An old mans tale!
When the Tide Comes.

When the Tide Comes.

"Now gather round children because I have a lesson for you to learn today. We all get chances to do things, whether they be right or wrong or just fun we all get the chances. Now it is important that you learn to see the signs and take your chances."

"There will always be more chances to come but you will eventually have to reach out and take one. To change is to grow and sadly I have seen far too many in my old age that were content. They did not have even a tenth of the passion that I see in each and every one of you. It is sad really, to watch people waste their lives on things that they do not love because they are to afraid to take the chance and set sail for distant shores.."

"Worse yet those that fail and never try again. What was the point in trying if you never try something else."

After living so long and doing so much I decided it was time for a change. I found me a little island were no one knew who I was. I chose the canary islands and spent 3 years on a beach just living and relaxing and having a good time. It may not be as good as traveling across the entire world through land, sea, and air but it was the change that I needed.

Before that I traveled for the adventure. Staying in one place only long enough to have a good time and put myself in the spirit of wonder. Planning out my next trip and setting sail once more. It was my time on the Island that made me rethink how I went about my travels. It was this time that convinced me to make friends were ever the wind took me.

Friends like you that would listen to my storys and smile. Those that would be inspired by them and decide to live interesting lives.

Imagine it if you can. Me sitting on a beach all day, playing in the water to cool off and sipping margaretas all the do-long-day. That is what made me change for the better.
