Something You Love!

"Gather round all you scallywags and hear me out. I am here to tell you that in life you must find something that you love and do it."

"It is you passions that will make your life worth living. If you do not follow them and make all the money in the world can you truly say that you have lived. If you climb the tallest mountians but never take a single second to enjoy the view was there ever any point?"

"Find somthing you are passionate about but do not follow it blindly. Watch it and find out what you can do to make it a part of your life."

"For me that was traveling and story telling and this is how I made it a part of my life."

It was after my first great trip across the United States. I had just returend home for the first time in 7 months and people were asking me about what I had seen. It was at that time that a old couple that had been in this town all their lives came up to me and asked 'where should we go for our anniversary?' I told them that they should visit something as grand as their love for each other. The Grand Canyon!

If you encounter this story on Amazon, note that it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.

They looked at me and asked why it was the thing that I thought of to which I said 'because it looks on forever and I think that you would like the view.'

So they went on the trip of a lifetime. They traveled to a place equal to their love and had a great time while doing it. It wasn't until they got back and told all their friends to ask me for travel advice that the full ramifications of what I had done set on me.

From that day forward whenever someone wanted to make travel plans they would ask me where to go, where to eat, where to sleep, and what to see while they were there.

It was not long before those that I went to school with told me to charge for it and so I had my first job. Showing people how to have a good time. Making them smile and their trips to the outside better then they could have been. I made people happy and put smiles on the faces of children. What more could a young man ask for.
