Dear Youth,
I write to you on this day five years sense we parted now at the age of 89. I wish to inform you that I have been keeping abreast of the ongoing works that you have been a part of. I will freely say that I am impressed with the effort that you have all put into your endeavors. Part of the reason that I am writing this letter now after so much time has passed is because you may have heard that I was lost at sea or are otherwise dead.
I want you to know that news of my possible death is greatly exaggerated and that I am still alive and healthy. Now that the formality's are out of the way I would like to tell you a bit about what this old devil has gotten up to. I have been sailing with a crew that is as bold as they are daring and crazy in equal measure to boot. We have sailed into ports so dangerous that we were all armed for open warfare in the streets. We have seen sights that are as deadly as any ever were and equal to the first dawn of a new year.
I am glad that I went on this trip and set sail for one last voyage. One last journey. But enough about an old man, I have seen some of the things that you have done. What you have built truly impresses me and astounds the mind that children so young would care so much about the goings on in the world.
Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
I hope that our time together was well worth it for you and that you all go on to do even grander things. That this is only the start of what you will achieve and accomplish. As for a personal side note, did you ever find that time capsule? It has been on my mind and as much as I would love to be a sentimental old coot there and keep it buried for a thousand years or more, there is some valuable things in it that may serve you well. No matter what you endeavor to do money will always be useful in some form or fashion. Just do not let it come in between you and your friendships. Money is quite literally made of trees but friends are hard to come by.
Now I must ask you what this is that I hear of your little passion project. I forget what you called it in the paper but rest assured that I am interested. I am willing to fund a part of it. If you think that this is something that you would be interested in I shall give you the info to contact my layer.
At this point I am rambling so I will leave you to your work and wish you well. We shall see each other under that tree and eat all the good food that we can. I have even learned some more recipes sense last we spoke!
Yours Truly,
An Old Man
