"Gather round children because I have something to tell you. You see being around you all has made me think of what will happen to my memories when I am gone. Who will remember what we did? Where we went? What we saw?"
"I have decided to write a book and it is almost done. It will be of my youth and you will even be in it. I write this so that the Glory will never be forgoten. So that we will never be forgoten."
"If nobody remembers what we did then does doing it even matter. It does not matter because I will not be the last to remember those brave souls who faced the world head on. I have decided to tell their storys for all to hear."
"Now for another story how about the first sunset that I can remember."

I was young, so young that I don't even recall how old I was but I do recall that I was with the boy who would become my best friend. The man that I would go on to do so many things with and tell storys to for his entire life. His name was Austin though I did not know it at the time.
We were at the park with our familys to celebrate a birth day. Both of our birthdays as they were only 2 days apart. We had cake and played games until long after everyone else had left. Our parents were just talking and enjoying the evening air. we were playing in the sand when we looked up and saw it.
At the time we did not have words to express what we saw but we knew that the memory would stay with us for the rest of our lives. To say that the sight was beautiful would be to insult it. The only thing that comes close to capturing its essense is awe-inspiring and even that falls far to short.
How do you give words to a feeling, a moment in time that shapes what you will become and who you will be?
Because that word that I have searched for decades to discover is truly elusive.
