale face, his lip quivered. It was very rare for Gemini to ever show any sort of emotion other than his anger, but to see him start to cry was unheard of. Ebony walks over to him and wraps her arms around him. “Aries is strong, he can take care of himself and you know this.” She says, her tone calming and gentle. Gemini shakes his head and pushes himself away from her, “You don’t know what I do… if I do not go, Aries is certain to be dead…” He said, his voice turned back cold. “You don’t understand…” Gemini continued, he sounded out of breath, “He’s not where you think he is…” He said, jet black hair blew in the light, cold breeze. “What in tarnation do you mean…” I say, and Gemini smiles slightly but it fades. “You really are blind aren’t you Argus... Aries hasn’t been on our side this entire time…” Gemini sighs,“He’s on Zeke’s…” He says. Ebony starts shaking again. “N-No, P-Please No…” She says and she stumbles, falling to the ground. “How do you think Aries faked his death… how Aries is alive in general… how Zeke knew to use Colby for Leha, how to use Blue for Colby’s corporation… How to seem as though he was helping Blue… How to seem to Leviathan and yourself that he wished to protect Blue... it was all a scheme…” He said. “P-please, s-stop…” Ebony mumbled, her eyes looking stormy and animated. “I won’t… I can help all of us here, Let me find him…” He pleaded. “Please, I can’t lose anyone else to Zeke…” Ebony begged, and Gemini looked at her dead on. “You will… whether it's Me or Aries you will… I don't care if you give me permission or not, I’m going…” He said, his tone sounded commanding and dominant, then he disappeared. My heart drops, and I feel as if I’m frozen in place. “I-I can’t… I just can’t lose anyone else… First my mom, then Dusk, then Remington… now possibly Aries and Gemini… I just… I can’t handle it, Argo I just can’t…” She said, her voice sounded almost lost. I crouched down beside her, “Don’t worry, I don’t believe it’ll come to that… not one bit…” I say trying to reassure her. “B-but,” She starts but I rub my hand over her cheek and she falls silent. “It’s okay… Gemini won’t let that happen… he was only trying to make himself seem stronger than he really is… Trust me, he’s done it for years…” I say and she nods.
