I decided to go back to my father’s castle. When I appeared, the housekeeper, Elvana, screamed. “Sir Argus, I was not expecting you to be here Sir, the h-...” She began, but I put my hand up and she fell silent. “It is alright Ella…” I said, but I kept walking. I went to what used to be my room in this castle, and most of it was already cleared out and gone. My father was to be building a new castle soon, so this would soon all be abandoned. The one thing that was not removed was the wardrobe. Then I remembered that I had kept something in it. I reached up as high as I could to the top of the wardrobe, feeling for a certain small box. Once my hands were on it, I slowly and carefully grabbed it and brought it down to me. I rummaged through a drawer on the bottom of the wardrobe and found the key to the box. I open the box and find a smaller box with a bow on it, among other things inside the box. I carefully removed the bow from the tiny box and lifted the lid. Inside was the beautiful Blood moon eclipse necklace I had carved for Ebony the day I left. Then I had an idea, a great idea. I held the necklace gently in my hand, and I disappeared again.
I found Ebony in her room, but I stood in her doorway, looking down, hesitating at my decision to do this. Then I hear a sniffle coming from Ebony as if she were crying. So I had another idea, I looked around grabbing her iPod and headset, and selected the song that I knew would cheer her up. I quietly walked over toward her, and placed the headset over her head, and sat beside her. At first, she was surprised but soon after she turned over and leaned on my shoulder, just a few minutes later she fell asleep. I put my arms around her, holding her close, which also made me realize how tired I was myself. I laid my head on hers, and within a few moments, the soothing lavender smell of her long hair quickly put me to sleep.

When I awoke, I was laying on my back, and Ebony had laid her head on my chest. It was early in the morning, so I stayed as still as possible, attempting not to wake her. I ran my fingers through her hair, and I heard her whimper slightly. I look at her scarred eye and IT’S GETTING WORSE. My heartbeat began to increase, and thoughts of the worst started to overwhelm my mind. Then outside of her room, I saw a dim light. I was reluctant to get up and leave Ebony, but I needed to know what was going on. I half expected it to be Lucifer, or even just my dad, but part of me thought otherwise. I gently slid myself out from under Ebony, setting her head on the mattress to avoid her waking up. Then I slowly walked over to the door, peaking through the small crack in it. Before I knew it, a flash of white and yellow went by, but no noise followed. I slowly opened the door, and the light faded. Then on the opposite wall, I saw the light again, and a shadow was cast on the wall as well. The light went down a hallway, into a room far away from Ebony’s. I check on Ebony and there’s a long trail of blood running down her face. I was immediately alarmed, and I pick her up and brought her to my father.

“Argus, stop blaming yourself. It’s not your fault this is happening. It’s her own for pushing herself beyond her limits too many times in such a short period of time. Her body did not have time to adapt to the new level of power she unlocked. Her body will need more time than it would if this had happened after the first time she used this ‘Goddess State’. Though, her body is now rapidly adapting to the physical and mental backlash of this extremely powerful form.” My father says, concerned for both me and Ebony. “‘Physical Backlash’, What did this form do to her?” I ask. “It’s much like silver poisoning but exponentially worse…Please, do not worry too much Argus, Ebony will be ok.” My Father replied.
