"Well now your parents have asked me to take you lot of young adults camping for a long weekend. Now we wont be doing the things that I did in my youth because you probably wouldn't survive."
"It is no slight on you. Just the truth. You see I grew up near the wilds when this city was still a town with one single main road. When that road was called Main Streat. When we would be sitting in a forest right now. With bears and foxes and the like."
"I watched the city grow when I was young. I watched it grow when I came back from my travels. I helped grow it when I settled down with my wife. I have poured my blood and tears into this city."
"That children is why 12 streats are named after me. That is why we shall be having some fun out in the wild but nothing to dangerious. I remember when I learned the things that I am going to teach you. It all happend like this."

Our fathers took the lot of us camping in the deep woods, out far into the wilderness so that we had to rely on each other. The idea was to teach teamwork and skills to go with it. We would catch our own food or go with rations. We would prepare good places to sleep or face the eliments. We would take care of each other or fend for ourselves.

It did not take long for us to come together. Not long at all, just about 5 hours in total if I am being honest.
We learned to fish and where to do so. It is how we got our first meal. Then came traping so that we just had to set it up and then go and fish. This allowed us to learn how to gut animals for use. How to clean them and respect them while doing so.
On the morning we made coffee for the camp and set up for a day of fishing and swimming. While we were at it we set up bait lines for more fish. Leting them just sit in the water and catch for us so that we could do other things. With each day we learned how to make our lives easy and more efficient, this allowed us time to learn what plants were edible and to add more to our diet. To be simple we ate like kings because we learned how to do so. Value in the skills is always a good thing to have and we got them from that trip.
We learned so much and had plenty of fun while we were at it.
