When Mr. Lou was ushered out of the manor by Nox, the three brothers sat in Exeo's study/office room. There's a living room in it, so they all sat on the sofa, both Exeo and Ember are sitting opposite of Valens.

Valens was still a bit dazed by what happened, but his thoughts were interrupted by Exeo's question, "How are you feeling?"

Valens looked at Exeo, then at Ember, who both are silently waiting for his answer, he lowered his head, staring at his hand, and said, "I...I don't know."

The two older brothers both raised their eyebrows at the same and glanced at each other. They didn't expect this to be the reaction they would see with their youngest.

Valens slightly laughed and said, "I don't know what to feel. I felt happy when I saw earlier that the globe was gold, but didn't expect the purple, then it turned black?!" He talked a bit louder, which made the two opposite him flinch a bit.

Exeo was sitting with his arms and legs crossed, a hint of shadow covering his face, he said, "Do you know what purple color means?"

The boy shook his head. Ember who is silent, glanced at Valens, then at Exeo, and decided to explain it faster, which seems like taking too long to explain to their youngest, and might break down from this. "Val, look." Ember who is casually sitting opposite to him, with legs crossed, he opened one of his hands, and a purple fire is being emitted from his palm.

The boy stood up with wide eyes, he focused his eyes on the purple fire being emitted from Ember's palm and gazed at Ember, who was gently smiling at him. "You don't need to be afraid of this power.". He looked at Exeo, who just nodded, then back at the purple fire then swoosh! Ember's palms closed.

Valens asked, "Then, I have the same ability as yours?" He looked up to both of them, then at his hands, which he lifted mid-waist. He decided to try it, and concentrated his mana on creating the purple fire Ember has shown earlier. All of a sudden, a small ball of dark light is slowly forming, then it slowly got bigger, and the purple color had indeed shown! He gasped, and since this is the first time he is controlling this, it got bigger and bigger, and when he panicked, Exeo said calmly, "Breathe Val. Concentrate, try to dispel the purple fire, much like how you release mana, do the same, just the opposite." Val took Exeo's words and shut his eyes, imagining how he released the mana, much like a flow of water, and when he needs to cut it off, he just needs to turn off the water faucet. While concentrating, the purple fire from his hand is slowly dissipating.

Ember chuckled and brushed his hair back up, he said, "This is just the Bellator trademark ability". Exeo just nodded in agreement, he looked again at Valens and asked, "Do you think you still have another ability?"

The boy was shocked and sat down, thinking, "What do you mean? I suppose to have another ability?" The two brothers didn't reply, but just stared at him. Given the colors that were shown on the globe earlier, Purple then Black, it means that he has another ability that can be categorized as an ARM.

Although he didn't get the answer from them, he already guessed that there might be indeed a second ability. So he decided to test it out, and sat down; he closed his eyes, and breathe in and out. Then he concentrated, trying to feel the mana inside his body, and his brows frowned deep. He could feel that aside from the purple mana, which he could feel that he could see, there was a black sphere inside.

When he is inside his consciousness, he thought, 'So, this was the reason why it went to Black, because of this-' wandering his eyes around noticing slight swirls of black mana and suddenly stopping in his tracks when he saw something in front of him.

'...huh? A black sphere?'

The sphere is floating inside, while the purple fire is slowly surrounding the black sphere. He tries to manipulate the purple fire, trying to gauge what the sphere is when suddenly, it is shaking violently. It's as if it felt like the purple fire was slowly closing in and sucking in the purple fire slowly. He suddenly felt the danger of the sphere and manipulated the purple fire inside him to be far away from it. He suddenly opened his eyes and spat out some blood from his mouth and there was slight bleeding from his eyes when he opened them. The two brothers were shocked and rushed toward Valens. Ember took a handkerchief from his pocket and carefully wiped the blood that had leaked from both his eyes and the sides of his mouth.

Valens gasped for air, holding his chest tight as if he felt like he had a nightmare. The sudden recoil of the purple fire made him spit out blood, it backfired on him since he did it suddenly.

Both Exeo and Ember were worried, seeing their youngest bleeding, and called their resident doctor immediately. A few minutes later, Nox knocked on the door and let the doctor in. The doctor immediately spotted his patient, which is the little boy, and made his way towards him. He bent down and checked his constitution. This doctor, is Dr. Lewis, Bellator's resident doctor. He is the only trusted doctor and possibly knows that the Bellator family had this kind of ability, which is purple fire.

After a series of checkups, he stood up, and let the boy lie down temporarily on the sofa. He turned around to face the two worried Bellator brothers. All three adults were just sitting, while Valens is currently lying down.

On the other hand, while lying down, Val was still clenching his shirt, he could still feel the tightness in his chest, the backfire he felt, was immense pain. His vision is still blurry and then, darkness caves in in his sight.

The three adults knew that Valens would be unconscious so they decided to stay in the room and discuss. "Did he just awaken his ability?", the doctor asked them. He didn't care which one who'll answer, as long as he needs the confirmation. Both just nodded, and the doctor continued, "The cause of the bleeding was due to the backlash of his power. What did he do?", glancing at the both of them. Exeo explained, "We had him tested initially for the rank ability, and when we had the results, it is definitely a purple fire, he manifested it as well."

The doctor was shocked by this news, his mouth was slightly agape but then calmed his composure, he continued to ask, "Then what happened?"

Both brothers were glancing but were hesitant to say, but Ember decided to break the ice, "We think he has another ability, which is why, as you said, a backlash on his power.", he said matter-of-fact expression, without mentioning that the globe turned Black after. The doctor had his eyes wide, like eyes popping out of the sockets. He couldn't believe what he was hearing right now. For a second he was doubtful that he may have been having hearing problems, but no.

One, it is very rare to have an ability user with two abilities awakened... Although, in history, there was an ability user with two abilities, it was way back centuries ago in Clareo. Still, after that, there were no reports about having dual abilities and though there were some rumors in other countries, there are still no known facts about it, or just that they didn't want to have it known.

Now, he is in front of the two Bellator brothers, so definitely it's not a hoax. He shudder under his breath a bit and said, "So, do you know his second ability?" Both shook their heads, 'Ah, it means before it manifested, the backlash had occurred first.', the doctor thought and just nodded.

The doctor looked at the sleeping Valens on the couch, thinking, he might be getting a headache, now that there are three Bellators with the purple fire. Although, the second ability is just yet a theory, still, just the two older ones are already giving him a headache whenever these two would go on missions. He suddenly realizes that all these years, he needed a fucking break from these monsters, though the pay is high. He might die from work exhaustion before he could enjoy his life, his consciousness is silently sobbing.

'Huuu, my life, why did I do my best in the past?... I shouldn't have.' The doctor felt like being a normal doctor is now a really far far away dream for him.

Dr. Lewis coughed, he said, "Okay, I know the drill, confidentiality. Don't worry, I won't leak this. Just make sure that he takes plenty of rest. Also, although we don't know his second ability yet, he's still young to have it awakened, that's also one of the reasons why it backfired on him. Please don't make him push harder, let his body adjust first before you let him practice awakening his second ability."

The brothers just nodded and ushered the doctor out of the room by Nox.

As soon as the doctor was out, the two older males sat down on the chairs near Val.

"You think that maybe, he'd get his second ability from you know...the previous Bellator?", Ember sideglancing Exeo.

Exeo's right hand is resting on his right temple, with his other hand resting on the chair's armrest, he said, "That's a very big possibility, given the results."

Ember looked back at Val, contemplating, and replied, "If that's the case, it would be good to push with him having in the team we have planned."

Exeo glanced back at him, then at Val, and nodded. He stood up and carried Val back to his room for him to rest.

Who could have thought that after this day, the life of the three brothers would soon be busy.
